Thank you so very much for posting this! You literally saved me a couple hour's worth of time as well as helping me keep my cardigan on point. I wish I could give you a hug!!
You are a lifesaver!! Thank you so much for helping me out of having to back up two rows of 160 stiches. Your explanation and demonstration was just what the doctor ordered! 😊
Thank you. My missed yarn over was two rows back and I have 126 stitches I didn't want to frog, it's so easy once you've explained it. Thank you. A great clear and concise video. Much appreciated.
I was a quarter of the way in my project when I saw the missing stitch. This video was right on.....it was indeed a YO that I missed. You gave very clear detailed information and detailed instructions. This helped me a lot. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much Suzanne. I am making a scarf for my mom and this video has been fantastic at helping me repair forgotten yarn overs. So glad you are sharing your knowledge!
Thank goodness for you...you saved me. It was such an easy fix but if I didn't have you, I would have had to rip back......my first lace shawl is now not the bane of my existence
You are my hero! I wanted to cry when I realised I'd missed a yarn over 2 rows below at the end of a 195 stitch row. The thought of undoing it all was soul crushing but you saved me! Thank you so much!
after ripping out my Reyna shawl about 100 times because of missing yarn overs when tinking back, can I just say?......I think I love you!!! Thank you!!!
All I have to remember is ONE yarn over eight stitches in from the start of a row....and I’ll get going like a demon and forget it. Guess this dummy needs a couple of stitch markers! Thank you for this. The second row down is the one I needed. Great tip.
Gee I was picking up a missed YO on the knit side, just slipping my stitches over to the other needle to expose the mistake, which worked, but made the stitch a bit tight. Since I just made this mistake (again!), I decided to consult Suzanne. Since my mistake is at the beginning of a long row, I'm going to mark the stitch and correct it on the purl side using Suzanne's method this time. Thank you again Suzanne for another great tutorial!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This video saved my bacon! I was on the beginning of the last chart of a lace shawl with an obnoxious number of stitches and realized on the right side row that a mishap on the previous row (bunch of sts got pushed off the right hand needle, which I thought had all been picked up) resulted in 3 missing yarn overs. I thought I was gunna croak. Such an easy fix too. You are a total boss!
Hi! I decided to start watching your episodes from the beginning to review all your pointers. And already I find this one to be so helpful. Thank you so much! ~StitchedbyMimi
Oh my, it is kind of embarrassing, the older ones are of such poor quality compared to my newer ones. But the information is still good. Thank you so much!
I am not being hyperbolic when I say you have saved Christmas. I’m making a shawl for my mom and noticed a missed yarn over two rows down and now I can fix it instead of unraveling my rows
Very helpful! Could u please do another video showing how to undo a *prl 2 tog, yarn over? You have one tutorial without the following yarn over, but it is hard to see where to insert the needle. Perhaps use a bulkier yarn & bigger needles? I have a whole row of prl 2tog, yarn overs to undo. Thank you for your clear & expert videos!
Thank you so much for this wonderful fix and clear explanation. Interesting to see you use the continental style. I can’t let my Danish mother in law see this as I’ve told her my way is what’s used throughout the English speaking knitting world 😉
Amazing! Thank you for this you are a godsend! I really didn't want to have to tink 200 stitches, over 2 rounds, on magic loop circulars 😵 Can't wait to give this a go to fix my yarn over"sight" lol
Do you have a video of how to pick up a missed or dropped yarn-over when knitting the traditional dishcloth pattern (garter stitch)? With this garter stitch pattern, I have a hard time finding and "fixing" the yarn-over!! Thanks!
Hi thank you always so helpful! I now have a missed yarn over several rounds down. I was able to fix them one that was a round down but this is several. Let me know thanks!
Find the space where the yarn over should have been. then pick up the bar between the two stitches where the yarn over should have been, and with a crochet hook ladder up to the needle. It is the same as this - ua-cam.com/video/v14ObMB1_yo/v-deo.html
you would pick up the bar between the stitches where the yarnover should have been, and then with your needle, wrap it around the needle one more time.
Yes. If you have dropped the triple yarnover, this is how you would pick it up. Starting with the leftmost stitch of the three, place the dropped loop on the left needle in the standard orientation (counter clockwise), then repeat that two more times. So the loop is wrapped around the left needle 3 times. If you forgot to make the triple yarnover in the previous row, it might be a tight fit to pick up the bar from below and wrap it around the left needle three times, but you could try that.
It is a little trickier but go ahead and try it. The worst that can happen is you will have to take out the rounds back to the mistake. Good luck. Every time I fix a mistake, I gain more confidence in the ability to fix the next mistake.
What a great video! You explain the solution so well and demonstrate the steps so that even I feel like I can do it. Thank you Miss Suzanne.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy knitting.
Just wanted to say thank you for this great tutorial! Fixing a dropped yarn over two rows down made me feel like a knitting genius. 😆
Yay for you, Kristine, this is wonderful to hear! ❤️

LOL, stitch markers can be a life saver! And please don't beat yourself up, we've all been there! 😉

Thank you so much Suzanne, simple solutions like this one save hours of knitting!!!
You are so welcome, Carolina!
Suzanne Bryan, you are a GENIUS!
Thank you and happy knitting.
I'm so glad to learn this, so I don't have to think back 150 stitches on my cowl. Thank you!
Yay! Happy knitting.

I have added this to my video todo list. Thank you.
Clever. I knew about correcting the missing y/o on the next purl row, but not how to do it on the knit row after the purl row. Thank you!
Thanks Amy. Happy Knitting!
Thank you so much for this wonderful fix and clear explanation. Interesting to see you use the continental style. I can’t let my Danish mother in law see this as I’ve told her my way is what’s used throughout the English speaking knitting world 😉
I can knit both ways, but my default is Continental. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you so much for this video. Fixed my problem instantly. Your explanation was amazing.
Great to hear!
Thank you!!!!! ❤
You are so welcome!
Thank you! You’re genius and saved my work!

Such a great video! Thank you so much! I was at loss trying to figure out how to correct my missing yarn over 2 rows down!
You’re welcome! It’s so easy to miss those yarn overs!
Brilliant explanation!
Thank you!🧶
Thanks for you expertise!
Thank you so much! What if I have missed a twice yarn over???
you would pick up the bar between the stitches where the yarnover should have been, and then with your needle, wrap it around the needle one more time.
Thank you !!!
Yay!
Superb video. A super saver. Thank you so much.
So glad it was helpful!
So helpful! Thank you!
You are so welcome, Tammy, thanks for watching! ❤️
Great video dear
Thank you so much, Narmada! 😊
Thank you ❤❤
I’m several rows over a missed yo increase on a top down Ragland cardigan. Can it still be added?
Yes, just drop down to it, add it and cable back up with your crochet hook.
Excellent. Thank you
Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy Knitting.
whats the name of that pattern love it
I just made it up for the sample. Just yarnovers randomly placed for the video
Do you have any advice on how to pick up a triple yarn over?
So clear! Thank you.
Thank you Carol. Happy knitting.
Thank you so much.
You are very welcome Janet O! Happy knitting.
Hi, are this instructiond valid also if i work with the yarn on the right hand? A beginner 😊
Yes, absolutely
@@SuzanneBryan thank you:)
You saved me! Thank you x1000
Great!
What if you are doing a K2tog, YO, K1 every 2nd round and missed a yarn over 4 or 5 rounds back? Would this technique still work?
It is a little trickier but go ahead and try it. The worst that can happen is you will have to take out the rounds back to the mistake. Good luck. Every time I fix a mistake, I gain more confidence in the ability to fix the next mistake.
Brilliant!
Thanks so much, Ramara Joyette!
Genius!
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
