The attitude of most emergency workers is they have the right-of-way no matter which way they go (you're supposed to stop whenever they're around you), so no need for turn indicators. Of course, in busy traffic, some indication might be helpful, so you at least know which way to go to get out of their way.

1:25, this is the time where they could have lost a critical minute in traffic while getting to the shout or call out because people are clueless have have no clue where to go, yesterday on the M56 I saw a North Wales engine responding and everyone except one car moved to their closest side if the road making a textbook path for the fire engine to get past, the one “imperfect car” went in-front of us and then pulled to the side, I dont think it matters if your blocking an exit on a motorway, just move so that the crew can get past!
Okay, someone please explain the "Urban Search and Rescue" vehicle (at 10:45), the "Targeted Response Vehicle" (at 14:57), and the "Operational Support Unit" vehicle (at 15:53). What are their purposes? And what are all those black unmarked sedans running around (at 15:21 and elsewhere)? Strange assortment of vehicles.
USAR is basically a specialised rescue unit, I myself have never heard of a TRV and the OSU like a Control Unit and the unmarked cars are Officer Vehicles which personally too me are useless

Hi, would there be a reason other than , 'They are not on correctly' that the Staffordshire F&R unit leaving Hanley Fire Station, has it's ladder hanging over the back of the truck by so much, on all the other trucks the ladders are contained almost entirely within the body of the truck. it looks to be close on a metre

That's the water overflow system, designed to relieve pressure from the onboard water tanks. If you look closely, the second truck did it too. Both trucks had obviously just been refilled recently .
@Flaming Croc Gaming, it's not a USAR vehicle, it's a MDU (Mass Decontamination Unit) used during big hazmat jobs when firefighters need to be decontaminted in hazmat suits

I think it originated from an old Denis fire truck
It was put on all emergency vehicles in the 80s, but were still used in the 90s and early 2000s. Most of them are muted but some are still used.
