  • 12 oz corn meal or 1 1/2 cups
    1/2 cup shredded carrot
    hot pepper chopped
    pimento pepper chopped
    1 tsp minced garlic
    2 tbsp. golden ray
    1 tsp veg oil
    2 scallions chopped
    6-8 ochro finely chopped
    1 small onion finely chopped
    1 tin of coconut milk
    1 1/2 cups of water
    Salt to taste

    Tasha next time if you don't want the corneal to get lumpy you can mixed it with water before you add it! Best coo coo ever! Thanks for videos!!

    In the late 1950's when my bagan granny made the coo coo ,she didnt use ,carrots ( optional) ,but always had, stew flying fish anf she rolled the coo ,into balls .....but no carrots for me......

    this exactly the way i make mine,but there is grated pumpkin in my recipe. 👍

      @@naty1012 1/2 cup to 1 cup and once it starts to come together after 15 mins and it comes together it's cooked.

      I would double the water to coconut milk used and put on medium heat takes about 25-30minutes to cook

    I add the cornmeal a little at a time instead of dumping the entire thing into the pot. I also add a littke butter at the end to help with the smoothness.

    I prefer your other video where you soaked the cornmeal in water, and used butter instead of golden ray butter.

    I see my grandmom making this all the time... And I never had any.... So I have decide to try this recipe and see what's the end result for the first time... Hope I get it right.... 🇹🇹

    Can coo coo be baked I made some and it was soggy on the bottom probably because I add too much liquid

      Hi Ester, yes you can bake it to remove that liquid , keep your eye on it as you won't want it to burn. 400 deg f.
