Cheers Rob, as daft as it sounds I was always curious on where to place the elastic ie at the reel between 1st ring etc. But ill use it at the end of the rod, that video has helped me out :)

I suppose you could do that, but anyone serious about their fishing buys one spool per rod, and for safety's sake, you really should replace it once a month. Ideally, different colours for different weather conditions. Does it definitely make a difference? I'm not sure, but what if you lose that once in a lifetime fish, because you skimped on marker elastic?😉

Perhaps not 11 inch wasted, but surely you don’t need to use aFoot for each knot!

I find six - eight inch is fine and prefer electricians tape stays put an less bulky.

Surely distance sticks and wraps has stopped the use or need for this now? Saying it saves you time wot 30 seconds to run them around your sticks come on ffs
