  • Google publicly released it's new HCT color system than changes the way we look at colors and color science. Color theory was earlier based on technical presets, now it's more about the feeling and emotion when looking at something.

A very insightful video. Thank you, Punit for pointing out these latest developments. Definitely something worth considering in design going forward. I was particularly interested in the part related to loading images over slow internet to display "just enough" detail for something to be understood. I can see another application of that for devices that are equipped with limited LCD screens (ranging from medical equipment to electronic toys to ebook readers) which need to show some detail, but perhaps not as much as an expensive smartphone is capable of. If a high-res image can be "converted" to an optimized HCT version, then it will be an effective way of conveying information on lower resolution screens but still accurately enough without the need for super retina screens and millions of colours.

Hello Sir! I am learning figma so I am pretty new to how things work. I am trying to create an app and I am starting with the homepage. I downloaded a free UI kit to make my life easier, but I don’t know how to import these files to my current project. Basically I want to find the UI kit in my assets page or as components in my main project. I hope I am clear
