@@nickalvizoanother thing I noticed looking at videos is depending on the series of cartridge, the start up sound is different. Standard LeapPad cartridges will play the standard LeapPad startup jingle, while cartridges branded as Quantum Leap will play the Quantum Leap startup sound.

Just out of curiosity, is the quantum pad compatible with the other mainstream LeapPad programs or does only work with its own books and cartridges?
Yes actually, both systems works with each other’s cartridges, so LeapPad works with QuantumPad cartridges & QuantumPad works with LeapPad cartridges
