Bastianini deserves the latest spec factory bike more than Marini in the next season. Gresini can do as good as Pramac, they just need the bike. Bastianini is the next Zarco to come out of Ducati's stable.

Exactly. I thinking this is being really underplayed. When was the last time a rookie put a 2 year old satellite bike on the podium? Genuinely I want to know because I think this performance is one of the best in years.
@@Rycerz49 perspective; he is under contract directly with Ducati and that 2019 bike is fast; he was faster than Pecco on the 2021 bike and actually did the fastest lap of any rider in the field; so, he had the best bike on the day, likely due to making the most of very good tyre grip, as he knows the track very well, living near the track in Rimini.
@@petesmitt The fact each rider builds a bond with a specific track/circuit, amazes me every time. I on the other hand is yet to get familiarize with the pits on the road that I am travelling for the last 5 years or so.

Time and time again it is proven that nepotism doesnt work in motogp, unless you are the espargaro brothers
If next year, Marini gets the factory bike simply because he is the brother of Rossi next year rather than Bestia. Then, I think Ducati can never win a championship. Bestia has outshone Marini at pretty much all races this year.

The regs don’t change much, Dovi also is on a 2 year old Bike witch Franky drove before he got Injured. As long as the technical regs don’t change it’s fine.
The Bikes don’t come out of Ducati’s ears, not a premium bike but absolutely set up for the Rider to get this performance. Congratulations …
💰Money, He's a Rookie, and let's not forget what do they really mean when they say two year old bike if Technically all the bikes except the Aprilia's are using the same motor Due to the Pandemic.
@@Gcanno correct; and after 2 years, they have fine tuned the 2019 chassis really well.
I still think Jorge Martin is better than him... We have to see him do more. There are times when a rider is lucky of course. Remember all of the MotoGP riders are professional, they all get a potential to be on a podium.
Martin still has a sore right leg from his crash injuries; then being crashed into by Marc didn't help matters; he wrecked his right ankle, as well as his left knee; hopefully he will fully recover from the operations to repair the damage.
