Fantastic work Gil. Excellent video and with some great tips and tricks. Kudos to the Emblaser team for bringing you on board to do these technical related videos. Cheers, Aaron
DCTSolutionsAU Thank you Aaron! I love these kind of project and look forward to sharing other points of interest with lasers and a whole bunch of other equipment and Maker projects! Lee watching and I’ll keep making.
I have the Emblaser 2 and love it; however, ideally a combination of the two would be fantastic i.e. enclosed but with the gaps at the base to feed larger projects through.
9:15 How laser carriage was not moving? my status is different..I'm so disappointment..my laser carriage is moving(left to right) when long rail go to top. what happen..? (I assembling now)
jin yu Best way to get your problem is to touch base with Darkly Lab. darklylabs.com They will be able to work through the issue with you. I’m sure it will be a very quick fix.
I’m really interested in purchasing this laser but your video is the only one I can find. I’m going back & for with this laser & the ortur 2. I’m needing to cut 3mm plywood for my work. It would be fantastic if you could provide us with another example of the emblaser core cutting more materials like 3mm plywood. Thanks
If you search for Emblaser 2 videos on UA-cam, it uses the same diode laser system as the core. Meaning that you can get the same results with the core without the safety elements of the E2. I do have some projects lined up to share in the near future, but may I direct you to the Laser Livestreams for more content on the Emblaser range.
Hi, Gil. Relly like your introdtion video about Core. Actually I am interested to buy one. But I cant find the discount code which you said in your video, can you re share that code again to me? thx a lot
@@LaserLivestream find it after recheck it again, actauly, it is blocked by the subtitles, when I turn it off, it shows up. thx a lot for the great saving. :)
@@LaserLivestream I'm thinking of applications were material is to big or in a fix position. Like a large round table that you can engrave a design on. With all safety precautions etc.
@@kiayakendall4010 The issue is that a diode laser uses a different wavelength on the light spectrum than a CO2 laser. To learn more, check out this link. ua-cam.com/video/2DnGZ27n9NY/v-deo.html
Kiaya Kendall Yes for acrylic that has a solid colour. No for clear or translucent material. Check out the link above to understand the science behind why a diode laser won’t cut the same as a CO2 laser.

I love what the Emblaser Core can offer. It has flexibility but at the cost of the safety margins!
Awesome! 🙌🏻 Great video Gil, laser machines are so cool! Never used one myself but I’d love to have a go.
Thank you Kirstie. Feel free to come over and I’ll introduce you to the world of creating with light!
Would this build be doable for a complete newbie? Does it cut latex?

Thank you for your reply. That would be great thank you.
nice little machine. Just looking on their site, whats the promo code please Gil?
Check towards the end of the video ;)
@@LaserLivestream Where is th ecode? I did nt see it
LetItRaynne please see the answer above. Thanks
@@LaserLivestream Unfortunately the code has expired. Do you know if there is any chance for a new one?
@@scottmarshall5755 The office is closed right now but I will send a message and see if they can reactivate it :)
Thanks for making this review. I am curious how this machine handle thin metal cut (saying 0.3mm up to 1mm aluminium sheet). Many thanks
You need a very high powered laser or a water jet/plasma for metal. A laser would just refract from the metal surface.

@@tedsun2736 Thats a great tip for people looking for the code. Thank you and let us know how you use your Emblaser Core!
Can you leave the heavy base off and engrave direct to surface?
You don't need to as you can slide material through the front and back.

@@cagneydorosch723 I believe that in that case you can remove the base. It was one of the last steps in constructing the core!
Does this machine engrave also?
Does everything a laser cutter/engraver does
says cannot etch or engrave clear acrylic, why is that?

When Gil keeps referring to "the normal emblaser" does he mean the emblaser 2????
Nathaniel I believe he is talking about the standard Emblaser range (Emblaser, Emblaser 2)
Can it cut three mil acrylic?
Kiaya Kendall as long as it’s not transparent or clear, people have successfully cut 3mm acrylic on the Core and Emblaser 2.
Gil Poznanski Thankyou damn was hoping it could 😌
Gil Poznanski if you went over it with multiple passes would it cut through?

Good video, code does not work though...
The number of ads in this video make it virtually unwatchable. Tip: If you’re making a video to promote a product you sell, don’t monetise it!!!
dont be cheap just pay for the dang add free videos sheesh!
