Also depending on your location and goals I have a complete m42 with 5 speed I would sell. M42 needs head work and a piston. Everything else is good, entire timing setup was redone 3 years ago but 2 valves dropped on cylinder 3 so the head is scored up there (not major) and the piston has a hole in it. Cylinder walls look brand new still.

The car really just needs just the 5 speed. It's a common conversion using 3 series parts and virtually a bolt in. Very worth while.

@@delukxy yep, I was going to swap the entire setup into an e21 but sold the car so it's just sitting in pieces in my garage. I might still do it with another e21. I'm really looking for an e28 524td at the moment but they are almost impossible to come by here in the states.
