Johvork2 All movies are cinematic, as they are cinemas. If you're referring to the cinematic effect, oh yes 60FPS will BECOME the cinematic effect. Just like how color and widescreen became cinematic before it. Once you get used to it, it simply looks better.

@NovaVerse @User, this wasuploaded at 4k60 in 2014 (or earlier). It's exponentially easy to render when it's not in real time.
Well this video was uploaded 8 years ago so they probably didn't have those AI interpolation software we have now; the movie itself was made in 2008 and more likely that they just re-rendered it in 60fps and then uploaded as is (around the time UA-cam started accepting 60fps vids). If they animated it originally at 24 or 30 fps, they just have to use their built-in time adjustments to change it to 60 and let the program interpolate itself. It's a relatively straight forward process, not difficult but does take more time to render.

Probably because they saw him as dumb, and manipulatable, so he proved them wrong by making a complex array of traps to show how he is not what they think they can make him. That's my take on it.
Because he was protecting their preys, the butterflies.
I remember watching this animation for the first time around 2009 or 2010. It remains one of the most beautiful and well-made animations on the web, with spectacular graphics and a very cool story. Pure masterpiece!

When i was a kid, I remember i bought this cd and was so excited to watch it. I used my neighbour’s cd player because we disnt have any. And when i played it, it would always pause at the beginning and never ply again. I didnt even know it was only 10 min, thought it was a whole movie coz i bought it from street. It made me quite sad and now bout to watch this at the comfort of my own bed, in my phone. Sometimes we forget to be grateful. The things we have now, are the things that one day we wished to have. Alhamdolillah.

Good question! Ignoring the fact that we've been conditioned for decades to perceive 60fps as uncinematic, cheap, and uncool, the [post]production implications of moving up to 60p are quite numerous:
1) You have to render twice and a half as many frames as you would for a traditional 24fps production. (Same goes for simulations.)
2) Multiply by 2.5 the amount of workload for VFX shots combining live action with CGI that require manual match-moving, rotoscoping, wire removal, cleanup, etc.
3) Need to shoot a slo-mo fight sequence for a 60p production, where the action is slowed down to half the speed? Well, get a camera that can crank up to 120fps, whereas for a 24fps movie, a camera running at 48fps would suffice for slo-mo shots.
4) Many, other things...

I used to watch this with my sister a long time ago when we went on holiday together with my mum and dad
Me and my little brother used to watch this constantly on this old mp3 player we had, and we even learned the montage music on the piano because it was so fun and catchy. Years later, it came up in conversation, and out of curiosity, I looked up "bumny butterfly animation" and this was the first result. Showed it to my brother today and we laughed hysterically for several minutes. What a throwback.
