I only played with Sims 3 and Sims 4 (I'm sad sims 4 does not have a timeline connected to the others), but sims 2 looks dark af. Why is almost everyone are so shady, and weird?
I have all the games except the original one, and by far Sim 2 is the most scandalous and creepy. If you make a sim and try to connect them to the original characters storylines, there's so much you can do. The Sim 3 and 4 are trash compared to 2. I think the newer games focus on graphics and want them out quicker so they don't spend much one the storylines anymore but that's the charm of the Sims 2.

Plus, it seems that so much of the stuff on Sims 3 and 4, ie. objects, supernatural sims, concepts, are just copies from The Sims 2 with not enough difference to justify their existence in the newer games. Huh.. Well My theory is that Skip killed himself... Dark I know, but lemme explain.. As you mentioned Brandi prolly got some money from Skips death. What if that was his intention? Him and Brandi were expecting a third child, they dont have money, and theres no way to raise 3 kids. Convienently theres a small pool Skip made for the kids to spoil them just a little... And knowing his death would bring some money to the family, he took off the ladder, to not have an urge or way to climb out and jumped into the pool, letting himself drown for the sake of his family. That used to happen in my country long ago... And since sims dont have to pay for burials it seems fitting.. Its a better theory than just "the devs wanted to" anyway...
I agree with this. In my mind though I also pictured him sick with cancer even though sims don't get cancer. Like he was going to die anyways. Just wanted to hurry it up and provide for his family. He removed the ladder and jumped in.

Some of expencive things in the house, his older son works in the Criminal career (also he lost fight with burglar Gordon King (and maybe than they became friends, cause Dustin wanted to know who kill his father (or he was involved in the death of his father)). The younger Skip's son Beau have "Beau finds it hard to escape his genetic destiny" in his biography what can also mean that Beau could be like his brother (and maybe father) in his future (also he has a hidden Knowledge Aspiration token, sims with this aspiration often want to work in Criminal career). (in Spanish version Beau name is Ícaro (Icarus, Greek myth) who fell and drowned).

Also the far-fetched theory is that the robber stealed the pool's stairs while Skip was in it, maybe, resulting in his tragic death. (because climbing the pool's border is too difficult, right ?)

Also, Dustin was actually born when Brandi was a teenager, making it impossible through normal gameplay for him to be born. Lastly, the discrepancy between Beau and Brandi’s third child. I think she travelled back in time so that she could have one more memory of Skip after he died and in doing so she accidentally got pregnant again, the product of that being her third child

Then the imposter Skip took the place of his victim to be with Brandi. Brandi, knowing that her husband was murdered, killed the green eyed imposter out of revenge or maybe she didn't even know that her husband was killed and killed the green eyed Skip anyway,because she wanted to collect Skips life ensurance. That could be the reason, why they start of with over 20000 simoleons, when first played.
I am recently OBSESSED with your channel and these mysteries, I used to spend hours and hours just reading each sims’ memories.. I miss that so much with the sims 2! I love how in depth you go, it spooks me out but I can’t get enough it’s crazy!! I think this is my favorite theory of yours! I started playing The Sims 2 when I was in elementary school. I remember thinking it was sooo weird that the Brokes had such a tiny pool. The funny thing is, they seem to live in a mobile home. I've never seen a mobile home with its own pool before!

First of all, I really enjoy your SimFacts videos. Nobody is doing something like this on UA-cam, so kudos for your originality. However, something that you have to keep in mind for future videos is to avoid mixing game lore with the developers' intention. Even if they killed him to make that inside joke, the explanation/theory should be found within the game lore and not by predicting the developers' motivations. Is that clear? My theory is that his wife killed him for insurance money, which would explain the expensive furniture she has and the extra money. It could also be that she was pregnant with another man's child since as you pointed out the dates don't add up. In any case, this is one of the most interesting mysteries in TS2 and it really makes me miss the good old days where the game actually had a lore (in the Sims 3 is pretty vague, and almost inexistent in TS4).

Just discovering these videos and I love them! Also, I always thought the small pool on the Broke’s lot was the Sims 2 version of an above ground pool. Which are usually significantly smaller than on built into the ground. I knew a lot of lower class families that had these while growing up. I actually love the idea that Maxis prolly killed Skip via pool without the ladder as a nod to us simmers who did that in the first game. But the fact that created two Skips for that household is peculiar and allows the simmers who love storylines to wonder what the hell happened there. Is there an imposter Skip? Was the original Skip actually murdered? I love it.

My Theory is that someone wanted Brandi to kill the blue eyed Skip for a lot of money. Brandi needed the money in order to raise her sons and decided to somehow make a clone or find a doppelgänger for Skip and kill him instead, that would be the green eyed Skip. After the green eyed Skip was dead and Brandi got the money, the blue eyed Skip decided to leave, because he was supposed to be dead. He left after a last night with Brandi (woohoo!) and hasn't come back since. This is only a more creative way of seeing things, this theory surely has some plot holes.
Hey, if you look at the tiles surrounding the pool, you may notice that they bear a resemblance to pools in the Sims 1, in which they automatically generated a grey tile border around the pool. The size of the pool, which is a 3x3, is also the ideal pool size if a player wants to drown a sim. Alongside the lack of a pool ladder, these points strengthen the argument that Maxis/EA offed Skip as a reference to people drowning their sims in tiny pools in the Sims 1. Poor Brandi, her loving husband was killed off as an inside joke by Maxis for players who have previously played Sims 1.
I'd say the light blue eyed Skip Broke is the true father of Dustin and Beau Broke, since both Brandi and Dustin have memories of him, although neither Dustin nor Beau have genetics for light blue eyes. Neither of them have genetics for black hair or grey eyes, come to that. Brandi only has one memory of meeting the green eyed Skip, and the unresurrectable Skip has a lower NID, meaning that he was created before the resurrectable Skip. While Brandi's third child doesn't inherit any of the resurrectable Skip's genetics, we can safely give him credit as the father of Brandi's third child, which will always be male, unless Skip's genetic file is re-linked. Another difference is their voices. The unresurrectable Skip is voiced by David Boat while the resurrectable Skip is voiced by Stephen Kearin.
When you showed the pictures of Brandi pregnant, Dustin's birthday and her in labor with beau. The second and 3rd picture are in their family story thing. The first one isn't. Where is that picture from? Also every picture is in their house. It looks identical to the kitchen in game.

As soon as I first played as the Brokes, Brandy died within the first day just randomly. Then I moved Dustin and Beau into that huge casa mansion and got Beau into private school. Good times..
my theory for the real skip is that saga is dustins father and kim is boo’s father. I once played as that family and aged up boo and I noticed he had a much narrower face and smaller nose like kims. and Dustin’s face is wider and his nose is a bit bigger like sagas
I know people have theories about this and they're fascinating, but I always figured this was a joke household by the dev team. (They were aware how people liked to kill Sims in pools so killed Skip in the same manner. Brandi has nice things but she could've used a money cheat.) It is really cool to know how much changed with the localization in other regions though!
this is why i love the previous sims games better than the SIms 4. there are inside jokes and easter eggs that you have to actually explore the game to unravel. each premade family already comes with a history. I don't feel that kind of intricate story in the sims 4, the (living) sims just seem to take up space. And the theory that the SIms 4 takes place in an alternat timeline where nothing went wrong kind of fits its lack of storytelling.
I really believe that Brandi had an affair with the green eyed Skip and decided to kill him so the blue eyed Skip wouldn't find out. That explains why the unborn baby has gray eyes and why Dustin and Brandi have a rocky relationship with each other.
I know its just a game but that's so sad. I was about to cry when I read about them in game and now they're my favorite. However, Dustin and Brandi are best friends now and Skip is resurrected in my game
Now that the sims 5 is on the way I'm rewatching these series 🤗 Love them! As for Skip Broke, he was probably digging to find treasure and found a source instead 😅 time "bugs" could be due to time traveling OR elixir of life

My theory is that skip is a time traveler, Saga is the skip we are used to but considering when he was a kid in Sims 3 time traveling was a thing Saga been given one (almost having the family go bankrupt) and told people of the future to travel to shortly before the exact time that he was told by the people he would supposedly have died so he could live in the future, have a child (who was green eyed after his wife)and teach that child to go to the past, die, be resurrected and take Saga’s place... it’s really obvious. BUT THAT’S JUST A THEORY, A SIMS THEORY!
These are so cool! There is so much information I feel like there could be a whole TV show about all these different original families. The Goths, The Pleasants, The Specters, and The Lotharios being the the main characters. Other families would have to be there too to flesh it all out.
Well my theory what happened to Skip Broke was that Bob or Betty owned the house somewhat before the game starts where Brandi lives now. And what could of happend was that they didn't get there pool ladder in yet and what might of happened is that Skip was stupid enough to get in and drown himself to death.
maybe Skip has an evil twin which is the other look alike but when the evil twin found out that his brother has a pretty wife and 2 sons he got jealous Brandi never knew skip had a twin so the evil twin decided he would kill his bother and take his spot thats why "skip" died before beaus birth but when beau was almost a child other Skip kept messing up on what his brother would think and say to the children and Brandi and Dustin figured out that this wasn't dad before mum and he decided he would put a stop to it and killed him in the pool but then he knew his mum needs help so he covered up the crime and made it look like he killed himself so Dustin can help raise Beau and his mum and the EVIL offspring so only Dustin knows what really happened that night
This is why I love sims 2. They focused so hard on the stories behind the families so it makes a fun gaming experience.

I think this is my favorite theory of yours! I started playing The Sims 2 when I was in elementary school. I remember thinking it was sooo weird that the Brokes had such a tiny pool. The funny thing is, they seem to live in a mobile home. I've never seen a mobile home with its own pool before!

First of all, I really enjoy your SimFacts videos. Nobody is doing something like this on UA-cam, so kudos for your originality. However, something that you have to keep in mind for future videos is to avoid mixing game lore with the developers' intention. Even if they killed him to make that inside joke, the explanation/theory should be found within the game lore and not by predicting the developers' motivations. Is that clear?
My theory is that his wife killed him for insurance money, which would explain the expensive furniture she has and the extra money. It could also be that she was pregnant with another man's child since as you pointed out the dates don't add up. In any case, this is one of the most interesting mysteries in TS2 and it really makes me miss the good old days where the game actually had a lore (in the Sims 3 is pretty vague, and almost inexistent in TS4).

Also, I always thought the small pool on the Broke’s lot was the Sims 2 version of an above ground pool. Which are usually significantly smaller than on built into the ground. I knew a lot of lower class families that had these while growing up.
I actually love the idea that Maxis prolly killed Skip via pool without the ladder as a nod to us simmers who did that in the first game.
But the fact that created two Skips for that household is peculiar and allows the simmers who love storylines to wonder what the hell happened there.
Is there an imposter Skip?
Was the original Skip actually murdered?

This is so unique! I honestly never thought about the history of the places or people in the sims. I just assumed it was all a joke and random but these videos are so interesting to find there are real stories behind everything! Keep it up! Awesome work!

My Theory is that someone wanted Brandi to kill the blue eyed Skip for a lot of money. Brandi needed the money in order to raise her sons and decided to somehow make a clone or find a doppelgänger for Skip and kill him instead, that would be the green eyed Skip. After the green eyed Skip was dead and Brandi got the money, the blue eyed Skip decided to leave, because he was supposed to be dead. He left after a last night with Brandi (woohoo!) and hasn't come back since.
This is only a more creative way of seeing things, this theory surely has some plot holes.
But didn't the skip that died have blue eyes?

Hey, if you look at the tiles surrounding the pool, you may notice that they bear a resemblance to pools in the Sims 1, in which they automatically generated a grey tile border around the pool. The size of the pool, which is a 3x3, is also the ideal pool size if a player wants to drown a sim. Alongside the lack of a pool ladder, these points strengthen the argument that Maxis/EA offed Skip as a reference to people drowning their sims in tiny pools in the Sims 1. Poor Brandi, her loving husband was killed off as an inside joke by Maxis for players who have previously played Sims 1.
In the sims 3, there is a book called murder in pleasantview, the story of the Skip Broke's Death
I'd say the light blue eyed Skip Broke is the true father of Dustin and Beau Broke, since both Brandi and Dustin have memories of him, although neither Dustin nor Beau have genetics for light blue eyes. Neither of them have genetics for black hair or grey eyes, come to that. Brandi only has one memory of meeting the green eyed Skip, and the unresurrectable Skip has a lower NID, meaning that he was created before the resurrectable Skip. While Brandi's third child doesn't inherit any of the resurrectable Skip's genetics, we can safely give him credit as the father of Brandi's third child, which will always be male, unless Skip's genetic file is re-linked. Another difference is their voices. The unresurrectable Skip is voiced by David Boat while the resurrectable Skip is voiced by Stephen Kearin.
Maybe Brandi killed Skip to have an affair with he other one.
When you showed the pictures of Brandi pregnant, Dustin's birthday and her in labor with beau. The second and 3rd picture are in their family story thing. The first one isn't. Where is that picture from? Also every picture is in their house. It looks identical to the kitchen in game.
Not saying anything you have is wrong. That's just what I think.

The only thing that ever bugged me about the Broke family was that tiny ass in-ground pool. I think the fact that it was so small bugged me more than the missing ladder :-P

So is the correct Sims order Sims 3, Sims 1, Sims 2 and Sims 4 being another world? Never knew there was a time line like this within the Sims games. So glad I stumbled upon these, makes the Sims that much more enjoyable!!

As soon as I first played as the Brokes, Brandy died within the first day just randomly. Then I moved Dustin and Beau into that huge casa mansion and got Beau into private school. Good times..

my theory for the real skip is that saga is dustins father and kim is boo’s father. I once played as that family and aged up boo and I noticed he had a much narrower face and smaller nose like kims. and Dustin’s face is wider and his nose is a bit bigger like sagas
I know people have theories about this and they're fascinating, but I always figured this was a joke household by the dev team. (They were aware how people liked to kill Sims in pools so killed Skip in the same manner. Brandi has nice things but she could've used a money cheat.) It is really cool to know how much changed with the localization in other regions though!

this is why i love the previous sims games better than the SIms 4. there are inside jokes and easter eggs that you have to actually explore the game to unravel. each premade family already comes with a history. I don't feel that kind of intricate story in the sims 4, the (living) sims just seem to take up space. And the theory that the SIms 4 takes place in an alternat timeline where nothing went wrong kind of fits its lack of storytelling.
I really believe that Brandi had an affair with the green eyed Skip and decided to kill him so the blue eyed Skip wouldn't find out. That explains why the unborn baby has gray eyes and why Dustin and Brandi have a rocky relationship with each other.
I know its just a game but that's so sad. I was about to cry when I read about them in game and now they're my favorite. However, Dustin and Brandi are best friends now and Skip is resurrected in my game

My theory is that skip is a time traveler, Saga is the skip we are used to but considering when he was a kid in Sims 3 time traveling was a thing Saga been given one (almost having the family go bankrupt) and told people of the future to travel to shortly before the exact time that he was told by the people he would supposedly have died so he could live in the future, have a child (who was green eyed after his wife)and teach that child to go to the past, die, be resurrected and take Saga’s place... it’s really obvious. BUT THAT’S JUST A THEORY, A SIMS THEORY!
These are so cool! There is so much information I feel like there could be a whole TV show about all these different original families. The Goths, The Pleasants, The Specters, and The Lotharios being the the main characters. Other families would have to be there too to flesh it all out.

Well my theory what happened to Skip Broke was that Bob or Betty owned the house somewhat before the game starts where Brandi lives now. And what could of happend was that they didn't get there pool ladder in yet and what might of happened is that Skip was stupid enough to get in and drown himself to death.
maybe Skip has an evil twin which is the other look alike but when the evil twin found out that his brother has a pretty wife and 2 sons he got jealous Brandi never knew skip had a twin so the evil twin decided he would kill his bother and take his spot thats why "skip" died before beaus birth but when beau was almost a child other Skip kept messing up on what his brother would think and say to the children and Brandi and Dustin figured out that this wasn't dad before mum and he decided he would put a stop to it and killed him in the pool but then he knew his mum needs help so he covered up the crime and made it look like he killed himself so Dustin can help raise Beau and his mum and the EVIL offspring so only Dustin knows what really happened that night
