Bite Apple shame thou i came here for the Pringles maths i thought he’d explain or create some. He’s basically explaining adam savages and vsause video and giving just one example while lacking a lot of entertainment and enthusiasm. There the facts it wasn’t explained as well. I’m fine if it was more creative than added the maths at end but I don’t want saturation.

I have a few questions/suggestions for you: 1. When putting water inside a vacuum, water boils, expands and turns into gas phase due to the surrounding pressure drop; but water also expands when it turns into solid phase, how far can water be compressed, or can it actually be compressed at all? 2. How does salt water make objects float easier, does dissolved salt incease surface tension or the density of water?

This is surprisingly similar to an actual real-life application - the so called Randomes (probably spelled RanDomes) ... they're not main-stream yet even in the Dome-structures circles ... not even sure why they're called RanDome (Google mistakes with Random only 100% of the time :D)
Since most of you are not familiar with Randomes I'll try to describe it.
    Abstract: It's a way to build a dome-shaped self-supporting structure without building a frame.
For comparison a geodesic-dome have a steel or wooden (most often. most materials with high tensile strength will do) frame, and then it's covered with sheets and windows to build a house for example. But in a geo-dome those sheets are only a load, which is held by the frame (acting as a skeleton). Even so called monolithic domes are built by reinforcing concrete with steel frame inside, even though it's not actually needed - an egg is better monolithic dome than what we are building, and it can hold great weight (in a imperfect home experiment a regular egg did hold the weight of 12 Dostoevsky sized books, and paper is about 20% heavier than water!)
Anyway, the Randomes have their sheets build the structure itself. The easiest way to do it is to take some sheets of some material (actually it's a very interesting question what would be the properties of a perfect Randome sheets material), cut them in circles, then cut a small piece in the shape of a thin cake piece (ie starting from the center of the circle, and reaching a small arc at the periphery). Then pull the two edges left by the removed piece together, and connect them (for example bolt them together as several places). The resulting shape would be a Conе with very wide base , and very small height (it actually depends on the curvature of the dome you want to build).
Make enough of these Cones, and then bolt them together at regular (and appropriate) places and they'll naturally form dome-like structure.
You can do this by regular pieces of paper and little glue, and it'll be strong enough to hold it's own weight (I'm curious how much more it can hold).
This is very underdeveloped idea, hence the poor description I give, it certainly can be optimized on every level - sheets material, connection type, Cones shape (perhaps there are better shapes than cones, but they work fine and are really easy to build) etc...
