The fact that the Indominus not only killed for sport but also faked claw marks and the Indoraptor faked being asleep and also distracted Wheatly, and understood how tranq darts worked, not to mention the Indominus was aware of what a tracking device does. I'm buying it, I don't believe even great apes can do these. Human sapience in the Indominus and Indoraptor heavily imply that that they are this intelligent. It's not just the intelligence but the cognition and knowledge, the Indominus and Indoraptor both demonstrated moments where they learned and understood how human technology works, that's terrifyingly dangerous. I'm convinced that both have large brains to body ratios, they don't know everything about human technology but have the ability to learn about them. In a few million years I'm sure they would understand philosophy and math. I don't understand why people think it's bad, I assume they thing it's badly written? But sapient and highly intelligent uplifted animals are used all the damn time in fiction. In real life animals are more intelligent than we give them credit for, so I won't deny that fictional ones like the Indominus can apply knowledge to a greater degree.

Just pointing out that she didn't kill for sport but out of mercy and hatred, this has been made very clear multiple times. The statement of her killing for sport is just a guess by Chris Pratt's character but he was incorrect. She kills humans indiscriminately and in the worst ways she can making them suffer. Meanwhile she is as gentle and fast as she can be when killing dinosaurs going for the neck and trying to kill instantly. When she meets dinosaurs, she attempts to communicate with them and if she can communicate, she will ask or tell them to help her in her quest to kill all humans and end what she sees as suffering by their hands.

I remember the panic and disbelief when the cancelled JP4 leaked, people were absolutely furious anyone would ever consider putting human/primate DNA into dinosaurs, it was kind of funny actually. As for the human DNA theory, I actually have always liked it. I think Wu was testing mixing human DNA in the Indominus Rex, hence the opposable thumb and higher intelligence, but I think he upped the amount of human DNA in the Indoraptor because he was way more intelligent. He seemed fascinated with Maisie to the point of obsession and I think that means he recognized something in her scent that was similar to his maybe? I don't know, but every time I watch the film I just get the feeling that he and Maisie are connected way more than just being created creatures/clones.

@@ryleymiller2940 High intelligence is not a uniquely human characteristic. Hunting for "sport" happens in American households all the time. Cats will chase mice despite having a full stomach because they're trying to see what they're capable of. It's mental stimulation that provides plenty of dopamine when they're successful. The evolutionary reason for it would probably be that finding hunting fun gives them more reason to practice and get better at it, which provides them with more practice and therefore more skill in an area that's so important to them. We don't know what's going on in the indo's head, but there's no way we can know for sure it was complex thought. Why did it stop when it saw the kids in the gyrosphere? Because they were in a weird glass ball and it was curious and confused, so it looked at them and contemplated it it could take them on, which it decided it could. Nothing that it did I would describe as "hesitation," but rather judging it's own abilities and learning about the world around it, which all macro scale animals do.

The thing is, the Indominus Rex is borderline magical in its understanding of the world around it. The tracking chip was likely put in while it was sedated. So, how did it know something was placed into it when under sedation? The point of sedation is you don't remember what happens to you while you are under if the anesthesia is done appropriately. Even if you say it knew something was there because it could feel it or it remembered the procedure, or the wound from the chip tipped it off, there was no way for it to know what it was for. Even with human intelligence, if someone doesn't tell you what a tracker is for and how it works when you have never seen one before and have no way to know what it is you aren't just going to figure it out on your own. At best, you will know there is something put in your skin that isnt part of you. This means it would have removed it right away and not waited for the right narrative moment when it was out of its enclosure to remove it. The same is also true about controlling its heat signature. How would the animal know that the humans were using infrared? No one told the animal this. It doesn't speak English. This is magical levels of intelligence. It somehow seems to have the ability to know things that it would have no way of knowing.
This also doesn't account for the fact that the Indominus is invincible until the plot needs it not to be. It takes an ankylosaurus tail club to the face, somehow survives fighting multiple sauropods that are many times its weight, survives gun fire, has a rocket explode in close proximity to its leg which should have burnt the hell out of it, fights a T rex, fights multiple raptors. Like this amount of damage happening to one animal within a short time frame is ridiculous. Fatigue should have set in unless you're saying it has some super regeneration. The Indominus was nothing more than a kaiju. It was entertaining to watch, but it was ridiculous in its execution on screen.

I feel like this would be the plot of a horror film. Enter Isla Sorna, revamped for jurassic world, after the events of JP 2-3, they up security and make the dinos more intelligent, just to control them better, tell a dog to do something, is may resist, but tell a kid, and they may ask questions first, but, they will eventually obey, but how to get that intelligence? Apes, the smartest being on earth (besides humans), Ingen follows through, and their intelligence is unrivaled for any dinosaur, far smarter than the raptors, but, the US military deems them not smart enough, they need more,
Dr. Wu: hello General, have you seen the prototypes in action?
General of US military: I have.
    Wu: and?
General: they're all right, but we need something stronger, faster, more intelligent.
Wu: sir the other two we can deal with, but smarter? We used apes, what else?
General: I have an idea, we have too many on death row.
    Wu: you're not suggesting?
General: yes, I expect to see prototypes in the by December, I will send some inmates to you ASAP.
    Call ended....

I personally loveeee the idea of human/dino hybrids. Some say that the sort of thing belongs in monster movies but like, that’s kind of what JP and JW movies are. Wu said it himself, if they wanted accuracy the dinosaurs would look and act a lot different. In the end the dinosaurs in the franchise are more of monsters than anything that resembles reality. Making human hybrids would push that notion to the extreme and I kinda like the idea that some humans, the humans that make these abominations, are more of monsters for even toying with the idea than what the creatures are. They didn’t have a choice to live, humans made that choice and now the humans gotta live with the fact that there are human hybrids.

Another possibility is that Wu made another hybrid with the specific objective of creating a highly intelligent dinosaur without Raptor DNA. The hybrid ended up being hyperintelligent but lacked any form of predatorial instincts and aggression. So it was deemed a failure, fast forward to I-Rex and Indoraptor project Wu needed something that didn't exist but wait it actually did exist. Wu without revealing it tosses that into the mix with multiple aggressive predators including Raptors well the end result is known. A hybrid born from a hybrid could have health problems especially if they maybe toss a few more hybrids or certain other dinos into the gene pool.

I can see this theory working considering they want to weaponize dinosaurs but also know they can't do it with a pure strain as they are too animalistic and feral to tame and would attack friend and foe alike if unleashed.
Now I will say having a Dino hybrid with its arm replaced gun is ridiculous the idea of them being smart enough to use human tools and weapons would also be interesting.
To add to the hybrid theory, I predict that they wanted to create human Dino hybrid soldiers where they have the benefits of both but under more controllable situations. Example imagine a soldier hybrid with raptor that nit only can jump high but also cling onto a wall with one hand and fire a smg with the other or one hybrid with a rock tail (Sorry not good at spelling names) using its harden shelled back as a shield from bullets providing cover for its pack.
Adding the benefits of dinos with humans would change the battlefield unlike what were familiar with.
Also with human DNA they can think, communicate, be inventive, etc to the point of becoming far more intelligent than their Dino cousins.
This could also bring up a new problem in the movie of these hybrids becoming smart, escaping on their own, organizing and turning on their creators. With this in mind the survivors would only have 2 options escape and hope these new hybrids don't become an invasive and dominant species on earth or would have to destroy them to prevent them from escaping and spreading all over the world. Also being hybrid they might be able to reproduce with humans which could cause a new problem all together or the fact they have human and Dino DNA its unknown what would happen if it's blood mixes with a human which could result in mutated diseases or even an infection to cause the human to be more Dino like themselves as the hybrid blood begins multiplying inside them and altering their DNA.
So final thought. Imagine a post apocalyptic setting where Dino hybrids now dominate the world like their Dino counter parts did before their extinction. The survivors, being the new prey, must stay one step ahead of them to prevent them from being killed, turned into a breeding tool, infected or slowly ripped apart and devoured while also trying to gather supplies to survive or create a bio weapon to kill them but must be careful to nit have the weapon target them as well.
    So many possibilities........
One request for this channel. If you can make a movie involving hybrids, how would you make it?

Good video mate👍🏻 cuz (personally according to me) here ú mention a critical subject the"breeding &DNA🧬 mixing" --The1st two J.P. movies began very nicely & strongly💪🏻 interesting to the audience(mixing fake with real &make a lovely result) It started by using the filling up the dino
    "🧬 gaps" with"🐸frog🧬" &succeed to make the
🦕dinosaurs🦖--But sadly after the 3rd sequel, the J.W.movies followed a wrong path(for me personally) i believe that they should stick in the J.P. "Dino~zoo🦖" topic & instead of keep mixing DNA🧬 to make abnormal monsters, they could supposedly use the teck for evolving the creatures🧬 to correct the dinosaurs& make'em look as they actually eventually are, starting from the "🐸🧬" &eventually work on the"🦖🧬" =resulting from theropods with "mange" into "furthered"ones i'm not saying to change the size of the v.raptos already from the 1st movie &sequels but end'em up with futhers &their behaviour as we know now this would be a nice DNA🧬 manipulation for the sequels while also including a nice "direction &plotting" story🦖 close to the original♥️ =instead of what we have now~mixing🧬 of lots of different "froged🧬dinos"combined with today's reptiles &even sea🦑 to make I.rex & I.reaptor for military &black market purposes ect.. i dont like it..before i end my already giant comment (my apology for that) the idea of
"🧘🏻‍♂️🧬🦖=Dinomen" im glad that it wasn't made & released cuz besides being ugly, it'd also be outta subject in the 1st place while creating prehistoric creatures hiring Grand & Malcom for advice due to the subject it began nice but continued Nőt nice & that's sad cuz it could move on nice 💯 "🫤"

In retrospect the writing around the Indominus was terrible. Characters instantly credited it with hyper intelligence instead of logical explanations rooted in its DNA which then could have come back later to be terrifying. For example, the heat modulation. Are we to believe that was intentional to fool humans? Was this some kind of all-knowing being? Instead it could be intermittent and later when it's hunted it could slowly fade when the soldiers are using IR in the jungle. The claw marks? It's hyper aggressive due to the abuse, small enclosure, and combination of dinosaur DNA. The fact that we're beaten over the head with Pratt's dialogue is such a disservice to the story being told, and it happens over and over again in JW, JWFK, and JWD. The implant? Isn't it shocked as a result of proximity? Doesn't it make sense that it might be removed for that reason? There are huge misses in these scripts.

    • @marcthomassey2565
      @marcthomassey2565 8 місяців тому

It's true that Owen's explanations are sometimes too "exposition" style and that considering the way the indominus rex was conceived, it could be explained by DNA details or the way she has been raised.
But (even if it is a personal interpretation as Owen is supposed to be the hero and we all know that heroes are never wrong 😏), Owen's explanations in that peculiar context were the immediate answer that came to his mind (especially for the implant but I could almost say the same for the apatosaurs slaughter, considering that for the Indominus rex, it could have been its way to assert its new position in a place she is exploring and a warning to other predators, not to mention how feral animals can behave or the zombified sauropod of "Primeval" (I know, specifics circumstances but it is to show that killing for sport is not the only or sole reason for the Indominus rex's rampage (not to mention the apatosaurs and brachiosaur killings are the only ones shown with this potential streak, where there could have been other signs mentionned or shown).
The fact that Owen barely escaped his first encounter and dismissed the Indominus rex as a dinosaur (which is true from a certain perspective) may have also biased him in his analysis. Just because you have been trained to handled stressful situations doesn't mean you won't suffer from it once, even less when the situation was not expected.
I am aware it wouldn't be canon, but due to the shown context, it could make sense.

Maybe during her cloning process they tampered with her DNA before the artificial insemination clone method.
They also eradicated the disease that plagued her, so tampered with her DNA again, to do that means that they have her whole genome and such.
Many may say that her familiarity is from past memories of her past self, but it seemed like in the movie that she seemed to have a 6th sense about the IndoRaptor from time to time.

It seems like it’s like pretty clear that they were going for some sort of reference to the human hybrids, possibly putting human DNA in the hybrids. The whole thing with the poster is pretty telling, if it was a frog or something, I’d doubt it would be so secretive. It could be that they were going to reveal the indominus having human DNA, but then chickened out of it. I think there’s also something to be said about the theory with Maisie being part raptor, which a few years ago, was even more popular than the hybrids being part human. When she ‘hunts’ Iris in the mansion, it’s a direct reference to how Alan Grant describes raptors hunting patterns in the first film. There’s also that face-blend scene with the indoraptor, which makes her look like a human-dinosaur hybrid. Plus, she’s literally a clone, and we have no idea what lengths Lockwood went to bring her back.

In jurassic park 3 the velociraptors on the island set two traps. One: when they first walked into the breading facility after escaping the spino a raptor stood behind the test tube and tricked Amanda into thinking it was just a raptor head which is why they had to escape. Two: when the raptors left Udesky on the ground to get the humans out of the tree they were safe in, when Amanda reacted and almost fell out of the tree the raptors attacked and almost got her. Billy even commented “they actually set a trap” not to mention when the raptors failed and got called back by the matriarch, one proceeded to snap Udesky’s neck and make eye contact with the people in the tree. So I highly doubt there was any human/ape DNA used in the making of the indominus rex. Dr. Grant explained multiple times at the beginning of the movie how smart the raptor species was, therefore I do not believe it was used at all in any aspect for the movies. Hence why the director said that’s not his work. Raptors in general are extremely smart, can communicate and work together. That is where the Indominus got it’s smarts

    Edit
    -----
I think I might have a title idea,
    *”Jurassic War”*
It feels right, seeing you’ve gone from a *park* , to a *worldwide* expansion and now to the battlefield,
Imagine how agitated other world leaders would be now that they have to deal with dinosaurs, this could possibly cause a war.
-So what if the dinosaurs are sent to fight alongside humans in another WW? it’s a pretty wild theory but it would be interesting and I think audiences would like it, especially if we’re introduced to new dinosaur-characters that can actually form connections with the audience (and possibly see their perspective). Also, they could include some pretty scary scenes and I *NEED* to see more dinosaur horror.

Part of the intelligence aspect of the hybrids could possibly come from the jp3 raptors, they are shown on screen laying a trap and since the jw dominion dino tracker footage shows them on the mainland we know they had to have been moved from isla sorna at some point.
But personally i love the ethical implications that some human dna was used in the hybrids. It adds a whole darker theme to Dr Wu that i love. We also know that human cloning was taking place at the same time as jurassic park thanks to the footage of Charlotte lockwood in dominion, wu also explicitly states that he knew Charlotte so its not impossible to think that he expanded on her work.
Outside of the jurassic park/dinosaur fan community i feel like a human hybrid would cause a lot of new interest, especially if it went down a less pg horror route. Especially with the rise of human experimentation featuring in games, films, stories and analogue horror. (poppy playtime, garten of banban, happy meat farms, get out, the alien franchise, resident evil, fallout, scp games, creepypasta stories, stranger things to an extent etc)
I dream of a dinosaur having the ability to mimic noises and/or voices like a parrot or lyrebird, to me that would be on level with a human hybrid.

Alittle late on this one but theres actually quite a few species that have opposable thumbs besides just primate species, opossums, chameleons, tree frogs as mentioned in the video, lemurs, pandas(also mentioned), Koalas and Loris's, some people say raccoons do but while they do have 5 digits they do NOT have opposable thumbs, they just have extremely dexterous paws, not saying that they didnt get the thumbs from possible human DNA but there are 2 listed species being used to fill gaps in DNA that have opposable thumbs, that being the tree frogs as well as chameleons in the case of the Indominus(and by proxy the Indo Raptor) so its also equally possible that it got the thumbs from either one of those species as well
