Hey! we had the same problem on a Mitsubishi aoutlander 2016 phev so we went to the nearest Mitsubishi painkiller. they said to start the car in the first position and turn on the hazard warning lights and then press lock and unlock ten times.
If your wifi password have 10 characters, then you need the security update at the dealer. after update wifi psw is 14 chars. And the app only work with 14 characters.
Hi there, I was just wondering how did you get rid of the white blank screen, I have uninstalled and installed the app the white screen keeps coming back .I brought my car a year ago and the lady gave me the SSID and password after trying to connect 3 times my app keeps giving me blank now white screen. I didn't know you have to delete other devices first now I know how to delete them and uninstall the app and see what happens. It will be great if you could tell me how you got rid of the white screen.many thanks.
Hi, you have to delete all the devices from the phone and start again. I have another video up showing how to do it. The video is called 'deleting devices from the Outlander PHEV App', scrolling on my videos, and you will see it. following it step by step, and you will be back up and running again. Hope this helps. Hi Jackie, did you follow my instructions to T? I'm asking because my neighbour has the same car as mine and wanted to delete a device from his app and I told him to watch my video and he told me once he had done it that it has worked. So you may have missed something or not understood something. Please give it another go. Shut the drivers door, DON'T PUT YOU FOOT ON THE BRAKE, put the hazard lights on and leave them on whilst doing the procedure. When you put the car in AUX mode you first start with the lock button and then unlock doing both 5 times which is a total of 10. You will then hear a beep. Once you hear the first beep then repeat the same procedure 20 times this time. Then you will hear another beep, then that will wipe out all the previous devices in the system. Then you go to the Outlander app that you should have downloaded then follow the steps and find the SSID name which is the network of your car then you tap the one that is related to your car and which should be on the card then enter your password then you should get a blue/green tick in the circle which means its complete! Let me know how you get on this time!
