I LOVE that it is driven like that! Cars are made to be driven.
I love the quote that: cars, no matter how nice, are meant to be driven.
Just when you start to get tired of Camaro’s you drop that bad boy. That thing is amazing
I'm a Mopar guy through & through but that car is BADASS! Much respect!
Tired of camaros? No such thing!
Dam 😍 they should turbo or supercharger it
@@aceboogie8959 it's perfect NA. So pure
The warranty is amazing too, probably comes with lifetime bumper to bumper. What??? nothing, your on your own. I’ll be laughing at the guy sitting next to me in that thing who paid half a mill to be left out in the cold. Insurance will be laughing too, you want how much coverage, HaHa get out of my office.
I'd take that over any exotic !
What are you talking about that thing is as exotic as any European car
@@randygarcia8795 I should have said any non american car
Not for haft of million
@@randygarcia8795 in USA, a Camaro is not exotic.
"Brixton" and "Tony" are bots... block the word "instapwn" in your youtube preferences...
This has to be my favorite build on this channel yet. It sounds so savage!!! Never heard anything like it, so unique and great. What a gorgeous build. Thanks for sharing this one Shawn!
Thanks Adan. The sound is like nothing else and yea, completely violent
I think I literally drooled listening to this car lol. Its up there my list too!
@@AutotopiaLA No way is that $500,000!!! More like $499,999.99....plus tax ;)
Mercury BOAT MOTOR!!
@@AutotopiaLA he how I got. One I
One of the nicest pro touring 69 Camaros period. Top 5 for sure. So tastefully done. Colors go so good together. Thanks for sharing. You guys rock!!!
Glad you appreciate all the components as much as I do. What an amazing build
Wow! Just..Wow!! Cool using a boat engine. One thing people don't really think about with boat engines, yeah they make a ton of power, but they're durable as hell. A boat's engine is ALWAYS under load. Right from idle to cruise. There's no coasting in a boat. They're designed to be worked 100% of the time, and Mercury is at the top of the boat engine game. Such an awesome car. Thanks Shawn. 👍👍
You get it! These engines are tested flat out for multiple days so big yes on durability and what a unique sound!
@@AutotopiaLA😅😮😮😮😅😅😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮f😊
A constant load is actually easy on the engine. Rapid rpm change, low rpm loading and TDC on the exhaust stroke at high rpm are much harder. A 4in stroke at 8k rpm each piston is changing direction 266 times per second with an inertial weight of 4500lbs at BDC and 6500lbs at T.D.C. luckily fuel consumption will limit total time 7L spends turning 8k rpm.
“Loves being at that high RPM” - then short shifts it a 5k rpm repeatedly… right as it’s about to hit its powerband. Let it sing. That engine is happy at 7800-8000 rpm all day long. That last 3000 rpm is where it comes alive.
Exactly my thoughts and disappointment. Can see it in the builders face too, besides him repeatedly saying high RPM
@@eballin45 the first look he gives him is “don’t be a pu**y!”
I mean, hes on a public road. Maybe it gained speed to violently.
Exactly, Mercury Marine designed that engine to pull redline all day long. That engine doesn't come alive until a push rod engine is red lining.
I'm a mopar guy but i've probably seen this clip at least 40 times now and can not stop watching it over and over again. It sounds amazing!!!
How the hell could people dislike this vid..I love it thats one of nicest rides thats been on here in awhile and to go ripping on a sema car come on really. Not many people are going to spend that kinda cash on a car then let someone go rip on it..gotta give props to the owner and all the guys that worked on it, and one big shout out to Shawn for another great video and one nice burnout for us..keep up the great work!!!
haters
@@user-fx5cd4px3k yeah deff
how can you see dislikes? they are hidden now
750 NA HP fast revving and high revving? Man that's a dream. Reminds me of those high compression LS7 builds. The dream!
Never heard of this builder before, but this car shows he's as good as anyone out there building high end SEMA type show cars. This Camaro is top notch. Car is perfect, from stem-to-stern.
What a work of art! You can keep your Ferraris and Lamborghinis, this is a super car. And that noise......sounds like a 1970 Trans Am racer! Sean Smith is a very underrated designer. Need to see more of his work!
His stuff is incredible. And I’m with you on this over any “supercar”
What a paint job. I don’t have the words to do it justice.
Yeah, this whole car is really stunning
This engines sound should be a ringtone. If we all had a car like this, this world would be a happier place.
That DOHC ls7 is SICK!! Makes u wonder what a 750hp n/a C8 would be like
Usually not a fan of custom built cars but this one is an exception. Bravo!!
FINALLY.. seen videos of this car and the engine itself but FINALLY a video where it’s being driven !!! It’s been like 2 years I’ve been keeping up with this car. I’m a sucka for Modular engines, this 427 DOHC is a treat to watch
Such a joy to finally shoot it and drive it!! What an exceptional build on all levels
@@AutotopiaLA it’s a masterpiece 🙌🏼
That car sounds amazingly loud & aggressive, like a NASCAR.....very cool Camaro.
Very Nascar sounding for sure
I honestly think this is the best sounding car I've ever heard! I need to know more about this engine because I want two of 'em!
It’s really a unique sound and completely violent!
@@AutotopiaLA flat single plane crankshaft?
@@supertruckertom nope, bog standard LS7 cross-plane. Just the quad camshafts and the exhaust tuning giving it that sound.
This 69 Camaro Is absolutelly wonderful, The intirior is Nice and crazy. I love this Build!
Wow! An amazing build and proves it on the street too! Love that sound!
This build is sick thanks for showing it finished , very unique sounding motor 👍
Maybe I'm wrong but the 69 Camaro is one of the prettiest cars ever.
And this one is awesome
You're un-wrong
Easy top 3 of the best 69 Camaro builds out there. From the color scheme, wheel choice, stances, exhaust. Beautiful build.
Unbelievable build. Hope they are going to include seatbelts at some point soon!
Most likely it’ll get belts but for shooting and showing which is all it’s done so far it looks better
I just got mad respect for the owner. Tearing it up in the desert windows down even.😁
Get that trailer queen stench out of here.
All I have to say is GAWD DAMN 👀. This thing is brutal
The level of build is pure insanity !
The motor, seriously, can’t say enough
Can’t imagine what you felt starting that machine up and driving it ! Thank you Shawn.
Ok Shawn. I see your point. Some of these guys do the car show rounds right after the build, before any street driving, so the car looks and is pristine. Then, after a year or 2 of showing the car, they drive it and let guys like you test it out and do a video. Fair enough. This 69 is a beast. He said it has a custom chassis, so can I assume that it is essentially a full framed Camaro? Normally, these Camaros were the so-called "unibody" design lacking a full frame and therefore subject to body tweak (twist) if overpowered. It sure looked like it wanted to hook up and not spin the tires which is exactly what you want. Great video brother!
With the 4 valve heads it sounds so much like a Ford 5.2 Voodoo motor
That first burnout kinda hurt . Loooota clutch
LS BASED DUAL OVER HEAD CAM 🤯🤯🤯🤯
What an amazing car, all the little things just make it such a special car. I would find that detail work after the photo and video shoot so satisfying to watch too
Neighbors would love it at 6am sunday for golf, awesome Camaro
Oh yeah, lots of love from the neighbors 😂
Thats a wicked build. That motor is really interesting would like t see more detail about it. If the owner is willing to thrash it in the desert he should have no qualms about the track! We wanna see that!
Holy cow! 🤯 That DOHC high revv sound is like nothing else. DAMN WE NEED MORE DOHC ENGINES 🙏🤞🤞💪💪NA FTW...
Also larger bore size engines too. This 7.0 sounds good. Coming from a Big Block fan lol.
Toyota...
Did somebody say Coyote? Or Voodoo if you really like revs.
The best art being created today is with these amazing custom jobs. These guys have such a great eye for design, colors, and flow
Agreed all the way here. Sean Smith is as good as it gets in design imo
Gabe is the best! Been following him since the days of Boyd and American Hot Rod
GM should just contract Mercury to make the motors for C8 going forward.
Or have the Camaros go out with a big ass bang with a DOHC engine like this
The engine alone would cost more than the c8
@@dannyt9067 forsure
@@dannyt9067 not really, they only cost about $30k from the Roadster Shop. Probably $20k/unit if mass-produced.
Chevy has made a DOHC LS block for a prototype Camaro Z28. It produced around 720hp naturally aspirated
I could look at this thing everyday
I hear ya
69 Camaro is easily one of the best looking cars ever made. The hideaway headlights is a must have option as is either the SS or Cowl induction hood. This particular car is a beast.
WHAT A UNIQUE CHEVY CAMARO
Damm that thing sounds gnarly.
I remember a few years back when I first learned of this engine. I was super amped; it reminds Me of Moser's setup, only more technically advanced. I'm hyped to see it in a 69; My Favorite Camaro; this entire build is otherworldly!
I love the way this car sits, the low stance, as well as basically EVERYTHING !!
Dude that idle sound! Such a beauty of a build, one of my favorites on your channel. Thanks guys!
Mercury does great and amazing engines
That sound is absolutely amazing. That is a very special motor. DOHC LS7
I’m a street truck guy but that thing is f’n sick! Awesome ride!
I followed this build and it's just AMAZING! Love everything about it.
Yeah, really an incredible design and build all around
The car is amazing. Wheels really popped on outside was excellent look and super clean. That interior and engine bay so cleanly done. Another great video
This whole design and build is really special. Such a joy to get to shoot it and drive it after the long wait!
@@AutotopiaLA you find some excellent examples to shoot videos. Presentation is to match just genuinely enjoy watching these. Viewers will keep coming forsure ill enjoy watching Channel grow
That’s the engine I would swap in a C8. It just seems “right”.
A little less compression ratio and an lt5 supercharger and easily will have like 1200HP.
Man this is such a insane build that I could only wish were Mine.
All around Badass .
I have the same wish my friend!
Amazing build! Love the color scheme inside and out. That motor does sound vicious
Idk, the purple paint looks like a Charger color, and doesn't match the interior cream and maroon. The stripes are cool, but I would have liked black or gray paint. Or something on the maroon level to match interior.
I dont even know this guy Caeser but he seems like one of the coolest guys you could meet, living the dream, buying high end custom fast cars and actually driving them the way you're supposed to and not garage queening them. Major props to you Caeser! Enjoy that badass camaro 🤘🏾
Bestial!!!...color combo...wheel and interiors...street dominator 69...congrats!!!
Amazing build and design for sure
This is one of the cleanest build I’ve ever seen. That engine is a thing of art
Wow! Just a complete car from top to bottom. Totally love it! And that it is not just a show queen. Killer video
Thanks Chris! Stellar build and what a crazy unique sounding engine
I am getting american hot rod with boyd Coddington flashbacks right now, gabe😍
Gabes! They really are the best interior shop in the game for me
8:41 yes Shawn...she really wants you to "hit it." 🤭🤣
Wow! Perfect. Those wheels... That motor!!! Badass to the bone.
Driving the Car hard and fast on the fine dust from the Desert is going to get dust everywhere. After doing that, driving it hard on the streets and in the rain is taking it easy on the car.
That’s the truth
So amazing, love it. Complete perfection!
That’s absolutely gorgeous. What an amazing build.
Yeah, really exceptional from design to finished build
A car like this is priceless.
I never knew mercury made engine for cars I live it when I learn something new about cars
They’ve been doing this for a while now but still not a lot of people know about it
@@AutotopiaLA how do I get more details about that
@@AutotopiaLA If I'm not wrong, I believe they are the one that produced the DOHC Corvette back in the 90's
@@hughmongous6613 ...Mercury marine was tasked with the production of the original ZR1 aluminum engine blocks by GM in its foundry.
Dude the sounds it makes omg
Insane!
Holy Shhhhhhhhhh beauty and the beast 😍
Definitely the perfect description
Awesome build! Amazing car!
Yes and hell yes 🤘
That is one badass Camaro! It took me a minute, but the color combo of those wheels and the car paint remind me of the '69 Sunoco racing Camaro.
I have seen Gabe's do so many bad ass interiors for years. Now to see them building cars is awesome.
Gabes is still doing interiors but Jesus broke off to start Lopez Customs. He’s killing it with his builds
Talk about an adrenaline rush! Badass car for sure, bro.
Yeah, it had me all jacked up!
I'ma happy with 350 horsepower,
and a radio. Nice build- the craftsmanship is totally rocking.
Oh boy Shawn, you are so fortunate to drive these beautiful built cars. I love how violent that engine sounds. Great video !!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That’s a CAMARO😁👍
I am in love with this car!!!!! WOW!!!!!
Knock out 💯
Wow. This is a masterpiece 😳
Agreed. Really great design and build
That is a work of art, a masterpiece straight up!
I think the 69 Camaro is my favorite body style of the Camaros.
Mine as well! 👍
Glad to see this car being driven.. what an amazing build thanks for the amazing show ..
Dream car! Everything's done so incredibly nice. Just awesome!
Oufff that thing loud! Love it!
1969 camaro rippin it up🔥🔥🔥
This thing sounds insane
Best looking Camaro I've ever seen. Exception to detail for sure.
Hey Shawn, you finally got to drive the awesome Grimm 7.0! You may have a little trouble trying to top this one. Say, did you ever
buy that new mid engine Vette?
That engine sounds so evil!!
Nothing quite like it and it’s violent
One of my absolute favs ever on your channel Shawn, this thing is bad ass!
Same for me! This is such a badass build
Perfection is their religion
Wow 😯 bad ass !!!! That car is a 10 👍
What a bad ass camaro build 🔥
✌
That Camaro Is Phenomenal🍷🍹🍸
It really is an exceptional build
This is a badass car love the way the engine sounds
That engine is violent!
This is one of the coolest camaro's I've ever seen
One word...Beast
Been waiting for the finished car. Did not disappoint. Well done all round.........
Amazing car! It sounded like you were short-shifting it, and I completely understand. I'm betting the redline is up around 8,000 or possibly higher. My built LS6 will spin to 7,000.
I don’t know the redline but I wasn’t getting deep in. Only about 5K or so. With 5 mins of seat time I’m not pushing it to limits
That interior is so tight,,, wish I knew more abut these mercury engines
Insane build !!! Congrats guys !!
No words just motor.
This car needs to be in a movie asap!
