Hi no plastic smell. They use PP same plastic used in baby bottles and most food containers :)
Newbie question how do I know if the cup I have is compatible interms of size with the pod I’m about to use (so that the machine won’t just keep on going until it drips)? I dont know the capacity of the cups I buy/have :’)

i wonder the espresso boost button on the Genio S Plus vs the lack of it on Mini Me.. does it make a big difference?
Only for espresso drinkers I’d say. Not really big difference but for espresso capsules and u use this boost feature it does make a difference
But is it worth double the money?

On the second machine when testing how much water ir holds, the right hand machines water is low and then on the next shot the water level is much higher-

Hey, not sure which device you are using but if it is a mini me if found this one: in case of intensive use without allowing sufficient cooling time, the appliance will stop functioning temporarily with the red indicator light blinking. This is to protect your appliance from overheating. Switch the appliance off for 20 minutes to let it cool down. Also what they have done here www.fixya.com/support/t20214825-red_light_flashing_not_turn_green_dolce seemed to work

@@xJanay i have touch screen version for 6 months and its awesome. I returned genio and paid for the plus version to upgrade. I would recommend either buy mini me or touch screen version.

Hi this I'm not really sure of but I've seen a post in one of the dolce groups users that the adapter fits. I'm not really sure haven't tried Nespresso cups yet

The S model has XL cup size option..how big is it? since the mini doesnt have the option. You brewed the same cup size in the video (XL option wasnt selected in S model but already max out in mini model)

Hi I think you can provided that in the item description of refill capsules it is also suitable with the Genio S plus. I also heard some people may have hard time at first since you have to perfectly fit the needle but it takes time to learn this skill once you’re getting used to it

Hi the only difference of Genio S Plus is that it has espresso boost feature. If you’re not really an espresso drinker then you should buy the Genio S. Also if you like the design of white Genio S more then it’s okay since no white design for S Plus i think. At the end, it would still be the same coffee drink for both machines, would just depend on which flavor of capsules you will have.. :)

We have dolce gusto mini me and the only issue with it is that coffee is not that hot, just very warm. You have to drink it fast 😅
In Genio S plus it is possible to choose temperature but is the hottest temperature hotter than the one in mini me or very similar?
Yes it is hotter the reason why we often use the genio s plus during fall-winter.. also we noticed that with mini me too you have to drink it fast hahaha

They are almost the same. With the capsules you are always gonna get the same coffee. I have "mini me" for more than 2 years now and it's very good machine. When you choose automatic which these two are you don't need very expencive one. Mini me does the job but the genio looks better and it's more modern. They both make the same coffee 😁

Some dolce gusto coffee flavors already have milk capsule included like cappuccino, macchiato etc. You first need to use the milk capsule then the coffee capsule

No it didn’t have any problem. Water is yellow because it is way more hot than the water from Mini me

How do we close the genio s plus when we finish making coffee?in mini me we press the button and the machine is closed...but i havent figured how we close the machine in genio s plus...
Actually there’s no off button for Genio S plus . It is an automatic machine and will automatically turn off after 5 mins of not using it. That was our first question too but no power off button really

Yes it has :) it actually has 4 temperature controls

I just didnt take it off yet at that time but now it’s off and I regret taking it off lol the metal is so thin and full of scratches.It doesnt look nice

Does the taste makes any differnce? Using boost feature?
Yes it does. We tried it on a regular coffee capsule and it gave the coffee a more kick. Coffee tastes a bit stronger compared to the one done in Mini Me. Plus the temp control much hotter coffee

Does the nespresso capsules fit?
You need a separate adapter for Nespresso capsules i think. I saw some people bought it but I’m not sure if it really works.

@@TheViajeros hi how hot is the mini me would the coffee be cold if left for 5 minutes? I can get the mini me with 6 boxes £35 or the plus for £69.99 with nothing i like the sound of making it hotter at a touch of a button.
@@robmcgoff449 to tell you honestly yes. It wouldn’t stay hot that long. When we bought the Genio S Plus, we use this even for hot water for tea. But if you’re a fast coffee drinker mini me is still good if you dont really need that boost

You forgot to mention which heats the water more strongly.
Yeah correct. It’s the Genio S plus machine. Coffee stays warm longer in Genio S plus than mini me.
You may also notice in the video that the water in the glass from Genio S plus looks more hot compared to Mini me
Why the water have not the same color?
Because the Genio S Plus produce more hot water compared to the Mini Me that is why color isn’t clear

based on features ofcourse Genio S Plus but the hardware quality of Mini Me is better. Will do a review soon of both Krups machines!

I was looking forward to a Genio S (Plus), because I recently bought a Mini Me as a replacement of a first generation Dolce Gusto machine whicht is getting a bit messy, because it spills a bit milk of the milk capsules in the room above the capsule, but there was not even a needle in the brand new Mini Me to punch the capsule, which makes it a 100% messy machine with water all around and nothing in the capsule. At least I can re-use the capsule because it didn't got punched...
But the plastic on the Mini Me does not feel so good, I need the cup holder on the first elevation, not on the bottom, and it is more or less wobbly there...
