We tried out some evapo-rust in the shop. Gotta say this stuff works pretty good. I sense a series comin…. #nowayguy #nowyouknow #lifehack #didyouknow #toolhack
I've been using this stuff for years.. mostly on frames on trucks I restore. Some people spend money on sandblasting but with an air chisel to knock off the big flakes of rust then transfer the evapo rust to a spray bottle and literally soak the frame till it's dripping then sit for a day, then repeat and sit for another day till it looks good. Then I paint the frame and nobody would tell the difference. 👍
@@cummins0328says it’s safe for plastics, which I would imagine means it’s safe for rubber… brake lines are either steel or copper alloy so I don’t imagine it would harm the brake lines other than cleaning the outer surfaces. I’m up in the north east where they salt the roads heavily with that corrosive calcium mixture. I’m about to restore the frame on my pickup, hopefully I’ll be able to find this comment thread again and I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m going to try the evaporust in a spray bottle technique as I’ve heard of it from some other people before.
@MrSagerific95 now that I've seen this I think I'm gonna try it on my 4runner frame before it's too far gone. I plan to do go through it fully this summer to make this truck last. I was told by a welder that did some repairs to it that the collector car guys coat frames in transmission fluid cause it soaks in and stays on well. Maybe another idea instead of painting on e its all cleaned up!
@@Monty87LS good luck. It’s good to see other people putting in the work to make something good last instead of just throwing it away. I’ve heard of the transmission fluid technique as well and spraying used motor oil/ and gear oil mixture. I could see how the transmission fluid would soak in better because it’s more viscous. Personally I like to paint chassis parts with rustoleum brushed on for maximum thickness. I’ve done a ton of axles with it and some parts of some frames, the “rusty metal primer” seems to hold up really well to salt. Plus the best part is you can just touch it up with a rattle can if it gets scratched… I completely gave up on wool wax or fluid film because you have to reapply 2-3 times a year if you drive in rain.
Holy shit this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Was going to sandblast but this sounds way easier. Gal might have some more life in her! Thank you!
I used Evapo Rust to restore antique door locks and handles in my house. Stuff worked great AND I got to keep using antique original items for my house.
For cheap rust removal simply put your rusty crap in a bucket of distilled vinegar and allow to sit for 5 to 10 days and rinse with water works great for adjustable tools jacks whatever you can think of
Dude you need to be watching Hand Tool Rescue, your fellow Canadian. He practically drinks Evaporust. It works as well as they say and lasts forever and is not caustic.
Coca Cola has phosphoric acid which also works. Of course if you are thirsty then you have to decide. Evap rust is great I use it on my pliers that I forget outside sometimes.
It's always funny to watch people's reactions discovering this stuff. It's been around for years and works extremely well, surprisingly it doesn't have much word of mouth sharing about to others.
It works, you have to get heavy rust of first great for surface rust, but you jave to wash off and put a protectanant on or else the parts will re-rust quickly.
Oh nice! I bought a gallon of that shit years ago to fix some rust scale on the inside of a fuel tank I was gonna swap into my car but was too lazy to ever get around to it. Maybe now I will...
It’s excellent stuff, does what it says on the tub….But….it does leave a black finish which can be left black if required, or easily removed with a wire brush, which does defeat the object a little… If anyone knows of an easy way to remove the black coating. Please let me know… Much better than vinegar (acid) which dissolves the steel… Only down side is the price, but it can be re-used…how many times, I’ve yet to find out..
And Dirty Down Rust puts it back on 😂 Joke got my mech mate with it on his files, its water soluable model paint that looks AWESOME. Great practical joke tho, had him going for 5 mins solid before he realised it was washing off with his sweaty palms 🤣🔥
That’s because to you it’s unorganized. To him, its may look like a mess, but he knows where things are. Because he put it there. Example. Have you ever had someone clean your room? Besides a hotel. The person cleaning doesn’t necessarily know how you like things. My cousin had offered to clean my room for me one time. I said sure. The next day I couldn’t find anything.
So I bought a bucket of this after this video,, haven't used it yet.. I have a couple rifles that were in a flood in my basement that I want to try it on but it will also take off all the bluing I'm told.. ffs ..., know anyone who can re- blu ??? 🤦♂️🤷🏼♂️
It’s not pro-ject two words , it’s project one word, I’m from the south it’s not brand new it’s called goodier 😂, I ❤videos makes me say the same no way

I've been wondering about doing the same thing to my truck. Would it damage any hoses, lines, or wires?

Really nice to see when a product actually does a good job of what it advertises
Every Dodge Truck purchase should come with a lifetime supply of this Product 🙏
Ford's are no better
60's-90's Toyotas as well
Every resident of Michigan should be gifted a can once a year
For real 😂 I just seen a newer ram rusted to shit as I was watching this 😅
I love this guy so much. My friends and I always be saying "what? No way" lol. You rock dude

Time is money ….. 5-10 days is a lot when doing jobs
For effectiveness, this stuff is the best in my experience.
Using vinegar (acid) dissolves the steel, evapo doesn’t…
We use it in the machine shop all the time. We have a giant bin of it. The stuff is awesome.
Except that is cast iron which is pretty much easier to clean than steel. It is good stuff though.
Don’t throw it away either, I pour it into a big kitchen fat separator and back into the bucket. I’ve been using the same bucket for about 9 years.
I used this stuff to clean the rust of the bumper on my bullnose ford and added bonus was it polished it.
That was CLEAN!!! Like large double double for from a buddy just because, clean.
We use that at work! It’s amazing for restoring stuff!
Best carburetor cleaner ever made.
Old motorcycle gas tanks + Evaporust = cheat code
It actually pretty good I actually dumped it in locked up engine for about month broke loose

I was expecting someone to bring him up lol

Evaporast is awesome!
Whaaattt??? No wayyyyyy 🤯
It's always funny to watch people's reactions discovering this stuff. It's been around for years and works extremely well, surprisingly it doesn't have much word of mouth sharing about to others.
Here is a cheaper better way. Citric acid 1 cup to 1 gal hot water over night and NO SCUBBING RUST GONE AND SAFE AND CHEAP😃
Idk if its more expensive, but white vinegar also does exactly this.
Vinegar works just as good and is way cheaper
What???!!!! No way!!!! That’s amazing
It works, you have to get heavy rust of first great for surface rust, but you jave to wash off and put a protectanant on or else the parts will re-rust quickly.
Apparently you don’t need safety glasses because if you accidentally get that evapo rust in your eyes you will not even notice or feel anything

Bro.................... Baking soda, water, and an old tooth brush. Doesn't get much cheaper than that. Lol
Question. What is the best way to remove rust from a boat rigging that's still up. Galvanized mainly but also stainless...
He said "ah and it comes with a nice little basket" lol reminded me of Nick Swardson of off The Benchwarmers
It's remarkable how I ended up here , but his humor is genuinely unparalleled and absolutely hilarious.
Great product
I poured some down cylinders on stuck motor that sat for a long time and it freed it up.
I use this stuff a lot for engine parts
I've gotta try some on some parts I've got. Have a good Alberta week
Omg....ITS DIPPPPP!!!!!
Wayne's World, Excellent!!! 😂😂😂
I've used it works great it gets rid of the rest and nothing else
I use krud cutter the must for rust (spray bottle) works good
Set it a side after you rinse it and see if it rerust again.?
There's a lot of water in that stuff
Didn’t know Jason Sudeikis had a UA-cam channel, neat.
Can you wipe this stuff on a larger object and it work?
Love this guy
I wonder if this stuff would work on marine exhaust manifolds
Yes it works great and I remember when it used to be $10 a gallon now it's $30 a gallon and I bet you know why too
Yeah! Science, Mr White!
A Harbor Freight gem!
Great Video. Works Great!
Vinegar works just as well if not better and it’s a fraction of the price
And Dirty Down Rust puts it back on 😂
Joke got my mech mate with it on his files, its water soluable model paint that looks AWESOME.
Great practical joke tho, had him going for 5 mins solid before he realised it was washing off with his sweaty palms 🤣🔥
Dude just discovered CLR
I was looking for the Dateline guy.
All Toyota Siennas and Rav4s come stock with a 5 gallon bucket of this.
30 % vinegar works well also
Great stuff, and you don't need the gloves.
Would this work if i just sprayed it on the under body of my rusting truck?
What? No way!!
The only thing it stinks to high hell when it turns black and gets old.
It’s impressive how unorganized he is, but knows where everything is
That’s because to you it’s unorganized.

I know what is in the to the top of every pile of stuff in and around my shop. Why would you find that hard to believe
disorganized *
Some might say it EVAPOrates the rust
Must have coca cola in it
Did I see derby wheels?
Used to wash blades an parts In a giant chemical bath thing. And we had that stuff near boiling. Idk if it's safe but I'm alive 😂 👌
Vinegar 👍
Canadians are awesome
It's amazing stuff
Thought it was saftey 3rd?
Elon musk should be given this stuff away to all his cyber truck customers lol
I get angry when I think of how many hours days of my life could have been saved with that stuff
NO WAYYYY
Dude your place is so so messy 😲
Good work keep it up 🤣
It's the perfect system, only he, himself, knows where everything is. 😊📐🪛🪚
So you don't actually work on anything, you just make sure the labels on everything, are facing outwards and that there's no rust on your tools
I'm 5 videos into this channel........sub'd liked and coming back for more! Annnnnnnd now I have to buy a bucket of this stuff 😂
No way dude! Noice
Got a sandblaster?
I tried it, it didn't clean for crap. I tried it on a rusty bolt die and it never cleaned up. I'm a non believer.
No way
You just found out about evaporust?
It’s just vinegar and warmer. Smell it
Can you use it in a gas tank ?
Whaattt nooooo wayyyy
Try Rustil+ it's better.
EDIT: check Evapo Rust vs. Rustil. 😳
Wait 'til you try phosphoric acid 😉 Flick sake.
Sandblast.
Coca Cola
Wow ❤️
Wow
Paint it quick. Or it will start rusting again fast.
It better be safe for plastics, the bucket 🪣 it comes in is plastic 🤣😂🤣😂
😐
Poor it on any rust belt car in america and watch it disappear 😅
Wow your shop is some junk yard
I am having trouble believing you.
I'm here because the same vid you uploaded on Facebook is a scam no part 2
No part two? It’s only one part lol. Are you following the verified Facebook page
Same lol. FB cut it short on the short.
Aren’t we all it cut out right at the good part😂
This stuff isn't a scam...it works freaking awesome!
Bruh viniger gives the same results not impressed at all
So I bought a bucket of this after this video,, haven't used it yet.. I have a couple rifles that were in a flood in my basement that I want to try it on but it will also take off all the bluing I'm told.. ffs ..., know anyone who can re- blu ??? 🤦♂️🤷🏼♂️
Duracoat makes a spray on finish that looks just like factory blue.. I use it on guns all the time. Very durable too
Really hey.. I've never heard of that.. interesting..
Try it on your lip! 😐
now go rinse it off with some water
He said he did that
You can sandblast the rust off.
It’s not pro-ject two words , it’s project one word, I’m from the south it’s not brand new it’s called goodier 😂, I ❤videos makes me say the same no way
