GOD seeing the heart animation and steam effects come together in this is SO cool to see, really glad to have worked on them for you guys! This ep was really next level work and im excited to see just how well you guys handle future eps and arcs!
The small touch of having the Joy Boy allusion via a beat, but having it so subtle only someone who watched/read/wikied ahead would know, is a veeery nice touch.
Damn, they actually made Arlong Park DARKER!! At least in the original, Nami only pretended to betray the village to buy their freedom. Here, Arlong brainwashed her with racial propaganda!! Also, aww Hatchi tried to save her!!😢
26:29 - 33:10 what the plot hole is this ? So nami thinks her mom got killed ditching her or nami knows arlong killed her for putting a gun in his mouth
