Bro all he did was bring up his son and dead brother and you say it’s benign? Thats crossing a line. Philly has some frustration’s with Embiid but we are all 1000% on the fuck Marcus Haynes bandwagon
I’m not defending the reporter it may or may not have been over the line. Reasonable people can agree or disagree with that no problem. But you still can’t assault and put your hands on another person. That’s not OK. We have laws and we have a system in this country. we can all have our issues with the system and make fun of that and that’s everyone’s right but the system is still in place. If that reporter said something that is accurate then you talk to that person like an adult like a man you don’t assault them like a child. That’s not what we do in this country, there’s a first amendment. There’s a freedom of the Press. There’s a freedom of speech. If that report and knowingly put false information in the article then you go and sue him for liable and slander. And win a multi million dollar lawsuit. That’s how this works to go off and physically assault a reporter is absolutely unacceptable. In this country if you put your hands on someone you go to jail it’s a simple as that.
@ maybe not but everything else I said there is accurate. And the only reason he wouldn’t hear is because the reporter wouldn’t want to file charges and bring it there. But he could if you wanted too. There’s nothing OK about what the reporter wrote just to be clear. But there’s also nothing OK about putting your hands on someone else.
From ChatGPT: In journalism, referencing personal tragedies, such as the loss of a family member, requires careful consideration to avoid causing additional distress. The Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics advises journalists to "balance the public’s need for information against potential harm or discomfort" and to "show compassion for those who may be affected by news coverage." In the case of Marcus Hayes' article about Joel Embid, the inclusion of references to Embid's deceased brother and son in a critical context may be seen as crossing an ethical line. Such personal details, when used to critique professional performance, can be perceived as insensitive and may not serve a clear public interest. Journalists are encouraged to handle personal tragedies with empathy and to consider the potential impact on the individuals involved.
8:28 this is a point that illedelpha "fans" so often seem to overlook - Joel is "the Process" because the team and management have continually drafted either the wrong players, or traded away the draft picks they got right. The list is long on decent "contributor" players that the 76ers gave up ; Shamet, Ty Jerome, Paul Reed, Isiah Joe, David Roddy, all being recent examples. Then there is the disastrous trade for Tobias Harris (who I've liked since my Magic signed him, but they gave up too much to get him and too much to resign him - and he is now gone, like so many others).
didn't the Embiid talk with the media happen before the incident, if so why did the columnist even have a media pass, and why were they even allowed to be in the locker room, knowing Joel was upset about the column, 76ers organization should've and could've prevented this.
No he is not a "victim". He is a hard worker, but his size and activities have indeed taken a toll on his body. Philly can be a difficult place for sports stars and local "celebrities" - they even booed Santa Claus at a game...
Personally Speaking: This started with the Knicks Series n the Playoffs n the Fact the Knicks Fans LITERALLY took over Philly all 3 Playoff Games there🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️.. Yes he's Injury Prone, BUT he's a Great Player, n that's why Embiid gets the Cache he Has UNTIL a line was crossed N Oh Yeah, Why didn't he get suspended for PUTTING HANDS on Any1?
Come to NY Joel. We'll treat you marginally better and hold you to an even higher standard even though we have no cause to expect any standard. Guess the grass isnt always greener. He just honestly needs to say less. Don't mention strategically missing games ever. Justified or not, do not mention it. If you're out you're hurt, period. Philly fans aren't owed anything, look to your Team President and Owner if you want to assign blame.

Exactly mention my dead brother and see how fast it goes bad for everyone

Because we have something called the first amendment in this country. Freedom of the Press.

Your legacy as a dad is to be a good dad and help your kid be a better man than you. Narcissistic behavior.
Yeah, you have no idea what narcissism is and it shows.
Dan sympathy for millionaire athletes is truly insane lol.
You thinking you can say anything you want to anyone that worth millions dollars is insane.
