“Sad Madonna” is the 8th song off of Perfect Animal’s debut LP, “Soft Applause.” Using religious imagery inspired by the Madonna sculptures of the Renaissance period, this song ends with the listener dying in Mary’s arms, being absorbed into the universe in her eyes.
