I honestly think that Ftisland is becoming a really strong, rock band and that is something to be praised for considering the importance that the mainstream gives to rock in South Korea... I mean, you just have to see how versatile they have become and they play a little bit with different styles. Following them for the last 2 years I thought that they would release a 'full' rock song as single but they have gone for something different, something like going back to their origins but at the same time saying "hey, we're still a rock band, don't think otherwise". I personally love it :)
FTIsland plans to be together for a long long time, past 40 years even. Hongki wrote this song for their 10th anniversary album. Please support the album, it's probably one of their best yet! They've had a lot of ballads and rock ballads in the past so if you've followed them for a while or heard a lot of their discography you'll find songs similar to this. I freaking love everything about this song!!!! I can't stop listening to it. I have it on repeat
"Have they had a song that demonstrates his vocal ability?" Answer: Yes. Their first album were mostly rock ballads. More recent releases like Madly and Severely also had a dramatic and emotional feel like this song, though I have to say-as someone whose been a fan of FTi since the beginning- this is one of the best vocals I've ever heard from Hongki, and I think that is saying a lot because he's always been exceptional. But yes, please check out Madly or Severely, also Bad Woman. :)
,i think its not something other fans xpect something blasts of FTISLANDS 10TH year annvrsary comeback,but its their passion to come up with this song starting with a ballad and turning it to rock,its lit,and they just want to show us the perfection of music that they gain for 10 yirs,,
I am a Primadonna and I must say that Wind is a good song but for their 10th anniversary,I expected something stronger. They did say they want to experience with different sounds,however since the release of Pray and Take Me Now, I've come to expect such songs from them. Wind was a really big change in my opinion. But I also feel like that might confuse non-fans, Wind leans towards a ballad than rock.
A song showing his voice, Severely, They told us to stop, Lovesick, Heaven, Callous in my heart, Hello Hello, Heartache, my life, I wish, Memory, madly in Korean, Last love song, Morning coffee, Crying in the Rain Tornado beautiful, Break Free in Japanese... Of course the lights are old the video is a compilation of all the MVs they have had in the past 10 years, Lovesick, heaven, Severely, I pray, hello hello, where's the truth, I wish and I hope even bing bing bing I think, like the birds are included in the scenes... The song was composed and written by Lee Hong Ki, the album is absolutely amazing, with different genres and composed and written as always by each one of the members of FT Island. Try the re-release of Lovesick...
I really love this song. Hongki planned to create songs that can only be sung by him or his vocal, since he said he couldnt do clear falsetto. When we watch the live version, we'll realize that Wind is really hard to sing coz it's going up, up n up n getting high till the end without pause, n it's hard to sing it live. Many tried n they felt exhausted in the middle x'D I also thought it was a simple song n music, but it's really not. Way to go FT!! ^^ ♥♥♥
They were a rock ballet group at first so it's not surprising for them to choose this song as the 10th anni memo song. But why are you keep saying "disbanding" all the time though? As far as I know they are not considering disbanding any time soon... I kinda feel bad as a 10 years Primadonna...
+Poe Lay I'm talking as if they are disbanding. Just using that situation as an example where emotional songs are used frequently. I'm just saying that big moments in a groups career such as big anniversaries and when they disband tend to be marked by more emotional songs.
ah I loved this song, I loved how they blended the ballad aspect to the more rock aspect later in the song. As always hongki's voice was amazinh. personally this song gives me chills, or like I feel my heart being squeezed when I listen to it
Yeah...I hope FNC doesn't get any ideas to diminish their creative control simply because the two versions of Love Sick has been in the charts since the remake announcement and release. Give that cursed debut song a rest and leave them alone. Over 10 years and all their accomplishments in an average Korean's eyes boils down to a song from a decade ago. WIND is beautiful but the interesting part of the song must have turned people off because of the abrupt transition and that was them being subdued. Which sucks because it was made to make people realize they grew past this emotional ballad genre that only showcases Lee Hongki's vocals. It's done. Its over. Stop asking for another Love Sick. "Anything and everything" Puppy lmao. Sorry for the rant, it makes me sad people keep telling them to remake their old hits. Like it doesn't matter what they do so long as they continue to deliver what people want. They're frustrated about that the most.
