- Como 1907 have been promoted to Serie A for the first time since 2003 BUT as it is, their unique little stadium CANNOT be used for Italy’s top football division 🏟️ The capacity has been higher & lower over the years but currently it’s under 8,000 and consists of temporary stands. Como have gone bankrupt twice and it’s only over the last 5 years or so after wealthy Indonesian investment, they’ve managed to recover financially and are now THRIVING 👍🏾 Famous shareholders include Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas, the latter of whom is the club’s assistant manager. In Italy it is practically impossible to fix a stadium in such a short time before the start of the 24/25 championship.
The only viable solution is to play temporarily in a nearby stadium (i.e.: Monza).
Meanwhile, the new ownership is expected to accelerate to build a new one.
Dennis Wise have connection with Indonesian as well. I think he's in charge of Indonesian youth player "Garuda Select" project. Which also play important role for Indonesian national team success and Como sponsorship Mola is also Indonesian multimedia company.
I went to Como for the day around 2007 when staying in Milan, took a boat tour on the lake. One of the most beautiful places I'd ever been to. It was a weekday and no footy being played that day and I walked around the outside of the stadium. I remembered them from Serie A a few years before but didn't know much else about the club at the time.

As a Como supporter i can tell you that in italy there is too much bureaucracy.
For example when the society decided to add more 1000 seats in curva como, it took like 5 or 6 month only to have the documentation necessary. I can't imagine if the society wants to build a new stadium.

As an Indonesian, I am happy because Indonesian entrepreneurs are accepted in Italy and they are starting to recognize the genius of Indonesian entrepreneurs.
The reason is Erick Thohir previously bought Inter Milan from Massimo Moratti (former president of Inter Milan) for financial reasons and the club's increasing debt. After Erick Thohir bought and paid off all the club's debts, around 2 or 3 years later, Inter Milan supporters demonstrated and forced Erick Thohir to sell Inter Milan club because he was considered an Indonesian businessman who did not come from a football country 🥲
An entrepreneur's thinking is long, patient and not reckless. Sometimes his thoughts go beyond those of football fans.
For example, Erick Thohir sold all his great players who had good names and big salaries. such as selling all the main players such as Samuel Eto'o and other names. Then Erick Thohir brought in Martinez Lautaro (a talented young player who was previously unknown to people) and Nainggolan (a player of Indonesian-Belgian descent) who at that time played for As Roma.
Due to pressure from fans, Erick Thohir finally sold his club so that there would be no debate/commotion. then Erick Thohir sold 80% of Inter Milan's shares to a businessman from China and Erick Thohir only controlled around 20% of Inter Milan's shares, just in case Inter Milan went bankrupt again, Erick Thohir was ready to take back full ownership of Inter Milan.
After that, the young players bought from Erick Thohir now look capable of beating Juventus and winning Serie A. If Inter Milan supporters were patient and understood Erick Thohir's thinking, maybe Inter Milan could become champions in Champions League. Even if Inter Milan fans ask Erick Thohir to build a new stadium, Erick Thohir will build it because he has been a big fan of Inter Milan club since childhood, he will definitely be loyal.
I hope Como supporters are not like Inter Milan fans who when their club went bankrupt they were helped and when the club had difficulty competing in Serie A they asked Indonesia businessmen to leave (forgetting all their services & contributions to advancing the club).
be patient and let Indonesian business people think for a moment and of course they want their club to become champions and it is impossible for them to buy their club for profit or fame, no they don't need their name to be famous throughout the world.
The reason is, Indonesian entrepreneurs who buy Europe clubs only want to share happiness and maintain football traditions
Since I was little, I was a fan of the Serie A league and I still like one of the Italian League clubs, namely Juventus and my idol player, namely Alessandro del Piero & Buffon.

So I know the story of Erick Thohir's journey when he first bought Inter Milan and hopefully the story of businessman Hartono brother in Como can become Serie A champion because long before Covid he was thinking & wanting to find a European club but started from Serie B but it turned out that Hartono had fallen in lovewith the city of Como where the club has to start from Serie D and finally every year it goes up and then moves to Serie A. I hope Hartono brother is successful in Como and brings the champions.

The lakeside location of this stadium is amazing, but I agree with you, the venue needs significant investment to make it fit for the future. The temporary metal stand is not sustainable or suitable for top league play. I do hope that Como 1907 manages to stay up and keep the class in Serie A for more than just one season, so they can develop their team and stadium for the long run.
