Love these videos, remember F Troop, the Big Valley, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Emergency (reminded me much of my Uncle that was a fireman in GA), ADAM-12, Startrek, Lucy, bewitched, Get Smart, lots of the others we may not have got the channel, played after my bed time, or parents did not watch. We only had a small B&W till I was in 6th grade.
Fred you have always been the man I never thought asking about the voice overs I would get all these, if it wasn't for you Fred we wouldn't be able to see all these awesome heartwarming memories please keep up the awesome work 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽💯
In the early 1970s i used to watch NYPD and all these other shows in channel 29 WUTV UHF station in Buffalo NY i loved that station thank you for uploading i have not seen this since i was a kid
Let’s play name that voice-over actor / narrator: 0:28 Vic Perrin 1:26 Gary Owens 2:26 Joe Sirola 5:40 Harold Gould 9:54 Michael Rennie 10:15 William Schallert 12:26 Paul Frees 12:52 Michael Rennie (again?) 14:17 Hank Simms (“A Quinn Martin production”) 14:40 Gary Owens again 15:36 somebody get this one
Definitely also not Michael Rennie at 12:52. I think it's Don Messick, who did many, many voices for Hanna-Barbera cartoons, including Johnny Quest. He was very versatile, performing Scooby-Doo (Astro, Muttley similar), Dr. Quest, Speed Buggy, Gloop, Klunk and many others.
Don’t think it’s Messick. If you want to hear “pure” Messick voice, check this link, where he talks in his normal voice at around 0:07. They don’t seem to match. ua-cam.com/video/hF3QZDzJ_II/v-deo.html @@SDK-im8sl
The only soap opera I watched when it first came out in mid 1960s when I was in junior high school was Another World because there was nothing about 3pm on tv. The only thing I remember was Missy, and laterTony was shot.
The scariest show I saw as a kid was an episode of The Outer Limits with insect-like aliens called Zantis. Thanks for these videos and my trips down memory lane!
Bridget Loves Bernie only lasted less than one season. It starred David Birney and his then-real life wife, Meredith Baxter-Birney, later of Family, and Family Ties. Also David Doyle, later of Charlie's Angels. It was heavy duty ethnic comedy, poking the fun at NYC wealthy WASPs and NYC working class Jews. It didn't go over too well. // Thanks, FredFlix, for these wonderful compilations.
Was that Dick Tufeld announcing for "The Wild Wild West?" Because it sure sounds like him. FYI, that episode of "That Girl" was "Phantom of the Horse Opera," which had Sterling "Winnie the Pooh" Holloway as a guest star.
*The Outer Limits* .. a series whose revival lasted four times longer than its original version. Also.. you know this is from the 1960s-1970s with a movie like *Three's A Crowd* making light of bigamy.
Oh wow, so THAT'S Gale Gordon! All I'd heard about him is that Lucille Ball said she wished he'd have played Fred Mertz instead of William Frawley because Gordon was a genuinely kind and wonderful man and she loved working with him. Ah, I'm getting quite the education here! Also, check out that killer lineup on CBS on Saturday nights! Damn, you kinda get the impression none of the other networks need have bothered airing anything but B-movies and reruns on that night!
5:05 Back when Sergio Mendes did guest appearances on American TV. :) 8:20 Roger C. Carmel, not playing Harcourt Fenton Mudd. :) 21:58 An out-of-breath Dinah Shore signs off, and a great sponsor for that episode, too: Sperry & Hutchinson, purveyors of the much-coveted S&H Green Stamps.
As for that Sanka Coffee plug on The Twilight Zone, wonder if those man-eating Kanamits had coffee with their human entrees? Fun Fact: Dudley "Big Tiny" LIttle (1930-2010) was a regular performer on the Lawrence Welk show back in the 50's.
Picture if you will, a personal hygiene product intended to keep babies dry between changes that will be found to be loaded with carcinogens some 50 years later! (that's an irony Serling wouldn't have gone near!)
General Foods {Sanka} and Kimberly-Clark {Kleenex, Delsey, et. al.} were the show's alternate sponsors during the first season. However, the man in charge of running Kimberly-Clark was frustrated at the "weird" stories Serling and his fellow writers were coming up with- and decided it wasn't worth the trouble to sustain the series after season one, ending his sponsorship in the summer of 1960 [he preferred to sponsor more "traditional" shows, like Steve McQueen's "WANTED- DEAD OR ALIVE"]. Colgate-Palmolive replaced K-C as the alternate sponsor in the fall.

I appreciate that, Janice.
And on NBC at 8: pm there's excitement as we ride with the men of station 51 on the show Emergency! On Saturday in the 70's.

Loved the Wild Wild West! Gun smoke too!
Love and remember the great ingenious peacock color logo of NBC. Brought to you "In living color".
well Fred you did it again-another GREAT job, keep it up!! I love your videos-they bring back so many good memories!
Glad to be of service, Mr. Trek.
THANK YOU!
You're welcome.
"A sweeping panorama of entertainment..."
I love these compilations, they bring back old memories and, open up a world i missed growing up! Thanks FREDFLIX!!
You're welcome. Stay "tuned" to this channel for much more.
"Zorro" starred Guy Williams of "Lost In Space" fame.
The only soap opera I watched when it first came out in mid 1960s when I was in junior high school was Another World because there was nothing about 3pm on tv. The only thing I remember was Missy, and laterTony was shot.
TV was just better back then. Less was more. we only had three channels but it was quality over quantity.
The scariest show I saw as a kid was an episode of The Outer Limits with insect-like aliens called Zantis.
Thanks for these videos and my trips down memory lane!
Glad to do it, Becky.
The one that scared me to death (seeing it in reruns as a kid) was "The Man with the Power".
Becky B yeah the zantis episode freaked me out to as a kid.
One of the most famous and best episodes of Outer Limits with McCollum future to be Ilya Kuriakin of Man from Uncle!
I remember "Gunsmoke " on Sundays.
Here's Lucy: Harrison Otis was also the name of the founder of the Los Angeles Times
Little Angela Cartwright before "Lost in Space ". (Veronica is her sister )
"Gunsmoke " & "Bonanza " were the only 2 Westerns I remember.
13:17- As seen on "THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN" in 1955 (Charlie Lyon, announcer).
Where do u find these great clips-,,?
The only one I don't remember is "Bridget Loves Bernie ", I watched "All in The Family, "MTM ", The Bob Newhart Show ", & "Mission Impossible ".
Bridget Loves Bernie periodically shows up on Decades TV.
Why were we kids watching all those. shows like the Outer Limits and Twilight Zone.
They are tame now but to little kids back then we had nightmares.
I miss Frank Drebbin.....

This is when the TV shows were sponsored & the shows promoted the products.
Can you imagine "Big Bang Theory " promoting a product the way shows did back then?

Desi and Lucy almost fired William Frawley from I Love Lucy because of his drinking.
Bring back s&h green stamps!
Wholly Cow! Do my ears deceive me... or was that Michael Rennie at 9:54???
That’s what I thought at first, but after some discussion with other commentators, we think it’s more likely Michael Rye.
5:05 Back when Sergio Mendes did guest appearances on American TV. :)

I grew up watching "Here's Lucy ".
I remember "S &H" green stamps.
I think "Here Comes The Brides " was based on the movie "7 Brides for 7 Brothers ".
It was.

The Twilight Zone is 10,000 times better than Outer Limits. Perhaps 35% of Outer Limits episides are good whereas 85% of Twilight Zone are great.
