Go a bit further into town. Parking is free by the library. We did a couple of days in Lake Geneva, staying at the Ridge Hotel and golfing at Geneva National two days. Met a great couple from St. Louis, MO and had drinks with them two days. Lake Geneva is beautiful. Don't forget to do the boat tour around the lake. Big Foot Beach did not used to have a fence around the park. It's hard to swim in that area anymore. Go over to the beach by the library.
You need to Kayak the lake early in the morning prior to the boat restriction otherwise they call it the washboard effect. The lake has crystal clear water which provide the scenery.
I have been there, used to live there, a poor east ender condo owner. I would pull over and unload quickly and then walk back from the St. Park to my inflatable. Early or late during the week near shore or you get run off the lake.
LOL... "FiB's" WOW ! pretty busy place ? lotsa development over the decades from the history I guess. Hope the knee's are mending well..... THX for sharing ! Won't let me click the 'like' button for some reason ?
Knees are getting better every day, thanks for asking! Yes, too busy a lake for my taste. Maybe way off season on a weekday would be nice. Strange on the like button. Thanks for watching!
I love the historic architecture of some of the older homes, but I look at some of these monstrosities on my home lake and I just think… why? I’ll stick to a bit more of a natural environment.
What I have done in the past with lakes like this, is to paddle them very early in the morning at crack of dawn, to avoid most boats, it’s also more likely to be calm then. You should try Turtle Lake in Walworth County, that’s got a nice state wildlife area as part of its shoreline. It used to have a water skiing restriction (Memorial Day to Labor Day only), but not sure if it still does or not.
Again nice Video and one more Day of awesome kayaking. It looks like it takes a lot of Ruff waves to keep you off the lakes. You don’t have to worry about the Audio watching you Kayaking teaches Us A lot. Hope you body parts heal quickly. Sugar try extra Protein Shake after a Kayak trip. Well take care be Safe. Can you do a winter video of your Weather you are having?
Midwest winter is just depressing cold and grey! Fortunately I’ve got a few more trips from 2023 to edit I will live vicariously through until it warms up enough for me to get out there again.
Lake Geneva has many other free kayak launch locations. two are on the south end of the lake and another is directly north of both of them. Generally Wisconsin dose not charge a fee for Kayak launches.
If I’m launching at a power boat launch, I pay launch fees but you are correct, typically no fees at exclusively a canoe/kayak launch. Good to know there are other options on the lake.
I haven’t been there in years but I remember it being beautiful. Nature as it was meant to be. I’ll try to get there again this year. Thanks for watching!
I would imagine on a weekday at sunrise would be great. Despite the heavy traffic and population, I was pleasantly surprised how clean and clear the water appeared.
I was just about to put an apology in the description on this one for the audio. Forgive me as there’s definitely a learning curve being a newbie at this! There WILL be a mic in anything I video going forward but I still have so much video to edit from last season. Better quality to come! Thanks for watching anyway. 😊
Good news--have discovered that it's possible to customize the monthly membership pledge to you. Details are on your new platform's direct message section, from Trainrider. Take care of those healing knees.
Wow! I am so appreciative of your support! Thank you! I’m healing well, thanks for the well wishes. I’ll be back out there in the spring stronger than ever. Until then I still have more from 2023 to get out there. Working on one that I LOVED. Stay tuned. 😊

Thanks for the tips! I hope to get there in the off season and hit Lake Como too.

I would love to see Lake Geneva in the early morning hours when the water is like glass!

I’d love to experience it again when it’s not so busy.
Before Memorial day/after Labor day...stay safe.

FIBS spend a lot of money in Wisconsin. I live in Illinois and Wisconsin and know how much Wisconsin benefits from tourists.
@@rpredl I proudly still consider myself a FIB! I was one of those tourists before I made it permanent.
I feel the same way about huge homes around our lakes too. You might get an air horn if you keep paddling busy water. Thanks!

Don't know if you've canoed the Flambeau river in Northern Wisconsin. If not....please add that to your 2024 trip. As always, nice video.

Fishing is actually decent here, but the traffic is insane

there is a mail boat that delivers on the lake, and there are videos of it
I thought so! How cool!
once again I advise to put a mic closer to you on shirt of life preserver , so we can hear you

I don’t mind the size of Lake Geneva, it’s how busy it was I didn’t care for.
You re a pretty newbie so all is forgiven and I subscribed

She’s so pretty
Isn’t she though? Her name is Salacia. She’s. 17’7” long and made of Kevlar, weighs just 50 pounds. A real beauty.
@@Redkayaklady you and the kayak lol
You paddled past Illinois governors place. Pritzker. I know the pier number.
@@erics8696 Cool! I would have highlighted that if I knew. He’s not the one that shot the dog is he? 😆
@@Redkayaklady No. That was South Dakota's governor.
@@Redkayaklady it's the one with a boathouse that looks like a boat.
