The art is great but the librarian part (cables dialogue) could have been more sophisticated. Maybe RL should have found someone who could guide him on how to have cable speak if he wished to make him more sophisticated. I don't know much about Cable and wonder what level of sophistication he has, and some of that would have to be the social class he interacts with, or has learned to emilate. I have always said I like RL's rarer characters more than his famous ones (don't care for dead-pool at all) and at one time I hated Cables look and character form what I knew of him, but he has grown on me over the last year or so, and I would be interested in reading a take on him (cable) someone says is his best take, because with his fully geared up war look, in tandem with his sophisticated speech and formal/profesional civilian attire (if it's how he dresses at times) he is peaking my interest even more than before I watched this video. I wonder if he always talks professionally (when written right) or he has a whole other persona in the heat of battle.
Apparently Shatterstar is supposed to be a ripoff of the character White Devil. Whose real name is Temple O'Rourke. They definitely look very similar, but White Devil to me looks like a cross between any random Fist of the North Star background character and Warduke from D&D. So everyone steals from everyone, basically. And the boxing headgear of Shatterstar is so goofy and hilarious and is kind of the main attraction of his design, and that seems to be a unique Liefeld-ism, as far as I know
Yeah for sure, I've seen the comparisons with White Devil online, it's pretty compelling... You are right, nothing is completely original, everything old is new again, etc...

Like most characters, it can tend to vary according to the creative team, or the storyline...
6:30. I need to trademark a character named “crotch-folds” immediately!
Great review man
Hahaha thanks dude!
