Thank you for moving the phone over the frames...I COULD Smell the goldenrod honey! Love your videos. Thank you for sharing your beekeeping knowledge with all of us!
?? Some scraping went on the ground some went in coat pocket. Nice vid. Save the brown sticky stuff put in jar with rubbing alcohol shake it up a lot, brush in all corners of swarm traps bee swarms love it. They will move in traps faster. Old Dan in NC
Good video where you all live do you have thru the end of winter a lot of warm days for your bees to get out an do a cleansing flight most years ?? . With the amount of honey they had in there ( I think you said around three frames total) with your temperature is that enough to cover thru till stuff starts coming in.?? Thanks John I hope you all have a great season.
Arkansas weather is supremely unpredictable. It's different from one winter to the next. Som years are really cold, some are unseasonably hot. We usually just feed if we sense that the hives are light on stores.
Love your vids...very helpful. Could I make a suggestion...one that I hope you'll adopt and that will spread to other UA-cam beekeepers? Since *so* much of beekeeping is timing and so much of timing depends on location, it would be so great if you started all of your video descriptions with [Location: Russellville, Arkansas, USDA Zone 7b] If everyone adopted this format, it would be *so* helpful to those of us trying to learn. Thanks for all you do, Hugh
Lifting boxing from the end can be deceiving. Seems like if the bottom is light and the top is heavy it feels lighter. Probably some physics in action there but I'm no engineer!
Not a dumb question at all. Fondant for bees is very similar to fondant for cakes, just made for bees. Here's a link for more information. :-) www.centralbeekeeperssupply.com/onlinestore/Fondant-Patties-for-Feed-to-Honey-Bees-p155811019

Warmer weather is always much appreciated! As is this comment. Thanks for watching!

That's good advice, and we'll do our best to remember to do something like that in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!
How is the long hive doing?

Same here! Not an engineer, for sure. Use all of the senses! Thanks for watching. :-)
Hey, what pollen are they bringing in? Maple?
Elm and cedar at the moment, could also be some maple.
#RTBBF thanks for the comment.
Fondant? Like for cakes? 🤔 sorry if I'm asking dumb questions.

They need moved in the house. This weather isn't fit for man or beast. What happened to global warming? I was rooting for it!
Pistol and bees in the house together is not a good combination.
Thanks for comment, July is just around the corner.
@Central Beekeepers Supply yes sir....and then we can complain about the heat lol.
