Hi everyone! Today I present to you a really simple recipe with only 2 ingredients! Incredibly crunchy and delicious potato croquettes, they are perfect for an aperitif or appetizer. All you need is potatoes and a little cornstarch! These potato croquettes are very tasty and also very beautiful to look at! If you want to surprise your guests, this recipe is perfect for you! You can enjoy them as an appetizer with your favorite sauces! Kids love them too! I suggest you try these beautiful and crunchy fried potato croquettes and I'm sure you will like them!

This is a great idea, I love to cook potatoes in all kinds of ways, I will try it, but will not deep fry it, I will use the air fryer, i have the Ninja Foodi grill, I have done french fries in it. 👌

-- Many, time-consuming steps.
-- FOUR ingredients,,,,,,,,,,,NOT two, as title advertises.
-- And after all that laborious effort: deep fried, in LOTS and LOTS of oil (and no mention of the specific oil used.)
I mean, if all you wanted was "crunchy potatoes", you could save all this work, and just deep fry a bunch of thinly sliced raw potatoes,,,,,,,,i.e. "french fries"!!!
Really,,,,,,,,,,,anything tastes crunchy and good if you deep fry it. No, magical "cooking secret" revealed here.
The REAL secret would be to make tasty, crunchy potatoes WITHOUT all the unhealthy deep frying.
.......And, oh yeah,,,,,,,,,what do you do with all that oil afterward???

In Ukraine, this recipe for potatoes is called zrazy... only it is made in a different shape.
our grandmothers also made potatoes this way, in Ukraine it refers to Ukrainian national cuisine.
It will be even tastier if u put the filling in the potato dough (stewed cabbage in tomato sauce or meat filling).. 💙💛
In the Belgian heritage, add nutmeg to the mash. The problem can be to keep the filling together, but if you rest the made croquettes overnight, freezing a 5-6cm stick of the filling and forming the croquette around that means the filling will thaw before you cook.

Well…it’s a lazy Saturday morning in Pennsylvania, USA. I’m propped up in bed watching your intriguing video. But now I’m inspired to get out of bed to try this recipe. I have it all; potatoes, cornstarch, salt, oil, and the citrus juicer thingee. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
6:06 pm est Monday. I finally made these. They turned out pretty well. The exterior was crispy with a creamy interior. Delicious to be sure, but clearly it will take a little practice to get the shape just right since the center didn’t brown. I found if I flattened the shape a little the concave center browned more easily.
This is a Southern Dish as well. My mother used Flour instead of Cornstarch to bind it together than she would form the patties by hand. Although your method makes them more attractive. We typically had these if there was left over mashed potatoes from another meal.
The cornstarch helps with the crunch too, I think. 😊😊

Maths isn't my strong suit but I count 4 ingredients not "Only 2 ingredients!":-
- 6 medium potatoes
- 4-5 tablespoons of corn starch
- Salt
- Oil
That’s a long-standing internet tradition: claim that a recipe has 2 ingredients and everyone will watch to see how many there really are. Usually it is 19 so 4 is pretty honest by UA-cam standards.
Cornstarch to already starchy potato, since it thickens, like I use in other recipes, of course.
But definitely will try this recipe 😊
