TY for the stories.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for watching my video. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
awesome looking build sir very cool detail painting
Thanks for watching my video. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
I love the Willey's jeep. When I was a teenager my dad was in the 377th TAACOM and him and a few officers let me drive that jeep around the parking lot of the Army Reserve Center at New Orleans at the Lakefront..I had a blast. Easiest vehicle I ever drove..
Yep! Jeep are fun to drive. Maybe you can buy a Jeep like it and relive some of your happy memories 😀😀. Thanks for watching my video. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
Very good job qdc!!!
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for watching my video. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
A Great Build! I drove one of these in High School. Mine was a 48' out of Korea. Someone had painted it a hideous Blue. I loved it but had to leave it behind when I moved to Colorado. I plan on getting myself another one when I retire here soon. 'Warning, the Vehicle's Maximum Speed is 45 mph' ;o)
Sorry for the late reply. Wow, I hope you get to buy another Jeep just like the 1948 version! I could never afford to buy a World War Two Jeep. The last time I looked, a perfectly restored Jeep cost almost $40,000.00! Thanks for watching my video. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank. Take care and I hope you will buy that Jeep one of these days! 😀😀
Love the build and your chosen colour.
Thanks for watching my video. I went to my local art museum and noticed that the fine arts there had many paintings which had many layers of transparent paint. I simply used that old technique onto this kit and I like the results. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
That's where the Jeepneys of the Philippines came from
Great build
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for watching my video.
Nice Jeep, with a color that's something different for a change 👍
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, yellow is a different than the normal military colors I gotten so used to painting with. Thanks! My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
My great uncle actually owns a 1952 Willys Jeep. She's all rusted and will probably never run again due to a transmission problem. But a very cool piece of history nonetheless. Fantastic job by the way, sir!
Thanks for your story. Maybe one of these days, the old Jeep can be restored again. There are a lot of resources out there 😀😀
love your jeep build i have made the same kit and i also have a number of ww2 jeeps full size
Wow!!! You are a Jeep lover. That's great. Thank you for watching my video. I honestly appreciate it. 😀😀
Very nice build. Those splashes of red on the rims and Jerry cans really adds to the whole look. Using red and white for the highlights really works. Very inspiring. I want to build one too.
Thanks for watching my video. I was experimenting on using layers of paint on this project. Layering paints is something I'm beginning to like.
Classic kit and a classic subject. Nicely done Colin and what a great back story too. Very much enjoyed the video
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks. It's a good kit that's well worth building again. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
Good video. Saludos
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for watching my video. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
I have five Tamyia jeeps in my collection of various types. It's one of my favorite models.
Sorry for the late reply. Wow. I hope you will have a chance to build them one of these days. Thank you for watching my video. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank. Take care. 😀😀
@@qdc748a They are all built. I was able to make different versions for each one. I used the same Tamiya Jeep model for each one.
Looks great I love the paint job must try this kit myself stay safe my friend all the best from here in the UK
Sorry for the late reply. I went to my local art museum and I noticed that the fine art is painted with many layers of transparent paint. I thought I just try it out on my kits. It may work for you too. My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
Another great looking model of yours and the history behind it is very interesting too.. :) I have the Heller Jeep in 1/35, it is considered a very bad kit by most modelers, but that's why I bought it, as sometimes I like a challenge.. :) I will most likely build it for the WWII Group Build later in the year.. :)
I'm looking forward to seeing that! 😀😀
Looks very realistic Awesome build & paint especially!
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for watching my video. I was trying some new techniques.
very nice! i like the story behind it also :) Since your last video, I also created two videos. theyre not perfect, but im learning along the way
before the metamorphesis, I was "Sven V." that was constantly commenting on your vids :D
Sorry for the late reply. I just watched your two videos. The TPz Fuchs EloKa looks good so far. Once it's finished, I'm sure it will look great. 😀😀 My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank. Take care.
I builded the exact same kit recently and I'm also passionate about the Willys but I confess that I was completely unaware of that design flaw on the steering rods. Very nice build. Thanks a lot for sharing. If you want, you can take a peek on a 0:42 showcase video that I have here on my channel.
I just watched it! Your version of the Jeep looks great!
@@qdc748a Thank you so much.
@@PGNogueira You're welcome.
Another iconic classic! 😍
I really like the tonal variation that you achieve with your multicoloured preshading technique.
I've seen you doing this for quite some time now - maybe since the HMS Belfast? (If memory serves me correctly 🤔).
Did you learn this from someone else, or was it something that you discovered through a bit of experimentation?
Please give Buster a scratch for us 😸👍
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, this is a bit more of the experimental side of things. I've been visiting my local art museum lately and I notice the subtle layers of paint used in fine art. I simply put what I learned from fine art into this Jeep. Yes, I will scratch Buster for you! 😁😁
Absolutely fantastic work. I too have a special fondness of the Willys as my Dad drove it when he was serving in the Air Force. He used to take my sis and me for off roads in the jeep many times. You did a great job in bringing out the weathered look. Quick question, did you leave out the headlamps and front indicators on purpose?
Thanks for sharing your story. Sorry I forgot to add the headlights.
Excelente muito bom 👍
Thank you.
QDC! I've been watching you for centuries now but you're starting to look like Yoda. Hope you're doing well.
🤣🤣
The unboxing and build starts at 6:15.
Yes, it was a long intro. 😁😁
Pls build some 1/700 ship model kit
well lo looking good thare but no buter the co star give his help well thare nest time see in that new vid
its been a while, Q!
Sorry for the late reply. I don't build my kits as fast as I used to but I still have fun doing it! My next project will be building Hobby Boss Leopard Two tank.
I have this kit its a good one.
Im a warbird artist i would like to share my drawings with you is there a way i could do that?
You can post it on UA-cam.
Great model and thanks by share some of your personal experience, the human side always is a very important part in a model and in general in the life, Go ahead!!!
Sorry for the late reply. Maybe it's just me but I feel that there's not enough humanity in today's digital world. I'm just being myself when I'm videoing myself on UA-cam but I'm no body special. I'm just an ordinary man like any other man living on this earth. Thank you very much for watching my video and I'm glad you enjoyed it. 😊😊
Well in reality the low humanity is general in the world in general, only you need see the situation in Lybia, Ukraine, Middle East...so just by it simple examples of the result of a genuine dedication, enjoy by a hobby, sincere experiences with modesty are important. So certainly you are a very good modelist, always improving and helping to another fans of modelling, yes but the most important is that you are a good person🙂
@@felixherrera3415 Thank you!
I drive my 1944 Jeep in excess of 30mph every week and it is certainly not dangerous. Any vehicle will ‘flip’ if the wheels are turned suddenly at speed so as an owner I strongly disagree. Fair comment about the fuel tank and you failed to mention that the steering column will skewer your heart in the event of a collision.
I heard that they're aftermarket fixes for those issues.
Every video I watch of this model being built has the steering wheel fitted incorrectly.
ok
