I like how he mentions his height. Helps us big guys get an idea if the bike is going to fit us or not. I'm 6'3" and I just sat on a Z800 yesterday and it was very comfortable. I think I might make the switch from my ZX6R...
Rode my cousins 2015 Z800 over the weekend, absolutely loved it, Now Kawasaki have brought out out the Z900, I'm going to test ride that. And if that feels just as good, I'm definitely going to buy either one of them.
I have ridden the bike and it feels unbelievable. The handling, the position and torque are perfect. I had one without any front windshield and what a surprise that was, even on a highway at 130 km/h + I did not felt any strong winds, great design! The only thing that bothered me was the bikes foot, or stick (what ever you call it). Its really annoying when you can`t reach it with your boots. I had problems every time I stopped. Overall a really good bike, 9/10
Great review! Not a huge fan of the current design language Kawasaki is going with, but good on em for being different. Unfortunately, i could never break up with my street triple!
I've owned one for 4 months now, and it is a great bike. I wouldn't change it for the slightly more expensive Yamaha MT-09. This bike has great looks great handling and for the price you won't get a better deal IMHO.
Ilias Joels That's the great thing, you don't feel the heaviness when riding, it feels light and planted. I'm only 15 kilos more than you. Height's not too bad for me but I'm over 6 feet tall.
Very nice bike, i love the aggressive look. When buying my bike I was deciding between the z800 and the Speed Triple. Engine wise they are both very good so for me it came down to looks and quality at the end. I bought the Triumph because the Kawasaki has too much plastic that make it feel "cheap", especially the bits of plastic on the tank....terrible, they should have made a better job considering that the tank is the part of the bike that will get most looks.
Got a z800 abs version, cause they only import these over here in belgium. I did adjust the rear shock a bit, put it a bit softer cause on less smooth tarmac its a bit too hard
It was between the Street triple R and this for me, And The strret R won :) . The seat on the Z800 feels basically like sitting on plasticand did not like that, and couldn't justify the Massive weight difference! I really like the styling on the Z800 But would only have it as a second choice over the Street R, And wouldn't like it as an everyday bike. Love the rear Z Light though!
It sounds like you said the GSR was a superior bike to this? Then when on to say the z800 surpasses Japanese rivals.... or did I miss understand? I really don't like the looks of the bike, but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder =)
well the cbr600rr is a totally different bike to the z800. cbr is focused more on performance and handling, the z800 is more of a daily commuter bike. if you want a kawasaki that you can compare to the cbr600rr check out the ninja 636.
+Mark Lim Because not all of us think we can ride better than Rossi, not all of us are fuckwitts that push their stupid views onto everyone else. Yeah I think I know what he means ;)
Now that's an opponent I'd like to race with. Too bad people here in my country would get the z800 and ride like it's was made for sharp corner and get em self kill... That's why the agressive comment I made.
Z1000 is much better, same weight and more grunt and it looks better, this bike just seems like a waste of time it doesnt do anything better than its bigger brother
+Sam Grattan no difference here, and lets be honest....when someone asks why you bought a bike are seriously going to say 'because it was cheaper to insure' i think not...

anyone knows the length in metric? Too lazy to look it up on the Phone :p

The Z900's a great bike, you'll have fun.
The Z 800 is the Megatron decendant himself.....looks so Megatron face 😀

Competition to the Yamaha FZ09 I suppose. When is this bike coming to the US?
Great review! Not a huge fan of the current design language Kawasaki is going with, but good on em for being different. Unfortunately, i could never break up with my street triple!

How is the heaviness? Is the bike easy to hold? How high is the bike? Cause i am only 1m68 and i weight 60kg.

There are old guys out there riding massive Goldwings! Harden up.

This made me go buy one! Great review!

This review makes me want to have this bike more!
i wonder, does the z800 comes with slippery clutch? like zx636 or ninja300 :D

yeah... I've noted that down already : ) Anyhow could you do review on them on corner and safety brake?
Good review.. and great bike.. apart from the fact that this is available in my country, and the speed triple is not!!
get to tried em... good rev, aspect are like stunt bike. small hide perfect for city also.

Can u tell me which Shark helmet ur using?
Hi, Luke's wearing a Race-R PRO Carbon.
nice review Luciano, but bikes now are starting to look a little bit like a kids Transformer!...good thing?...not sure..
Asphalt 8 Airborne:
The Kawasaki Z800 Was Added In Munich Update As a Low Class D Motorcycle
Thats a supersport bike - this is a naked - cnt really compare - the ZX636R is the rival to the cbr600rr!
I love that you guys are a bit cheeky in the comments:)
My next bike. Currently on Ninja 250 Fi (Indonesia) :D
Why does it really look like a Bajaj Pulsar obscenely scaled up?
Did he say the suzuki gsr750 was a far bette bike?

But this Bike hasn't got ABS option in UK
Why do you need ABS?
+Mark Lim Because not all of us think we can ride better than Rossi, not all of us are fuckwitts that push their stupid views onto everyone else. Yeah I think I know what he means ;)
MotoLexy&SupaNautica Why do I need to ride better than Rossi on the public street?...?
Quote @ 4:44
"GSR750 which is by far a superior bike"
Hmmmm...I think so too
Kawasaki should make the new z1000 look more like this.
Now that's an opponent I'd like to race with. Too bad people here in my country would get the z800 and ride like it's was made for sharp corner and get em self kill... That's why the agressive comment I made.
A sexy bike with ya grandma sitting on the back though, it's that heavy! I've I'd the cash I'd update my STR for a 2013 one :)
looks a bit small? (tiny)
it is not tiny ahah when you see it in person you'll be surprised.
Pretty bike and nice specs but it doesn't stand a chance against the new MT-09. Worse in every aspect, including the price.
It's a sexy sexy bike indeed. And I've got a Street Triple.
the "music" kills the review
I watch this to get info about the bike , i dont care about music
Music, please!!
wish he talked slowly when he gives review.
Great bike! Be nice if they bring it Stateside. :-]
and no, z800 does tight corners faster.
Eh?
Cbr600rr will win in both looking good and speed performance. Z800 is just a fake trying to be cool
Z1000 is much better, same weight and more grunt and it looks better, this bike just seems like a waste of time it doesnt do anything better than its bigger brother
But the Z 800 e version is probably the best bike for A2 licens holders.
it'll be a lot cheaper to insure
+Sam Grattan no difference here, and lets be honest....when someone asks why you bought a bike are seriously going to say 'because it was cheaper to insure' i think not...
+D1jz30 But as a 21 year old I am, even after 3 years riding I cant afford to get insured on a 1000cc bike.
Two different classes, dosnt compare. Try again
What a CARTOONISH and CHEAP looking bike! I miss the great looking motorcycles of yesteryear...
slow down - you talk too fast
yeah... I've noted that down already : ) Anyhow could you do review on them on corner and safety brake?
