Brock, if you pause the video at 2:39, there is a capped off bung just to the right of the strap on the headers. Is that bung for the stock 02 Sensor? Where is the 18mm bung located for wideband?
The 18mm bug is located in the elbow pipe before the muffler and after the secondary collector to reduce flow obstructions caused by adding the sensor.

Hi brock I got the full alien head 2 exhaust (black) on my 2018 zx14r. Can I just buy the slip on penta carbon or I would need the full system? Because it sounds amazing and look so gorgeous.
Brocks do some awesome shit. Purchased an all titanium exhaust 4-2-1 for my 2015 street Busa as an upgrade from another brand. Expensive, yes. In my opinion now knowing what to expect, I’d do it again. It’s a different bike now. Cheers guys 👌👌

Do you think you would be able to do a swap with this exhaust and the CT 16" exhaust with the same headers on an 18 GSXR 1000? I think is would be pretty cool to go from sporty and not so loud with the CT to race weekend with the penta-carbon and revert back without having to change the headers and maintain the light titanium headers with the CT system. Because I would like to purchase titanium headers with a CT 16 muffler and penta carbon muffler.
@Brennen, the ultra-light stainless construction of the full system Penta-Carbon makes it only about 1 lb. heavier than the CT full Ti system. The Penta also has an optional hidden/easily removable dB killer. The Penta's and CT's are completely different systems, so muffler swapping is not possible. Great exhaust system! Can I install this system on my 2011 Kawasaki Concours 14? If not, what would you recommend? I don't plan on hitting no track. I want ppl to hear me coming with a little more performance. Full or slip-on Penta?
I've a feeling, Kawasaki is going to bring the new Euro 5 ZX10R, which will be entirely new, even more powerful. And if this makes about 210hp, i have serious belief that the new one will make 220 😲
There's limits. You can theoretically get 300 hp from 1L if you run ridiculous RPM and have the heads to flow that. But the engine stroke would be tiny, the engine would produce minimal torque, the powerband would be very short and peaky, and the valvetrain would be exotic. At a certain point one has to consider, fat midrange torque is just more fun to feel than 15,000 rpm horsepower.
To be precise, Newer and Modern release bikes are going down in performance instead of going up. Euro 5 probably all bikes will reduce performance significantly based on my research VS Old bikes.

What exhaust sounds deeper (more throaty), this Penta-carbon or the Predator (with or without the baffle). I like the look of the Predator more but I also like deep exhaust note.
They are very similar, but the Penta-Carbon has a slightly deeper tone ...and a '"bark" when you rap the gas. The Penta-Carbon is now my favorite sounding exhaust.

How do you allow for high air intake at high speed where most superbikes get there extra bhp when your on rollers with very little air input.At 150+mph massive amounts of air go into the air box how do you get that.

I had a 2018 Z900. It was pretty flawless in throttle control and feel. I'm pretty sensitive to engine characteristics. But perhaps they've made a change in the following year. No doubt running lean, hot, and restricted like most new stuff.

Hey Brock, I just ordered the pair block off plates and a f185 air filter for my zx10, do you think this would require a re tune ? I ordered the penta carbon but it’s in backorder, wonder if I should just wait till then and do one tune, or is it ok to put that stuff on without to much worry
Maybe I should give you a little more info. I meant re-tune . My bikes already been on the dyno and had a Ecu flash to accommodate for the slip on and cat delete . ( why it’s getting the pops and I wanted the PAIR plates )
@chris - For maximum performance/drivability, a retune would be suggested with the Penta as the partial throttle mapping is considerably different than the slip-on.

I use to run a 2016 winter edition with a 3/4 Arrow pro race titanium exhaust i also had the ecu flashed but my god it had such a rough idle........still loved the bike though 👍🏻adam 🇬🇧
238 crank hp by my 12% loss estimates. Not bad at all. In an unrelated note, Brock... do you have any idea if Guhl would be able to de-restrict a 2020 Ninja 1000SX sport tourer? A couple years ago you had someone in the shop with a Z1000 that runs the 1,043cc engine. Fast forward, the Ninja1000SX (global name now) is the faired touring version and they've changed over to throttle by wire and run the whole suite of TC, QS up/down, Modes, IMU, Cruise control, TFT screen, etc. My guess is they have either expanded parameters in the former ECU, or gone with an entirely unique and updated ECU to run those systems. Any preliminary thoughts on this in general? I don't own the bike but I've become interested in the 2020 updates for a possible buy this year. I know it's badly restricted. Ivan's Performance has uncorked 15 hp from the last version but there's some mild engine/cam/tuning changes in the 2020 model.

@@Migycrz they are all basically the same, except the BMW has a completely different ECU theory which will not allow some areas to be derestricted or retuned - this is a problem for DRAG racing.

Actually sounds usable at lower RPMs, not outrageously loud when trundling through neighborhoods , but plenty wicked at higher speeds.

You will only need to purchase the new Penta muffler.

Unfortunately, the same mods are not available for the S1000RR due to the OEM ECU configuration :(

SO to fix the idle surge you guys really raised the Idle to almost 2000rpm? Thats kind high aint it?
That's part of the fix. And no on it being high. The bike revs to 14k. It would be high for older bikes.

Are bikes only able to achieve over 200 horsepower with mr12 race fuel or can it be achieved with pump gas?
Normally aspirated, mostly yes. The supercharged bikes can break 200 easily on pump when properly tuned, no problem.
Also how much extra power do you get from mr12 over normal pump gas??
It depends on the bike, but as a general rule, we expect to gain around 7 RWHP.

@Brock Davidson Did you have to change out the oil cooler when you put the full exhaust system on this bike because I'm having a problem getting mine on it's hitting the oil cooler holes
You have to change the cooler if you try to put a Gen 5 system on a Gen 6. Our Gen 6 specific bolts up with no mods required.

First time watching any of your vids and I just bought my first bike. Ninja 650 ABs model. Showed 207 hp on the chart, how much was it stock before the exhaust? And is there a powerloss percentage like with cars?

The Moore Mafia ZX10R is a '17 not a '19... The '19 makes more power. Climate conditions and etc come into play as well.

My bandit 1250 hunts during idle after yoshi cams and je pistons were installed. Any idea why?
Bigger cams lower the intake velocity at lower rpms - this can cause cam 'lope'...it sounds cool and we embrace it :)

I use to run a 2016 winter edition with a 3/4 Arrow pro race titanium exhaust i also had the ecu flashed but my god it had such a rough idle........still loved the bike though 👍🏻adam 🇬🇧

In an unrelated note, Brock... do you have any idea if Guhl would be able to de-restrict a 2020 Ninja 1000SX sport tourer? A couple years ago you had someone in the shop with a Z1000 that runs the 1,043cc engine. Fast forward, the Ninja1000SX (global name now) is the faired touring version and they've changed over to throttle by wire and run the whole suite of TC, QS up/down, Modes, IMU, Cruise control, TFT screen, etc. My guess is they have either expanded parameters in the former ECU, or gone with an entirely unique and updated ECU to run those systems. Any preliminary thoughts on this in general? I don't own the bike but I've become interested in the 2020 updates for a possible buy this year. I know it's badly restricted. Ivan's Performance has uncorked 15 hp from the last version but there's some mild engine/cam/tuning changes in the 2020 model.

I know you have the gsxr 1000 but I would like to ask you a question since you have tons of experience and you have tuned some of the bikes I like... for a street sometimes track bike if you had to choose between gsxr1000, zx10r and s1000rr which one in your opinion would you consider to be the best option?
@@Migycrz they are all basically the same, except the BMW has a completely different ECU theory which will not allow some areas to be derestricted or retuned - this is a problem for DRAG racing.
