The show at first was all about the cars and flipping them. But after awhile it became very scripted and there was all ways some sort of nonsense going on.

What got me is he was looking for 6500 after discussing roughly 5000 over the phone. Also looking for work to be done on his vehicle. Started with his “fair” asking price but settles without hesitation for pretty much half. Then seemed hesitant to give up any contact info in order to complete the deal and get paid. Not positive he has the best intentions here. Looked up someone he knew had cash for a quick deal and not to mention this guys a “fan boy” for sure. Hahahah

I did have a guy try to sell me someones house,.. I googled him,, a shyster! I said where is the deed,, he hem-hawed something about a bank having it,,, yeah, right!
Happened to my pops years ago. Somebody had a house listed for rent. We went to check it out before closing the deal. Pulled up to some guy and his son unloading what looked like some lawn care equipment. Asked him about the house. He had no idea what we were talking about. We told him the house was listed for rent. He said no it isn't this is my personal home. He was on vacation or some shit and had just got back and needed to mow the lawn. We showed him the ad and everything. Not sure how that turned out, but people will do anything to get some info or money 😂
Here’s the low down on selling someone else’s house, the issue is that most homes now have the DEEDS ONLINE and people download them or whatever and forge people’s signatures,etc they get all your info because it’s all online If u dig hard enough and if u know the dark web at all u can run a search and see if said persons Info was ever leaked in a hack or database loss,etc and if so u can buy that persons complete info (ss#, personal cell,emails, passwords, EVERYTHING) and use that to try to get the deed swapped them take out home equity loans on the home until it’s under water (that’s usually what happens,) then one day the sheriff comes with foreclosure papers and your like huh? I own my home free and clear then u find out I owe hundreds of thousands in loans that are unpaid and it’s a nightmare to fix! They even got home title insurance to cover this kinda stuff just in case!

I enjoy the process stuff. Building widgets. Watching the wheels in their brains turning while they stare at a brake caliper for five minutes. AK and the boys solving problems was very satisfying. A second unit could provide an A story/B story ying yang angle for sure. RR out wheeling and dealing and the crew at the shop making the magic happen. I don't know the numbers, but the concept is gold. I'll expect an Executive Producer credit for this...

Been reading the comments, and I agree with most of them, so my suggestion what Richard may want to do is when he gets a sketchy lead like this, do a little background on the property where said vehicle is located, then contact owner of said property, before he ever sets foot on unknown land, if Richard didn't have the millennials with him, chances are this could have gone sideways very very quickly. Moral of the story, check each and every one of your leads out to make sure they are 100% authentic.
He did do some checking on it before he went. That is why he was telling the guy that he knew who owned the property, the truck and he needed to talk to him to make sure he could buy it and take it. When he asked to talk to that guy and the sketchy guy gave him the runaround, Richard walked. Now they will try and get ahold of the owner and talk with him about all this.
Did you watch the video? Richard did his background check ,ran out there , the dude didn't have title in hand and smelled like a sketchy deal,now he will try and contact the owner.

The guy knows that Richard deals in cash, so once the money was handed over he could just vanish, he definitely had no permission from the owner to sell that truck otherwise the owner could have been contacted. Plus he figures that Richard can afford to buy the truck and fund his own repairs on top of that so decided to try his luck, very sketchy indeed.

He might be working for the family to clean up the property but he doesn't have the right to sell anything on it, without something in writing that states he can dispose of anything on the property........Well, Richard lives to find another.

Richard, I am 125% sure that that topper was on the truck from the factory. Its the DeLuxe version as the standard version did not have sliding windows. There is a real nice RUBBER gasket attached to the TOPPER and not the truck bed. There will be a dedicated factory power lead from the cab of the truck on the drivers side that runs to the plug for the interior light in the topper also on the left front of the topper. These toppers are worth some pretty good $$ by themselves.....

That guy agreed to 3500 awfully quick considering he asked 5000 on the phone and 6500 on scene. I wouldn't be surprised if the family was looking for someone to clean things up and they came accross him holding a sign that said will work for food and he figured he can get a lot of food if he sells the truck. BTW if anyone thinks I'm prejudice I'm currently living in my car except for a few days every couple of weeks I can afford a motel and I have a job and pay my own way trying to save up for housing but things keep coming up, but I don't swindle people or sponge off society
