In the late 1950's when my bagan granny made the coo coo ,she didnt use ,carrots ( optional) ,but always had, stew flying fish anf she rolled the coo ,into balls .....but no carrots for me......

Natasha...your videos have been a great help during this covid lockdown. My Mom asked me to tell you good job. My question is how do i know the cornmeal is properly cooked. Mommy says when it looking glassy....Please advise.
Is corn meal same as corn flour???
I would exclude the carrots all else looks good.
Great! Do you have a paime recipe that you can show?
Do I have to use the milk or can I use plain water alone
The milk adds creaminess. But yes you can use water or chicken stock.
hi Natasha could I use coconut milk in the pack instead of the tin one
Karishma Morrison sure
Trini Cooking with Natasha ok thanks
Can u use ordinary butter instead of golden ray

this exactly the way i make mine, but there is grated pumpkin in my recipe. 👍
Camille Joseph pumpkin is a good addition I'll put that next time I make it.
@@TriniCookingwithNatasha how much grated pumpkin would you recommend?
@@naty1012 1/2 cup to 1 cup and once it starts to come together after 15 mins and it comes together it's cooked.
How would you know when the cornmeal is cooked?
Love how silver your pot is! I've seen your video on how to keep your pots silver and shiny!

Things get serious when you break out the golden ray!
Ani J 😩🤣for real eh🤣🤣
No curry with coco fish or kalloo
My mother made this when I was a child for special occasions. I didn't eat it but it brings back fond memories.
Cornmeal Cooks in 8 minutes? Thought u need atleast 20 min
I would double the water to coconut milk used and put on medium heat takes about 25-30minutes to cook
Cornmeal needed more time to be cooked properly
How do you know when the cornmeal is cook?
I add the cornmeal a little at a time instead of dumping the entire thing into the pot. I also add a littke butter at the end to help with the smoothness.
you're the best gonna make this tomorrow please do a paime recipe thank you
i will just give me some time.
I prefer your other video where you soaked the cornmeal in water, and used butter instead of golden ray butter.
Love this thank you
