Was great to meet Martin Williams yesterday and Lechlade proved that it’s not a cake walk to catch your fish but as long as you keep moving and try different stuff you will be rewarded....I enjoy having to work to catch my fish as we it’s more rewarding when you crack it
Russell Thompson blue flash damsels are probably the most consistent pattern you can use at any venue....if I fish somewhere new of I don’t know what the fish are feeding on.....I reach for the blue flash damsel
Watch most of your vids and really enjoy them, however did get a bit giddy due to head cam. did you send your airflo line back for replacement. Mine is rubbish, too much memory. got to have a good line. I've just purchased a barrio line. Off the reel amazing. Waiting first trip out.
Shaun Fishes I actually tried the go pro hero session 5 which is a smaller camera so it was lighter to wear however the stabilisation was nowhere near as advanced as my go pro hero 7 white.....I used the older go pro for two vids then sold it as I did not like the shaky footage....I will never buy another airflo line for as long as i live I have got suckered in by the sales pitch for the last time ...... zero stretch lines have bad memory issues and the polyurethane material that airflo uses seems even worse than other brands.....Barrio lines are really good for the price....I will pick up a Barrio midgetip for both my rods in the next month or two
@@barrybigplums They cast really well, but I think that's the market there chasing. Go to most lakes today and your always going to meet anglers wanting to reach the other side. I will let you know how good it is by next trip. oh I'm from the same part of the world as Gareth wilson uk fly fishes.
Shaun Fishes my regular go pro has image stabilisation which would smooth out the head movements so they were much less jarring.....Makes a big difference to the footage I noticed it right away when trying the older go pro.....I’m back to my regular go pro now so the rest of my vids won’t have that issue
If I leaenwd anything in the 3 years of flyfishing in the UK it is to use the blue flash damsel! 80 percent of my fish come from it, even my 9 year old son tells me to pit it on as soon as we get to any lake!!
Bob Turner hey bob I caught them on the Rockbourne size 14 blue flash damsel.....Martin said he tied a bunch up the previous night so I will defo buy some more as it’s been a killer pattern for me recently

try a sunray line. i have just changed over too them and im very impressed.
I like Sunray lines.....Tom bell does a good job with his stuff.....I’m a big fan of the Orvis lines too
