Detailed, but not in a distracting way like many Castle builds I've seen where the walls are overly detailed. He stuck with a three to four techniques that add detail, and realism, but still fit the rest of the build and some more classic LEGO sets. I really appreciate that because some people just go overboard on detail that areas meant to be focal points don't stand out.
You're right, that must be why I thought this castle was fantastic compared to the generic over-detailed castle MOCs we see all the time.Simple techniques and consistent style throughout the build go a long way in making a great MOC.
I like the custom flags, the texture of the wall and the no Lego brand dragon (it's from 'Mega'). But except two houses, everything is placed rectangular. There are more possibilities with hinges or wedge plates to angle houses, bridges and more. The standard roofs can also be exchanged for individual ones. 9/10⭐
this is insane! how could you skip the dragon tho? the tortured figures are craaazy!. i think thats the most impressive castle ive seen so far! im searching for inspiration right now 😂
The greatest castle moc I have ever seen. It's the attention to detail and blend of techniques that really shine. The only detail I would upgrade, is the drawbridge design. Counterweighted medieval castle drawbridges usually don't have external chains pulling up the external beams. That mechanism would be internal and the chains would normally be attached to the counterweight on the other end of the beams itself, pulling it down, not up. :)
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I love your narrative and truly appreciate your eye on the small detail that I intentionally put so much effort into. 😊
Maan I was smiling through whole video, I am detailist and watching this lvl of attention to detial is very satisfying 😀 just amazing inagination and skill in building techniques, sic creativity 👌🏼
A lot of the smaller pieces are 5 cents or less, but with shipping, and the cost of larger pieces, estimate about 10 cents per piece. This MOC has likely 100,000 parts or more, so $10,000 USD whether you order from Bricklink or Lego. If you live near an official Lego User Group or LUG they are allowed to do a bulk parts order once a year at a discount. I am forming a Castle LUG with a few others in mid Michigan to do a castle like this.
A bit weird that a dragon is attacking the castle yet people still work at the docks and dance at the ballroom, but a really detailed build altogether.
let’s not forget trent is coming up to full fitness, thiago had a cameo, and bradley will be back soon too let alone robbo hitting his stride let’s go for it reds, first proper loss this season. city also lost to arsenal away. let’s beat city at anfield and really put the cat among the pigeons !!!!
The irony of you talking about "historical accuracy" less than 2 seconds after we see a minifig holding a saxophone. LOL Other than that...this build is AMAZING
Yep, this is well done. I just didn't like the one done by Beyond the Brick. As someone else in these comments said, it was just too busy. I love this build.
Real castles were not that big. Another example that more is not better. Texture and detail overkill. Best moc is still the Caribbean Port Town by VaneStream.

I doesn't fry your brain like tiktok
How do these people keep the mocs so clean and free from dust? There must be a special technique.
Air duster spray for computers
They have money and pay somebody to do it for them.
Seen this castle on several channels and still can't get enough
Life has been good to Black Falcon!
By far, best lego creation i’ve ever seen.
Astonishing.
There are a lot of great ones out there this one is wonderful. In my opinion it's not the best but is a great build nonetheless

Now that’s a castle build!
Insanely amazing...

Ayyee glad you enjoyed the video man, you did a great job on the MOC!
2:37 i found Homer enjoying the bankett. Did one of you recognise that? My most likely detail 😂
Y'know, I've always been a lot more fond of large figure building, but it's from things like this that my soft spot for system originates.
i wish i could shrink myself down and walk around the castle
Amazing detail!

Any estimate on how much just the raw bricks would cost, like if I wanted to order them from bricklink? Or an order of magnitude, at least?

Just wow!
Yeah, this is amazing!! Thanks for sharing it with us! I might have to get a Flickr account just to follow the creator.
Ooo wow
I would love to see more details of this one
This is incredible!
I want to build a victorian harbor one day :) I already have some huge ships.

6:53 what's with benny the space man from the lego movie? specifically, I think that's his lego movie 2 figure
Also 0:23 Darth Vader and Luke and dueling in the centre of the shot.

Where was this exhibition?
wow, every detail has beed cared. And its more costly than my car :D
Imagine having to move this build from location to event and back again.
I was seriously about to turn my divide off and go to sleep, the I saw this.
Why doesn't LEGO make arches with masonry pattern?
an excellent 8.5 minutes
4:07. Earthquake

nice castle, but bookshelves shouldn't be in bedrooms, just in the library imo
Yep, this is well done. I just didn't like the one done by Beyond the Brick. As someone else in these comments said, it was just too busy. I love this build.
Did he really only use Lego parts, or at least in the structure, also blocks of other manufacturers?
what size is this m,oc
where to buy?
Anyone else spotted homer?

Слишком много лего.
Large, detailed, boxy, oversized fantasy
