- Episode 1 of the fire wizard in helldivers 2. A simple loadout, to a not so simple difficulty. FLAMETHROWER, MINES, 'NADES, FIRE SHOTGUN, NAPALM...EVERYTHING FIRE. I hope you enjoy this little mini movie :) of helldivers 2 - took me a lot of attempts to get this~

I like using the supply pack and the orange armor, it allows me to throw 6 fire grenades and shoot the flamethrower at the slightest movement with little to no consequences

Damn, you’re making way better use of that jump pack than I ever have. I feel like I used it a couple times, felt underwhelmed, then never brought it along on another mission.

I actually run fire wizard as my primary loadout and Hunters are the bane of my existence. They either get in and avoid the flame jet entirely or they just choose not to die and become fireballs that spread my 2,500° Democracy back on my face.
My takeaway from this is that I need to give the jetpack another try.
yea don't sleep on the jetty - it'll unlock a whole new level of playing in certain maps with high elevation.
It's really map dependent. It's not great on Fori I find, but it's pretty great on crimsica

Hey Sketchy, have you considered changing your strategem keys to the arrow keys? That way, you can run and key them in. The only downside is that you can't use the mouse until you key it in, but a small price to pay for mobility, imo.
Another option is mouse buttons, but you'd need at least 4, and if you only have 4, I prefer them for my weapons.

Omg I did this for the flamethrower personal order, with the exact same loadout. Being a pyromaniac is so much fun lol.

Should switch out the revolver for the lazer pistol... that is the only thing i could think of that would be better this is the true tf2 pyro experence otherwize

They should make the breaker incendiary do a wee bit more damage, or make the burst fire faster also we need a fire secondary to complete this, like a little napalm grenade launcher

Is it your fov that makes it look like your flying really far with the jump pack? I swear i only go like half that distance
If you use the jump pack full sprint, with recon armor for increased speed and/or over a decline, you go way way farther. The patch maybe a week ago modified it to retain more momentum. It really is slept on. It never leaves my build lol

Something cool to note, you can fire your gun while you are using the jump pack. The trick is to aim before jumping, but the jump distance isnt as appreciable. Needs more experimentation.

Can you dial up stratagems mid flight on the jetpack?
You can but it'll stop your moving momentum a bit. So fire it up right before you land for the maximum escape velocity
When introducing the "characters", I think it would have been cooler if you had alternated which side the icon was on and which side the text was on. It just adds a little extra interest due to the variety, if you really care about putting the extra effort in for a minor effect.
9:11 And people want to sit there and tell me Hunters AREN'T the most infuriating enemy in the game
What armor is that? Also what boost are you using? It looks like you're shrugging off bug melee hits that would kill a non-wizard helldiver in 1 or 2 hits, and you dont even lose health despite not being stimmed up. Also how are your bugs so lazy despite difficulty 9?

@@2SK3TCHY yeahhhhh, Helldive with the blitzer won’t be great. But you could always do it with something like the Sickle! I treat that like “arc” cause it’s an energy weapon!

I would of used the flamethrower more it’s a great weapon and good for the bottle neck kills
its both great and risky, its wind up and wind down can put you in a pretty unfortunate circumstances. Too many times do hunters become flying fireballs right at ur face, turning you into bbq.
I dont understand why the game allows some bugs to two shot you like at 8:05
ill be honest, after doing a bunch of solo, i don't understand many things, lol it's so triggering.
There are times ill pop off, and run circles around them. But sometimes a hunter will put me in my place, with a jump, and well placed headshot into oblivion.

If that flamethrower was more realistic it would just shoot puffs of fire because if you hold down the trigger you just have like 12 seconds of fire. Also imagine if they added a mech with a flamethrower and an automatic grenade launcher.
I believe in HD 1 there was a mech with a flamethrower and a high MM cannon

The problem I have with watching solo Helldives is that is 85% running with only 15% fighting.
Not your fault, its an issue with game design and enemy hoards.
To clarify I'm not complaining about heavy enemies, but rather the hoards in general and our lack of constant firepower to deal with them being never ending, thus needing to run all of the time (and hunters, screw those things).
i honestly try to fight as much as i can, like you said 85% running isn't wrong - but i try to make those 15% be memorable
To be fair they said in a dev interview that the enemy detection system is built around senses (sight, sound, smell) so its rather realistic. Hordes of bugs popping out of the ground at their nest and hunting you down because you're running around blowing shit up is also pretty damn realistic if you ask me lol... it definitely forces a lot of running for solo players, but the game isn't designed around exclusively solo play just like real life combat operations aren't done with 1 soldier. Power in numbers, ya know?
With his build there is no way he could actually fight and kill them all.He has nothing for heavies.That build may work as support to kill the many little mobs while someone else clears the heavies.
