I tried both and it’s really hard to pick. The Size and comfort of the studios are amazing. But the audio quality of the solos is so much better, the bass drop more…
@@Kaito1417 I didn’t try the pros, so I can’t really say. I would definitely recommend the solo 3 over the studio for sound quality. I have both solo 3 and AirPods Max, and obviously AirPods Max sound better imo but solo 3 are amazing as well. Studio was mediocre
@@Kaito1417 I’ve had the solo 3 for 2 months. But from previously owning the solo 2, they do break easily. I’ve had solo 2 for years, and honestly beats are no worth it. Material is cheap, and the way they bend like that make them so much fragile. I’d never recommend any beats headphones as good quality, reliable and best value. I’d suggest you to invest in something else. The only reason I bought the solo 3 was because I needed something cheap, but also not that terrible, with enough of good sound to do daily tasks
Solo3 ARE NOT, in fact, left/right interchangeable. While the cushions themselves may be symmetrical (6:25), the angles are not. They angle outward in the back, so if worn inverted a substantial gap will be apparent in the front and excessive pressure will be felt at the rear cartilage. Ergonomically this was a smart design; they match the angle of the ear since there is no conventional stirrup pivot point like some headphones provide.
This video was incredibly helpful in helping me make up my mind between Solo3 or Studio3, along with realizing what may be a better fit for me in terms of on-ear versus over ear, along with the difference between the two styles. I previously bought myself Solo3’s as a treat for Black Friday, knowing already that I liked the sound Beats provided after trying out my husbands (which happened to be Studio2). What I didn’t realize was the differences between Studio & Solo, and how much the ear cuff size would take into affect. Although I have smaller ears and like the Solo’s proportion in comparison to the Studio’s ear cuffs (the Solo’s are large enough to cover a good chunk and seem noise cancelling to me), the pressure on the ears can be uncomfortable after a while, which is unfortunate as we tend to travel a lot via long road trips or by plane. Throwing in the fact that I’m a female, so I do have my ears pierced (3 on each bottom lobe, and 3 on my right cartilage), even right from the beginning the positioning and pressure can be a tad bit uncomfortable, as they not only press against my ears, but against my earrings as well. At first I simply thought it was user error, but upon realization of the difference between on-ear and over-ear, I’ve come to the conclusion that over-ear may be a better choice for comfort & extended wear, but feel confident in the decision of switching between the 2 styles, as relatively nothing is lost in sense of systems performance, and even a bit more may be gained with the ANC the Studio3s provide. Also, this video demonstration was just beautifully made, and gave me a sense of sleepy comfort & interest while listening to the voice-over, very similar to watching How It’s Made. Overall, I’m very pleased with all the different comparaisons and aspects, and will definitely be looking for any future comparison videos from this channel as well.
That’s really great to hear! Thank you for leaving such a detailed comment, it’s really great to hear this kind of feedback from viewers! I agree about the Solo3s ‘seeming’ to be noise cancelling - they do have excellent passive noise cancellation. So if you’ve already bought the Solo3s, are you able to return these and get the Studio3s if that’s going to be your best bet?
I have the both of them but I like the beats solo 3 because they have base but not a lot of base like the studio 3. Their more compact and they last More than 35 hours
This was the best review ive ever seen on any product, amazing review with super high quality images, videos etc. also your voice is perfect for these types of videos
I bought the Solo 3 before Xmas, but already thinking about selling them to buy the Studio 3. I start wearing glasses ( after decades of contact lenses) and the on-ear headphones feel quite uncomfortable with glasses on, specially for someone like me who only had earbuds before. I really hope the Studio will be much more comfortable. Thank you very much for great review😊
Hmm, have you already made the switch? If not, I'm not sure it's the best idea. The ear cups on the Studio3 are larger than the Solo3 so you may find the issue is even worse. It will only be the soft ear cushions that press against the glasses' frame so it shouldn't be too uncomfortable, but if you had an issue with the Solos then I'd just be careful! If possible, I'd highly recommend giving them a try on in a store somewhere. Any store, just to get a feel for comfort. Then you can look for the best price and by them elsewhere! If I can be of more help just let me know!
im thinking about getting these the i do want the studios only because it has more colors and i like how it has noise canceling so no noise will come in but ive read online the w1 chip works with android as well but just not the other perks which is fine with me as long as i can still use them but im not sure which one to get and i wear glasses but the only reason i want the beat studios is because they have big ear cuffs and i dont like my headphones to feel loose around my cars.
With either the Solo or Studio you shouldn’t have any issues with them feeling close to your ears. In general, both of these headphones fit snug around your ears which is great for minimising sound leakage. I personally don’t find any big problems wearing glasses with either headphones, but you certainly have more space with the Solos because the ear cups are smaller. As always, do try and get to a store to try them on first if you can. But ultimately, if you find the colour you like and really want that noise cancelling then it’s got to be the Studio. As a side note: I recently used the Studios walking home in an icy wind and they worked marvellously. They kept my ears warm from the cold and completely blocked out the howling winds - ANC works really, really well on the Studio3s
I have the beats solos. I was never in to beats because i always thought they were just a brand but after going trough sonys, jbls and other similar kinds i finally tried the beats and ive had them now for about 5 years. I had the studios in black and gold and I will say they are heavy, beautiful sound and base never had a problem with Bluetooth either but u gotta be careful cus one day my bf barely touched them and they snapped 💀 they do be hurting my ears after a while tho
I have studio 3 matt black wireless headphones and the quality is very well put together and the noise cancellation is very good too. My friend has the solo 3's and they are not very good and don't get as loud as studio 3's. The good thing about them is that the charge doesn't last that long and you can use it for so long w/o charging them! I wish studio 3's could be like that, but the noise cancellation takes away a lot of the battery.
I bet you're friend it jealous of you then! Yes, I agree about using the Studio3s with a cable when the battery is depleted - a real shame that you can't. Other ANC headphones can do this so it's a bit disappointing.

Flappy Dumbo I have them now, you have to have the headset on when plugged in with aux, but they have great battery life, charge quickly, sound great and are comfortable
I already commented on this video but thank you so much for this review! I just got mine and I don't really know much about what the buttons do but this review helped me!
@@randinonsense7360 Well like always sound is subjective. But I personally never cared for the studios. I absolutely loved the original MONSTER powerbeats, they sounded incredible on my sony walkman and I enjoyed the MONSTER beats PRO as those were great for rap, movies and gaming with good bass. Once they got taken by Apple I never really cared to go back and have been looking at other brands. Actually now they I think about it, I haven't bought a beats headphone in a couple years now. 😂
@@onetwo6039 maybe the studios are for making music. Personally I am not sure however I learned about the tweaking and how beats is just an expensive garbage. I appreciate your comment. Personally Dre is just making bank and even if the brand is out of his hands now he still knew what he was doing.
@@randinonsense7360 you're 100% right. It's just marked up branding. I know I said I haven't bought beats in a couple years, but I did pick up the urbeats from GAMESTOP of all places, but that was only because they were on sale for $36, they marked down from the original $100 + price tag. So basically the price was right. 😂 🤣
I wouldn’t really suggest headphones for workouts, I’d suggest earphones instead. But of these two I’d say the Solo3 would be better because they allow your ears to breathe
Tanzeel If you can push yourself to get them during Black Friday then do it! Beats prices tend to stay the same from release date - much like the other Apple products. So get a bargain whilst you can!
First of all: over-ear, rather than on-ear, so you'll get a lot more passive noise isolation (and also reduced sound leakage). With this design, you might also find them more comfortable since they don't press against your ears (conversely, they are slightly heavier). You also cannot listen to the Studio3s with the cable and the headphones turned off (so if your battery runs out, you can't listen to them, you can only do this with the Solo3). Otherwise you'll get largely the sound experience (connectivity, battery, audio).
i do indeed need advice.. currently I am in a state of beeing a little indecisive whether I should get the studio or solo ones. I would use the headphones mainly for the gym but also for university, travelling (and maybe sometimes for calls). I usually do not wear glasses but I do wear small earrings on a daily base.... which ones should I get
I find Beats Studio 3 very comfortable.....it offers the punchy sound i was expecting....apple w1 chip indeed is helpful when it comes to battery life as well as the superb audio quality
It's simple. Solo is on-ear while Studio is over-ear. People either go for in-ear(for comfort) or over-ear (sound quality). I can't find a reason to go for the Solo.
Hey can you use these with Bluetooth and the audio cable at the same time? for example can you connect them to your phone via Bluetooth and to your PS4 via cable
Yes in the sense that you won't be able to make use of instant pairing or seamless switching between devices if you're not using an Apple product. But non-Apple devices can still pair using the standard method.
DJ JazzyandJoe Ask yourself: do you want noise-cancelling? Do you want over-ear against on-ear? These are the most important things. Both headphones are excellent so just decide if you’re happy to spend the money :) my favourite is Studio3 (but I did have Solo2 for a couple of years)
Block Miners They actually have the same sound profile! But the Studio3 can appear to sound as though the bass is better because the ear cups fully encase your ears and reduce sound leakage.
Somewhat Reactions I bought the Solo 3 just yesterday and they work great the only reason I say studios u should get is because the over ear and noise canceling
Is that noise cancelling for the Studio ones quite strong like being in a bubble? I don’t like this because I get headaches but not sure if it’s strong for these
They are almost identical. For this reason you’ll have some people with the opinion that either sound better. With noise cancelling, the bass can seem more prominent with the Studio3 but in terms of audio quality they are the same
I am an iPhone user, but I'm looking for headphones that will work well on planes primarily. I own a pair of powerbeats wireless already, but they do not have an aux cord and they are in-ear. Over-ear has been recommended to me as far as comfort is concerned. Would you recommend these headphones for me? Or should I look at other brands? As a side note, I am also pretty concerned about style. Thanks!
Shelby Pinholster great question. As you’re an iPhone user, I’d definitely recommend one of these two pairs of beats. Since planes are so noisy, I’d urge you to go for the over-ear ‘Studio3’. Noise-cancelling can never silence a busy plane, but it will dramatically help. I always found I had to increase my headphone volume a couple of notches on flights before, so noise-cancelling will definitely help you here. Bear in mind you may need to remove the headphones mid-flight to give your ears a quick rest, especially on long-haul flights. I think the Studio3 look really great too, there are lots of attractive colour options! And of course the option to use them wired with an aux cable is there too. I hope you’re happy with whatever you decide to get!
Shelby Pinholster because they don’t press against your ears, you don’t get that soreness. The discomfort mainly comes from heat - as with all over-ear headphones. Also bear in mind that the headband feels a bit tighter when you first use them out of the box, and they stretch over time, but it’s not a problem for everyone.
Mike Guido The best bass headphones are Sony XB950N1 they also have noise cancellation (on/off) They go for $250 but they always are under $150 when sales come
Great question! Sadly, no. Noise cancellation is powered by the headphone's internal battery and cannot be powered through the auxiliary cable. As a result of this, you can't actually listen to music at all if the battery dies with the Studio3. So you can't keep listening to music after your battery dies, even with the cable (but you can with the Solo3)
Am i the only one thinking that the travel case of the Beats Solo3 wireless is really small ? I find it very hard to put it back in
You're right! This is poor designing. They do fit, but it is a pain to try and squeeze them in to the case, unfortunately.

Solo has 40 hours of battery while the studios have 22 hours solos also have a more sexier good look
Studio has 22 hours with noice canceling on and 40 without it on
Halo Gaming fosho i was just about to shit my pants cuz i wanna buy studios but idk if i want to cuz u cant have them turned off with a aux cord pluged in so no matter what ur wasting battery i think, do u know more about that
Flappy Dumbo I have them now, you have to have the headset on when plugged in with aux, but they have great battery life, charge quickly, sound great and are comfortable
Halo Gaming which ones solo 3’s or Studio 3’s?
James mitchell Corpuz studios
I already commented on this video but thank you so much for this review! I just got mine and I don't really know much about what the buttons do but this review helped me!
Always happy to receive more than one comment! Thank you!
I really appreciated the time stamps to avoid info I didn’t really need👌🏽
No problem, it's a long video so I hoped it would help!
Hi Porsche
I don't think he missed one feature. Good job. I don't understand the thumbs down.🤔
Thank you very much!
Possibly because the thumbs down means the headphones are overpriced p.o.s
Which one would benefit for workout?
Weight lifting and cardio?
I wouldn’t really suggest headphones for workouts, I’d suggest earphones instead. But of these two I’d say the Solo3 would be better because they allow your ears to breathe
Btw Amazon users solo3 because of Black Friday are 150 for this week
Brilliant deal ^
i got the studio 3 in the source for 225 dolares
Diogo Marques shoppers has them for $199
@@kayla-qd8sn they just got the solo3 and was limited to one color and they just get 10 pairs for store for two days.
Papa P now 130 for solo and u can get these studios for 180 used on amazon
I have a pair of beats solo3 and they are amazing
Awesome!
Should I get a pair they're on sale for 180 and I get a discount where I work. Should I get a pair?
So you can't use the cable with the studio??
Solo3 will hurt your ears. Buy studio3.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I just got the shadow grey studio 3 and i love them! Your video made my decision!
Ah that's really good to hear! Really glad you like them!
Thank you!
Really a decent review ever watched about beats. Thank for info👌
Thanks a lot!
I’m going to get one this Black Friday I’m so happy. Btw what a good video!
Logang Pauler4life hey same
Awesome guys! I hope you enjoy it!
Mann I rally want the solo 3s from Best Buy for Black Friday but I don’t have $210
Tanzeel ahh man Maybe u can get it this Boxing Day.
Tanzeel If you can push yourself to get them during Black Friday then do it! Beats prices tend to stay the same from release date - much like the other Apple products. So get a bargain whilst you can!
Hola estoy por comprarme los Beats Studio 3 wirelees me los recomiendas o cuál me recomendarías comprar? Gracias.
Any one 2019
Did he say anything about the sound comparison of these two? I have studio 1, 2 , and 3s and I've never heard the solo's at all.
Omg now i cant WAIT to get my studio 3’s!!!
Cool Aid67 How are they?!
They are amazing, definitely recommend!
What one hav more bass? nd louder
I prefer studio 3 because they surround your ear which is more comfortable and you can listen to music louder
Agreed!
So if I turn off noise canceling, how would they be compared to the solo 3s?
First of all: over-ear, rather than on-ear, so you'll get a lot more passive noise isolation (and also reduced sound leakage). With this design, you might also find them more comfortable since they don't press against your ears (conversely, they are slightly heavier). You also cannot listen to the Studio3s with the cable and the headphones turned off (so if your battery runs out, you can't listen to them, you can only do this with the Solo3). Otherwise you'll get largely the sound experience (connectivity, battery, audio).
I really want this beast studio 3 in my hand and on my ear.
One day i well get it i hope.
Nice video
Did you get it yet?
i do indeed need advice.. currently I am in a state of beeing a little indecisive whether I should get the studio or solo ones.
Enjoy!
i bought the studio3's and don't regret it at all thank you so much u helped me a lot
I instantly returned my studio 3s after I tried the Sony 1000xm4s.. miles better in every aspect
@@deang7004 i just returned my sony’s due to how bad they were, in exchange to the Beats, they’re a lot better than the overrated sony’s
Exactly what I needed . Wanted to know which to buy
It's simple.
Solo is on-ear while Studio is over-ear. People either go for in-ear(for comfort) or over-ear (sound quality). I can't find a reason to go for the Solo.
Very good, wish you had more subs. Keep up the good work, just subbed.
Double X Panda awesome, thank you!
Hey can you use these with Bluetooth and the audio cable at the same time? for example can you connect them to your phone via Bluetooth and to your PS4 via cable
No you can’t do this
You Deserve more Subs!!!
thank you!
So r the solo 3 better? Cuz I kinda already got them
Do can I use studio 3 with my IOS 10 ?
Yeah of course! If you're on iOS 10 then these will still work absolutely fine
Im upgrading my solo 3s to the studio 3s. Im so excited. :)
Yo, after 7 months. Do u feel they r much better than the solos?
Love the effort and time you put into this well made video definitely earned a sun my friend
Michael Fuentez thank you very much!
Does the studio wireless is compatible with samsung galaxy note 5?
Does thw chip only work with apple??
Yes in the sense that you won't be able to make use of instant pairing or seamless switching between devices if you're not using an Apple product. But non-Apple devices can still pair using the standard method.
what do you recommend? Solo or studio?
So I was thinking witch one I should get the solo 3 or the studio 3 so overall witch one would you rather get/buy???
DJ JazzyandJoe Ask yourself: do you want noise-cancelling? Do you want over-ear against on-ear? These are the most important things. Both headphones are excellent so just decide if you’re happy to spend the money :) my favourite is Studio3 (but I did have Solo2 for a couple of years)
GamerTech _ which do you think has better bass solo3 or studio? I would be glad to know. Ty
Get the solo solo has better sound the studio is a little muffled
I got beats solo 3 at Walmart today , and they sound good when you watch videos
Subscribed dude. Excellent review.
Thank you very much!
I want to grab one of them , but which one is better guys? SOLO or STUDIO ??? In dilemma ..
If you want active noise cancellation, go for the Studios. If you don't need it, the Solos will be perfectly good enough
InsideTech ohh so solo doesn't have noise cancelling Yea? Alright thanks bud
That’s correct
Thank you so much I needed this
You’re very welcome!
Is that noise cancelling for the Studio ones quite strong like being in a bubble? I don’t like this because I get headaches but not sure if it’s strong for these
anyone planning on getting on a mac w the free beats and tryna see which of the free headphones to get? lmaooo, which one yall getting
Yes sirrr
Wich one you got ?
S G lol
mac w free beats? where
Which one should I get
You are really good at reviewing products great video 👍
Thank you very much!
24.2k subs. You have come a long way
Thank you!
I swear on my life I will get the studio 3s I’ve wanted them all this time
Jay Breezy facts bro. I’m buying mine today
Do you have them?
Are they worth it? Thinking of buying them
What’s the difference in sound quality between the solo and studios? Are the studios any better or do they sound roughly the same?
They are almost identical. For this reason you’ll have some people with the opinion that either sound better. With noise cancelling, the bass can seem more prominent with the Studio3 but in terms of audio quality they are the same
do these headphones work at android?
Joona Helin Yes! No switching between devices seamlessly like with Apple devices but it still works fine
So does the noice cancelling stuff still work on non-apple phones?
Yes!
Who is listening on the mat black beats with me
2Much _Nick don’t care that you have beats dumbo I have them to but not trying to flex with them and your gamer pic is literally Supreme cmon
Me but with studio 3's
Do a bass test
Myn are the gray and gold pair and thar studio 3s
I’m using navy
Quick Question: I skateboard a lot so I'm wondering whether these are sweat/water-resistant. Thank You!
No, they aren't
@@insidetechltd ok thank you
Very helpful vid, thanks! I’ve been debating which ones to get but I think i’m leaning towards the studio3 beats now
I am an iPhone user, but I'm looking for headphones that will work well on planes primarily.
With the studio 3, is the discomfort mostly heat or do you have some fatigue and soreness as well?
Shelby Pinholster because they don’t press against your ears, you don’t get that soreness. The discomfort mainly comes from heat - as with all over-ear headphones. Also bear in mind that the headband feels a bit tighter when you first use them out of the box, and they stretch over time, but it’s not a problem for everyone.
Thank you!
Here before 100 subs! You need the extra ~9 subs and maaaaaaaaaaaany more
Thanks a lot! Big fan of llamas too!
Penguin Fan He has 1,147 now
Penguin Fan which one has better bass best bass skull Candy crush
Mike Guido
The best bass headphones are Sony XB950N1 they also have noise cancellation (on/off)
They go for $250 but they always are under $150 when sales come
Hi
Little question, can u use the noise cancelation when the battery dies and u use the mini jack cable?
Nice video! c:
Great question! Sadly, no. Noise cancellation is powered by the headphone's internal battery and cannot be powered through the auxiliary cable. As a result of this, you can't actually listen to music at all if the battery dies with the Studio3. So you can't keep listening to music after your battery dies, even with the cable (but you can with the Solo3)
U honesty deserve way more views and subs than unbox therapy. U r so professional and everything
Tanzeel thank you! Really appreciate that 👌🏼
Bro deadass u need more subs don’t stop the grind 🙏✅💯
Thanks a lot!
