Big part of the issue with Abreu's candidacy was that the Phillies were not good when he was in his prime there and then went on that 5 year run after he got traded. To me, he's alot like Bobby Bonds, a guy who was very good who had such a wide rannging skillet that the only comparable players were near inner circle Hall of Famers
Bobby Abreu, I remember when played for the Phillies and the Yankees. The guy could rake. Only two all star games doesn't really say how good he was. Maybe not a hall of famer, but a great player for sure.
