I have a co-worker who told me his grandfather-in-law claims a black family that settled in southeastern Idaho in the 1960s was "encouraged to leave" by local Mormons using fear and intimidation. I would be curious to know if that sort of thing actually happened regularly or if that was an isolated incident.
