Unfortunately - this video is a DISSERVICE for passengers - now if you would start out saying that this is the riskiest way to try to get home.... Yes, if you get off the ship, say no later than 8am, AND dont have traffic, you will probably make it. It only takes 1 delay to push everything out of schedule, and you miss your flight. Ever have a 'medical emergency' on board? Its more common than not with these Super Mega Hotel ships. We had to turn around, head 3 hours back to the nearest hospital, Come into the port, (we know how long that takes!) Dock, off load passenger, and undock, and leave the port) I think we did the port process in 90-120 minutes. So now add that up. Its midnight - turn around and go 3 hours BACK, its now 3 am, do the off loading process, I'll be nice 1 hour MINIMUM, its now 4 AM, now travel the 3 hours back to where you were when you turned around, its 7AM You are now 7 HOURS behind schedule returning to port. Yes the ship can make up some time by speeding up, our trip had a Sea day before we were to dock. We actually didnt pull into the port until 7am, and didnt start off loading until 9am... That 11am flight? you might as well kiss it goodbye, now you will pay FEES for the flight changes, especially if you have to switch airlines. Can it be done? Sure Can ! Is it HIGHLY risky? SURE IS !
