      I have trouble making goals.

It can be hard! But go slow and start small. Maybe just a few categories with like two or three goals each. Then, when you're comfortable, you can add a little more.

Do you reflect on the annual goals every month/week? For me, it dies down after some time instead of me crushing them :(
Edit: you gave the answer in the last part of the video..thank you :)

Definitely going to incorporate the printables into my planning process for 2023!

I’m so glad your goals are done in a mind-map…this is the way my brain works best, as well.

Taylor, thank you so much for sharing your goal setting! You're the reason I decided to try Makselife for the first time. Setting my goals for 2023 came much more easily to me and it didn't stress me out like previous years. 😊

Your comment about writing the annual goals being scary...yes! I have my thoughts about my goals out on paper in my journal but I haven't yet officially written THE GOALS out in my planner yet because it's scary. I love watching your goals videos though. I get so in my own head about them and watching you talk through your process is so helpful.

It really is! Because once you write it down, you own it. But it's also powerful, like a promise to yourself.

I chose consistency as my word too! I’m so excited to see how you apply it

I like your approach to this and fully understand the comment about picking them being scary. I got some ideas here, thanks. I'm still working through my word for '23 (This year was Persist). Looking forward to the 3rd in the series.

I've been drafting my annual goals similar to yours because the mind map style really works for me as well. Thanks so much for the series! Can't wait for the next part.

We had to do smart goals 8n class last semester and I chose the wrong goals and the wrong reward system. Needless to say I failed with that activity bit learned so much about goal setting and myself even though the goals I set weren't met.
I decided to try it again starting this week with some more realistic goals and skipped the reward part and instead gave myself options for when I don't hit the goal on the day so that I don't feel defeated. I feel it is going to work so much better for me.

SMART goals are great for some people, but it doesn’t always click with everyone, me included. It’s helpful to know about them and practice but you can step out of the box sometimes too!
That’s a great idea! I’ve been hard on myself the past few months as I’ve dropped almost every goal but it’s not realistic to be consistent 24/7. I know I can take a break sometimes or do little steps instead but my mind hasn’t caught up to that yet.

@@tattooedteacherplans I am know to hold my self to a high standard of performace especially when the outcome of the situation will be known by others or impact others. As a mom of three boys (twin 16 year olds still at home) and a husband who works from home I never feel like I get to be just me. I'm mom or I'm wife. Finding me and taking a step away from the other roles I play (mom, wife, student, ministry leader, daughter, etc) has been a long process but I'm finally making myself an important person in my life and for once I'm not feeling guilty about it.
