my wife and i met kip and reb backstage in huntsville alabama . they were so cool . the best guys you could ever meet . i gave my dads police badge to kip . he means a lot to us . they are more talented than even bonjovi and all 80s bands . reb is a guitar master . rod and paul are to . kip has one hell of a resume . look it up .
Kip still has his voice since he wasn’t touring crazy like Journey or Bon Jovi, etc… which also means they aren’t as mainstream. But one can argue they would blow away those other bands live.
They sound great! Not that I am surprised because they were always one of the best live bands. If it wasn't for the big grundge movement out of Seattle these guys would have been as big as Poison, GNR, you name it.
Underrated? Yes! Master musicians? Yes! Glad the band was back together for this. But Kip is a genius. And? Reb is a killer on every level. So damn great!
Rod is a monster makes that dude in Metallica look like an amateur… then again, Lars doesn’t care anyway… probably has more $ than any of Winger’s members. That’s all he has… tho…
I wonder why they didn't play any new stuff, also they got off stage in a hurry originally they were slotted to play 1 1/2 hours and only played 50 min????
@@JeffG929 maybe he’s frustrated that his voice went out, you could tell in the other songs he had john roth do the vocals in the higher registers and pointed at him to do so. John looked surprised and seemed that wasn’t in the plan for the evening…😂… just speculating but we’re not getting any younger and sometimes the voice craps out at shitty times
He was probably having a hard time singing...rather than sound like shit, and disappoint, he did his best...try doing this shit night after night, unless you are Rob Halford it ain't happening.
They always had 2. Paul Taylor and Reb first, then John and Reb. Paul's back and usually plays the keyboards as well, which Kip played live when Paul wasn't touring with them.
My first point is that Winger,not being a highly instrumentally focused progressive rock band,has no need for three guitarists. My second point is that with a truly gifted guitarist in Reb Beach,the need for any other guitarist in the band is nullified. That sparky is whats wrong with me.

Kip was the hot guy of the 80s, he still looks good. Saw him a year ago with Quiet Riot.
Dude is like 60… or near it… the whole band doesn’t really have a belly like some of the other bands…
