I live at a 4, with exercise. Without, omfg. I am NEVER without pain somewhere: hypermobility from childhood with various ankle, knee, hip, pelvis, shoulder, elbow and wrist/hand pains, strains & sprains; spine issues with radiating pain down legs dx 2001 accident; fibromyalgia dx 2002; , systemic lupus erythematosus dx last month and gallbladder removal (it was adhesed to my small intestine). My fascia actively constricts and I have to stretch for hours in the morning before I can move with decent mobility. I must move through pain or the normal 4 is a minimum 6.
I do understand about the sharp pain, though. Ty for this, Beth.

These are so helpful. Anything you can offer for CCI and EDS is greatly appreciated. 🐦‍⬛

Another way of locating the transverse abdominus muscles is to cough. Coughing will allow you to feel the muscle activate.
