    I have been at my job for 8 months, It started out good than took a turn for the worse. Lots of turn over, It's toxic and nurses yell at everyone and treat you like trash. The higher up's say they are working on change but I don't know if I want to stick around. I got a really nice job offered and have a decision to make by tomorrow evening.

    I hit the like button because you said every thing I’m experiencing. I work in mental health and my mental health is down the drain. I’m applying for county for a different position, away from mental health. Wish me luck!

    Great video. Hits a lot of points that I am facing. Went interviewing and found a job 2 weeks later. More money and a promotion. Much needed for my career satisfaction.

    Yes I am in desperate need of a job change. I checked out a long time ago. I don't get paid enough to sit around wasting my time doing nothing or creating marketing ads when I'm in accounting. Time to get out!

    There is no perfect job that had no stress or challenges. If you think your mental health is suffering or you’re stressed at the job, changing jobs won’t fix it. The grass isn’t always greener. Have to be careful when you leave a stable job. Could end up someplace else you really don’t like.

      This is exactly what stops me quitting my current job. I'm basically using it as a character building exercise. Can't runaway from yourself.

    I’ve been a tech for 7 years. Used car tech for 2. And some days I hate it here. Always asking us to get everything done all at the same time. Having to stay late everyday. Sometimes even coming in on our Saturdays off. Been times where we even come in early doing 12+ hours. They have gotten used to that and it’s become the expectation that when I have one of those days where I want to leave on time , they ask oh why you leaving “early” or “you left “early” yesterday , did you have something to go do?” Like I can’t just leave to go home at the time we get off ?? Idk I feel some days where maybe I shouldn’t be here

    What about of getting paid well but not enough work and room for advancement/challenge? Just sitting around all day and chill and wait for restructurations?

    • @independentconsultant
      @independentconsultant  3 роки тому

      That's a tough one. Depends on your career goals. If you're early in your career, your focus should be to build valuable skills (high salary will be more sustainable once you have the skills). I would try to find something paid similarly but with room for advancement tbh!

      @gainde1137 3 роки тому

      @@independentconsultant yes, in my case I'm already at the end of skill and salary spectrum. No further development possible in my field. Means should aim for climbing the hierarchic latter to earn more...

    Do you know some good entry level jobs to get into change management consulting? Or how do I “break in” into change management consulting. I just recently decided that is a career path I would enjoy taking but have no experience no nothing. I’m a major in business admin concentrating in management so I don’t even know if that major is a good one. I will need to speak to my advisor soon. 😅😅😫🙂

    • @independentconsultant
      @independentconsultant  3 роки тому

      It is a good major! Are you graduating soon? Any entry level job in a corporate setting will be a good start if you can't land into Consulting on your first try. I am thinking like Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Financial Analyst/Planner, etc.
