Glad you got the hexagons and the card. 😃 That baby blanket is beautiful. What a perfect choice of yarn! You could let it be your grandson's perfectly imperfect blanket, or finish it. I kind of like the idea that it's not "perfect", but I'm quite sure your grandson won't care, and it will be treasured and appreciated either way. Little story I read somewhere is how the Amish always have an intentional imperfection in every quilt they make ... supposed to symbolize how none of us are perfect, only God is. So there you have it.
Also, you are in love with your shawl, and I am in love with your shawl. I swear our tastes are so the same because WOW, it is spectacular and now you have added yet another project to my list. lol Absolutely gorgeous, and to me it has a vintage-y/shabby chic sort of feel to it. It's right up my alley!
I would order one and have it mailed to me, lol, and finish that blanket for the sweet grandson!! Congratulations!!
Have 2 sent and do a border. I love the way you do C2C. I hate that floppy look with soft dk's
The shawl is unbelievable...beautiful!!!🥰 And, no do not leave the C2C unfinished.
Wow, wow, wow🤩 I love ,love ,love that shawl you made.and pattern, it’s absolutely gorgeous ❤
The shawl is all that! color, pattern, everything works beautifully together. Love it! 💛🧡🤎
Congrats on the birth of your grandson. I would personally leave the blanket as is. It will be unique. The shawl colors are gorgeous together.
That gorgeous shawl is precisely why I think that if i can only afford to make one hand dyed wearable, I'll make cotton wash cloths for a couple months ❤
Congratulations on your new grandson!
The shawl is absolutely gorgeous!!😊
Tat shawl is beautiful, Amy!
Congratulations on your new grandson! Being that C2C is for new grandchild, I would want to finish it in celebration of how special his birth is! ❤ So, I would suggest to finish it, with a similar weight yarn that will come to matching one the colors in the blanket, so you can save your self making a long drive! Or, even calling the store and seeing they will take a mail order!
Your shawl is absolutely beautiful! 🤩 I would dare say that choice of colors totally allows you to call it your make! Also, that Lavender color shawl is very beautiful, too! 😍 I would love to know the name of the pattern, so that I can look it up! Thank you for sharing your video with us. 😊
It's absolutely gorgeous Amy! 😍
Christine's card is phenomenal. I think of Hawaii when I see it.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that ... 😄
Gorgeous shawl, Amy. I can see why you love it so much. The colors are perfect! The hexagon "squares" are so pretty. Can't wait to see how you work up the blanket with the variety of items you've received!
Wow the shawl is gorgeous
Just love your gorgeous shawl. ❤ Enjoy it!!
Absolutely beautiful 😍 You made the right choices Will look stunning with everything 😊
Your shawl is absolutely gorgeous! The flow of colors is perfect and the movement and drape is divine! It must feel amazing! Beautifully done.
I’d certainly call the shop first to see if they have the yarn you’re looking for, and perhaps you can make the purchase over the phone. Barring that they could at least hold it for you until you could get there. Good luck! 🦋
Your shawl is beautiful! ❤
Gosh that shawl. You're motivating me to try making a shawl. Thanks
Beautiful shawl
The shawl is gorgeous 😍. The colors are so pretty. I love the baby blanket. I'd go get more of yarn to finish the baby blanket and make a matching hat or sweater or both.
Amy, you have a good eye for beautiful yarns and yarn combos! The shawl is gorgeous. I would probably go buy another cake. Who knows? You may find a use for it on that project.
Amy, Love. love the shawl and the yarn you used. I will definitely be check out that pattern. Please don't leave the baby C2C unfinished. If you can't find the same yarn, can you find a soft white to complete. Sorry maybe it just me. If you like it the way it is and are happy with it leave it.
I would make the drive to pick up another skein to finish off the blanket so it doesn’t look wonky
I always use a natural yarn or at the least a blend. I have a personal problem with petroleum based yarns but that aside, i don't like the way they stretch out of shape. Not a yarn snob, just know what i like 😊
Would that yarn shop consider shipping, if you called and asked? Otherwise, perhaps sub a comparable yarn to finish that beautiful blanket? Your shawl is stunning! I think you can call it your creation - you chose the yarn and made it uniquely your own! Well done!
I have bought a lot of EFA, and find the colors to be dull. If you like muted colors,go for it, but i like getting the full color saturation.
Love the purple shawl where can I find pattern best tutorial
Could u call n order it n have it mailed 2 ya the card is beautiful n so isnt the hexagons n ur shawl is so so beautiful u have a gr8 day
This is so ironic because I just finished a c2c last night where I had this same issue. I had 3 cakes and I took part of the third one to work on the middle, hoping I would have enough to finish , but I didn't have enough in 2nd cake and had to pull more from the 3rd one. I have heard it takes more to decrease than to increase but idk 🤷♀️
I live in Florissant. I'd love to know what the shop is that you went to. I don't know of any yarn shop except at Meyers House but I was told it closed. I will definitely go there!
What pattern is the shawl?
