Just for information, for the encoding part, I was on a friend stream who hit affiliate one week ago, and I had access to different quality (720p, 360p etc), so affiliates can definitely have this option at least sometimes

I have it and I’m not even affiliated
I actively try to get this by stopping & restarting my stream, it works most of the time, sometimes taking a few tries. My internet is so bad, I'm lucky to be able to stream at all, so I do what I can with this.
I somehow stumbled on this video exactly a year from its upload...legit New Year’s Eve of 2020.

Back in the day people said that you get more money from being a partner (e.g. subscriptions), that was always the main reason why i thought it was really unfair lulz.
What does the badge matter? Would’ve been nice if you elaborated a little bit on this stuff. Sounds more like a list I could’ve just read from their website or something

The delay might have to do with direct stream, from console to twitch with no OBS.
I just reached affiliate today on twitch. I’m trying to grow my twitch like my UA-cam channel. I’m on UA-cam more than twitch. Now, I’m trying to balance the two at the moment.

can you start as an affiliate then try to get partner like i’m still confused if you get affiliate then apply for partner later on when your channel has grown?
Yes you can go from being neither then to affiliate and from affiliate to partner.

many people have told me (unconfirmed) if pay per sub is different for partners versus affiliate... example: partner make 1$ more per sub.... i have found NO info can you show me where this is? if it exists. Thank you
Both partners and affiliates make 50% from each sub.

Scopex Gaming The minimum pay out for affiliates is $100.00 so the bits/subs are there but you do have to get $100 in total to see any money.
One thing I have noticed is the Twitch interface is ridiculous. I have no idea where I’m going ever and sometimes on stream I am struggling to even be able to pull up the chat LOL. I don’t even know how to see my subs. There was a section that says subscriptions but I click on it and it says I have one? I think it’s trying to tell me people I am subscribe to? But I’m not subscribed to anybody. It says that I’m subscribe to myself at tier 3 or some shit. The whole anaphase just kind of sucks
Braille Bennett He mentioned a 45 day pay out. What does that mean? Like if I don’t hit $100 in 45 days is it all gone? I don’t know how these subscriptions work. Apparently you can subscribe for one month? So to me that’s more of like a donation rather than a subscription. I got really excited because I just became affiliate and I got three subscriptions yesterday! But I looked them up and they are all for one month LOL

Shibby120 well they get more chat point things. And then they get no adds. So just remind them. And also I think if u don’t get 100$ then when u do finally get to it U get the 100$ and whatever else. Or it gets added to your next one. Idek
Which makes more money?
Partners by far. Mainly because the requirements are a lot stricter for partners. Meaning you will need more viewers and be active streaming more.

Here in 2022 as a Twitch affiliate I'm honestly not seeing why I'd strive for partner if there is no monetary differences.
