Hello aymoonchild! I have been following your reactions to Dimash from the very beginning. I know people are different and everyone has a different attitude to a certain song. You don't have to like every one of his performances. But in my opinion, this is a matter of "resonance" of the soul. This is the emotion that a person CAN get from the song. I sincerely hope that the time will come, when the text will not matter to you but only his voice.
Hello Stela, thank you for your comment. Words and texts will always matter to me because I’m very aware of the power words hold. I also strongly view a singer as a messenger especially if the lyrics weren’t written by the interpret. Poems and lyrics should be equally acknowledged. ☺️

Yes, Igor composed it for Lara Fabian (Dimash’s idol) who wrote the original french version and produced the song. Another songwriter wrote russian lyrics for Dimash. He covered several songs from Mademoiselle Zhivago, a concept album written by Igor and Lara (a masterpiece). Great reaction!
its not about the situation you are now. its the way he deliver this song. If you can feel it it will touch you even if you dont understand what he is singing about.

I think all of us have those Dimash songs that hit harder. Mine is definitely Ikanaide, along with Restart My Love and Okinish. Whereas Ave Maria and Know do nothing for me. But that's where we are incredibly lucky with Dimash as he's so diverse and versatile that we can pick and choose through a range of genres and songs and there will always be something to make us happy.

While we all love his live performances we also know how incredibly well produced his music videos are and in this case it is a beautiful song and the video is beautifully filmed. Как этот юный молодой человек так умеет передавать чувства и переживания зрелых людей! Здесь история идет не от одного лица, здесь, как и во многих других песнях, когда Димаш переходит на фальцет, он исполняет женскую партию, и слова песни уже идут от женщины, это диалог. Не все реакционеры это различают. Думаю, что проблема в перводе на русский язык. Субтитры на английском не передают эту разницу в полах, и не понятно по субтитрам, что в песне сейчас идет диалог между ним и ней. И, конечно же, на русском эта песня звучит очень лирично, нет ни одного лишнего или лишенного смысла слова. Спасибо за искренность!

As with other songs, there are multiple versions of "Daybreak". This one is from Gloria Wu's channel and has English subtitles translated by her. In this Dimash has to have treatment on his throat the day he is supposed to perform "Daybreak" on "The Singer" TV show. When I first listen to Dimash and for some time, I thought that the love stories he sang about had something to do with him, perhaps because I had heard that a girl had broken his heart when he was younger. Sometimes I think it's hard to relate to some of the songs as the words are cultural as in refers to Swans which is not our normal thoughts in a love song . Ciò che commuove me forse non commuoverà te. Ad esempio io amo molto un brano che ha cantato e dedicato al suo mentore morto di covid. Il testo di questa canzone è una poesia che descrive i sentimenti di dolore di un padre verso una figlia che lo lascerà per sposarsi. Una interpretazione intensa emotiva e magistrale. Ogni volta che la ascolto mi vengono i brividi. Il brano si chiama Qaraǵym-aı e ti consiglio la versione del 2020.
Exactly what I thought when I first discovered Dimash - especially when I watched him sing Love is like a Dream. How does he know how to convey the emotions of love so perfectly - despair, longing, passion, intensity - when he has never been in love (in a relationship) before? It seems inherent in Dimash and a part of his DNA. He is "all-knowing" which is part of his magic and uniqueness, i guess. ☮❤

I understand russian language, it matters. I love this song very much, though I have happy relationship. It touches my heart. And yes, it was very official scene and concert, so Dimash "hold himself in hands" as long as he could. And it's great that he couldn't do it for hold song. He's sincere in his performance and is be a great artist (that also means, that he really can feel and act as a person whose part he plays/acts.

Hi, thank you for your wonderful reaction to this great interpretation of Dimash's song. I know what I am about to share with you is not something that you experience yourself. But it is part of my cultural background. My great-grandparents were Russian nobilities, they flew from Russia to Germany, then to France, after they went to Boston and finally ended up in Montreal Canada. They were married for 78 years, they had a huge amount of souvenirs from Russia. My great-grandfather's in his wife last years look after her by himself. After she died, she was 99 years old, he sold his house and went to live with my grandparents, within a year time he was going downhill, obviously, the loss of his life partner was very hard for him. He died a few months later 10 days short of his 100 Birthday, he was happy because he would be back with his wife. All of us his descendants own beautiful souvenirs from them when they were in Russia.

Hello again. This was another great reaction. The original music video is definitely worth checking out. The video seems to be able to communicate the emotions much better. It visually tells the story. Dimash's family owns its own production company, and the cinematography of their videos rivals anything Hollywood could produce. I recommend you go back when you have the time, and for every live performance, you react to also watch the music video releases when available. I find them stunning, profoundly moving, and of above-average production value.
This song reminds me of my mother's struggle. Think of you as being a poor single mother suffering and raising a kid with lots of love, a kid being able to sing this song for you as a mother swan/ mother in my language. "LOVE OF A TIRED MOTHER" Please re-listen again to the love you had for your loving mother who had lost a husband. It takes maturity in the heart to understand.

Как этот юный молодой человек так умеет передавать чувства и переживания зрелых людей! Здесь история идет не от одного лица, здесь, как и во многих других песнях, когда Димаш переходит на фальцет, он исполняет женскую партию, и слова песни уже идут от женщины, это диалог. Не все реакционеры это различают. Думаю, что проблема в перводе на русский язык. Субтитры на английском не передают эту разницу в полах, и не понятно по субтитрам, что в песне сейчас идет диалог между ним и ней. И, конечно же, на русском эта песня звучит очень лирично, нет ни одного лишнего или лишенного смысла слова. Спасибо за искренность!

As with other songs, there are multiple versions of "Daybreak". This one is from Gloria Wu's channel and has English subtitles translated by her. When I first listen to Dimash and for some time, I thought that the love stories he sang about had something to do with him, perhaps because I had heard that a girl had broken his heart when he was younger. Но именно с этой песней на концерте Димаша у меня произошла "странная" ситуация: меня "окутали" волны любви и нежности и кажется душа улетела и попала в Рай. Красивейший вокал Димаша "запускает" душу в небеса как ракету в космос. У меня всегда слезы от божественной красоты голоса этого Великого Артиста. Мне всегда кажется, что Димаш выходит за пределы текста песен и поет о более глобальном, о проблемах планетарного масштаба и всего человечества. Sometimes I think it's hard to relate to some of the songs as the words are cultural as in refers to Swans which is not our normal thoughts in a love song . I didn't feel very moved either by this one but we all experience things differently . He is always a wonderful performer but this song seems lacking in something . Lovely reaction thank you

You see things right, as always. Absolutely true what you said about the effect depending on the state a certain listener has. You probably also love “The Winner Takes It All” by ABBA. I think you felt right not being ready for “Daybreak” yet, because in that one it is not you who put yourself in someone else shoes, it is about what really happened to somebody in real life. I feel a little sad that someone spoiled a great part of it by revealing the back story - the effect would have been at maximum if you would have learned only when watching (and listening). Either way, I am eager to see your reaction to that one too. Yes, Dimash rises from the bottom of the ocean out beyond the stratosphere and then plunges back in fraction of a second … so you’re not the only one who doesn’t understand how - I saw established musicians and famous singers rising the exact same question and finally concluding that he has to be of alien origin … I heard tens saying the same thing: “he is not human”.

Автор текста также наложил запрет и на другую песню - "Знай" (Know). Поэтому на своих сольных концертах Димаш поет "Знай" вообще без слов, что привело к созданию феноменальной версии "Know" (Vocalize) на концерте в Киеве в 2020 году. Condivido ogni cosa che hai detto. Non tutto ciò che Dimash fa deve per forza farci piangere. Questo non toglie nulla al suo talento. La musica è soggettiva. Ciò che commuove me forse non commuoverà te. Ad esempio io amo molto un brano che ha cantato e dedicato al suo mentore morto di covid. Il testo di questa canzone è una poesia che descrive i sentimenti di dolore di un padre verso una figlia che lo lascerà per sposarsi. Una interpretazione intensa emotiva e magistrale. Ogni volta che la ascolto mi vengono i brividi. Il brano si chiama Qaraǵym-aı e ti consiglio la versione del 2020.
Exactly what I thought when I first discovered Dimash - especially when I watched him sing Love is like a Dream. How does he know how to convey the emotions of love so perfectly - despair, longing, passion, intensity - when he has never been in love (in a relationship) before? It seems inherent in Dimash and a part of his DNA. He is "all-knowing" which is part of his magic and uniqueness, i guess. ☮❤

I understand russian language, it matters. I love this song very much, though I have happy relationship. It touches my heart. And yes, it was very official scene and concert, so Dimash "hold himself in hands" as long as he could. And it's great that he couldn't do it for hold song. He's sincere in his performance and is be a great artist (that also means, that he really can feel and act as a person whose part he plays/acts.

I know what I am about to share with you is not something that you experience yourself. But it is part of my cultural background. My great-grandparents were Russian nobilities, they flew from Russia to Germany, then to France, after they went to Boston and finally ended up in Montreal Canada. They were married for 78 years, they had a huge amount of souvenirs from Russia. My great-grandfather's in his wife last years look after her by himself. After she died, she was 99 years old, he sold his house and went to live with my grandparents, within a year time he was going downhill, obviously, the loss of his life partner was very hard for him. He died a few months later 10 days short of his 100 Birthday, he was happy because he would be back with his wife. All of us his descendants own beautiful souvenirs from them when they were in Russia.

I myself been gay, am not so lucky but looking back at my family history still hope in this world for other to find love in our life.

Hello again. This was another great reaction. The original music video is definitely worth checking out. The video seems to be able to communicate the emotions much better. It visually tells the story. Dimash's family owns its own production company, and the cinematography of their videos rivals anything Hollywood could produce. I recommend you go back when you have the time, and for every live performance, you react to also watch the music video releases when available. I find them stunning, profoundly moving, and of above-average production value.

This song reminds me of my mother's struggle. Think of you as being a poor single mother suffering and raising a kid with lots of love, a kid being able to sing this song for you as a mother swan/ mother in my language. "LOVE OF A TIRED MOTHER" Please re-listen again to the love you had for your loving mother who had lost a husband. It takes maturity in the heart to understand.

You should really watch the official video of this song, there is a story there and it's much more personal seeming. Also it is just unique, artistic and gorgeous! The video sold me on the song in this case (of course Dimash's voice is stunning, but somehow in this rare instance the video was my favorite version ).
