Bought the TS3200 DE, same great fit, just a bit more rugged. Straps attach to bike in same places but different connections to straps. It is a great bag.
Just took my 1st weekend road trip on my Supernova 400 miles to the Catskills of NY and this bag was a perfect companion! I had also installed a Givi luggage rack and used that to secure the back straps. Not only did I appreciate the "back rest", I found that the added weight helped 'ground' the Meteor 350 against those strong cross winds. Thanks for the referral Chuck!
Thanks Heather! You were actually not the first person to say those exact words to me! So funny! Hey, are you by chance related to Ruth Hartung, here in Sedona?
Ps, Forgot to say, one of the most informative comments you made was near the end of this video, when you pointed out that this bag can double as something of a backrest for the driver! I'm sure it's not the most incredible backrest ever, but I can see that as providing a nice form of support for those long cruises. Thanks again Chuck!
This is the best cargo arrangement for small commuter bikes with no luggage rack. Pillion fit. I was going to buy one, but noticed a Louiville Slugger baseball gear bag is nearly identical with similar buckles, pockets, zippers and tough as nails...very water resistant with the heavy duty bat compartment at bottom. Thrift store find...$3 I put (strapped, clipped) two smaller pannier bags on either side and it made the tunnel yolk. Great for camping. I strap it on identically to you, but a different standard bike. Strap it to the frame and grab bars. Been off road and on 400 mile highway trips to Cerohala/Moonshine and it never wiggled loose. I'm thinking the saddlebag bag is adapted by them from a standard athletic big duffle.
Amazing review! for such a great sales person -passion and sincerity combined with knowledge. I bought it and one important point is that it doesn’t stick out past the handlebars which is important
you have to be the best “how to“. guy on the Internet. Hard to believe I can watch this multiple times and be entertained. Another great video! I bought it for my meteor and it does work great. I bet your yoga class is just as good
Thank you for making this video, Chuck. I have researched this bag and found that they also make a ‘tactical’ version that hold it’s shape, which may work well for a variety of uses. I am also looking into graduating from a VanVan 200 to a Meteor 350, so I’m really enjoying your channel! You have a very soothing style, and I am enjoying watching your catalog of videos! Cheers to you and Alissa from San Diego!
Thanks for the complete review of the Tail Bag,Now on my "to purchase" list, Got my Meteor on order and been waiting 6 weeks for it's arrival, They seem to be in short supply here in the UK.
Thanks for the kind words, my friend! I ordered a blue meteor here in the states, then I waited two months for it to show up, finally I just bought the black one that was on the showroom floor. I’m honestly so happy I did, I like it so much better than the blue one. I hope yours arrives soon! Send me some photos when it arrives! I would love to see it! 🙏🏻
I ride an SV650. Have you ever tried this in something like a street naked bike? The tunnel fits perfectly on my bike but I don;t think I have the same mounting anchors as that license plate holder of yours on the meteor. I have the pillion foot pegs for the 2 front straps though great review! i love this channel
It’s soooo hard to find anything for any of these foreign bikes right now. These bags seem to be the best option for what I’m looking for. After literally months of research.
Thanks for the video & the tip, BRB. Probably because of the upgraded model (as you mentioned in the description) I was able to order this model new for a little under 80 USD. At full price I considered it a deal but for 40 USD less I couldn’t pass it up!
Hey bro, I tried both the touring the seat and the lowride seat. I'm 5'11". The touring seat changes the whole rider's triangle. You won't get much room to move around. Also the handle bar feels closer too. I felt very uncomfortable using the touring seat. Switching to the low ride seat felt like a big change. It was Far better. The handlebars were at the perfect position . But my friend who is 5'6" fel more comfortable using the touring seat since he didn't have to stretch his arms. I also felt like the touring seat robbed the cruiser seating position from me.
Thanks for this! I own a Meteor 350 too, though mine's the Fireball Yellow. It's nice to know that there's a cool bag like this. BTW, Hitichcock's Motorcycles in the UK (they have EVERYTHING Royal Enfield!) carries two or three different soft, throwover saddle bags that hang off the side of the bike; like the bag featured here, they're soft sided and removable. BTW, why is there only a saddlebag for the right side only? Because, in India, the left side of the bike has a sari guard; the women sit sideways, so they mount a guard to keep the sari out of the rear wheel and sprocket. A bag can't be mounted on the lefs side of the bike, so that's why one isn't available.
I read that someone, I can't renember who or when, bought 2 of the right hand ones and had the mounting frame altered for the left side. Only minor disadvantage was the lid opened backwards.
@@davidgalt8107 Thanks, David! I have heard the same thing. I have recently found a couple of after-market companies who make BEAUTIFUL locking hard-cases and mounting brackets for the Meteor 350. I'm in the process of reaching out to them to see if they'll work with me to do some reviews. I'm very excited. I'll keep you posted! 💙🙏🏼
Thanks for another outstanding video, Chuck. Small question... I realize you haven't found the hard cases for the bike yet, but have you any solution on how to lock your helmet onto your bike when you're just running into a store or something? I realized that some people buy these small lockable chains or cables to do the trick. Old motorcycles used to have helmet locks that worked with your ignition key. New bikes that have hard cases oftentimes can fit a full face helmet in the hard case and lock it. Any suggestions on the meteor 350?
Thanks for the love! 💙 🙏🏼 Actually, I've had my eye out for something to lock my helmet to my bike. With an $800 helmet, it needs to be locked up. Every lockable add-on I find is something that can be easily removed from the handlebars with a screwdriver. I've been sadly unimpressed. I haven't looked that hard, but it's definitely something I need. Thanks for bringing it up. When I find one, I'll definitely do a review.
This IS the best review that I've ever seen! Thanks for the measurements, this is going to be my traveling bag now Just one q, what do you when it's raining? I'm thinking of putting a trash bag on top of it
Thank you so much for the kind words, my friend! Excellent question about the rain. I've only used this bag on 3 rides. Because I live in the Arizona desert, we don't get much rain here, so it hasn't happened yet. If and when I DO ride in the rain with it, I plan to use a big trash bag - the kind I would use to rake up leaves with in my yard. What kind of bike do you ride?
Great question! This tailbag does NOT come with a waterproof cover. I have ridden with this bag in a light rain, and the water seemed to bead up on the outside of the bag, so I guess I would call this bag "water resistant". But I have yet to ride with this bag in a real downpour. I do always ride with a plastic trash bag to put over it, in case I run into harder rain. We don't get an abundance of rain where I live, in Arizona, but if and when it happens, I'll definitely post something about it!
Thanks for the great video- love the detail you showed on installation. We appreciate you.
Thank you, Saddlemen! I genuinely enjoy your product. I would love to be in touch with you about reviewing more.”
great video no one ever shows how the straps connect, yours is the first. thanks
The best product review I've ever seen. Thanks
Thank you for a well done video. This bag as of April 2024 is $152.00.
Bought the TS3200 DE, same great fit, just a bit more rugged. Straps attach to bike in same places but different connections to straps. It is a great bag.
Just bought a Meteor and this product is perfect. Thanks for doing a video on it!
Bob ross of motorcycle gear reviews. 10/10 would watch again even if I don't have any intention of buying the bag lol

New Subscriber. Brilliant review. Going to order one for my Honda Shadow. Done the measurements. Will fit perfectly👍
I have a meteor 350 and really appreciate these reviews. It is my first bike, and I gotta say, I really like it.
Thanks, Mariana! Glad you like them! 💙🙏🏼
It's a great bag I have it . Brilliant simple design good material I especially like the horizontal zippers that go the whole distance front and rear

Absolutely! I love loading up my bike and then sliding into the seat when I have my tail bag on it. It's like climbing into an easy chair! 💙 🙏🏼
Thanks. Best breakdown of this bag I've seen so far.
rider from S.Korea here got one after seeing your vid and I love the bag so much! thanks for the info
Keep em coming, your reviews are honest, clear and precise.
Excellent, detailed and comprehensive review.
Really appreciate this upload. I reckon this luggage may be a good choice for my Interceptor 650.

Any thoughts on why you didn't go with a tall
upright bag that just hangs over to your sissy bar?

When you opened the bag, you sold it to me.

Nice review! Just bought the bag on your link! Do you think the bag will stay secure on the backseat without backrest? Thx mate
Great video! Thanks.
Hi, Givi has a hard case solution for the meteor
Thanks for the heads up! I'll check them out! 💙🙏🏼
Hi, would you happen to know if this could fit the RE Classic 350?
I don't know, but if the Classic has the same seat size, I would say yes.
What did you pack in your bag? Also, do you know any saddle bags that fit on the meteor 350?
Hey hope you’re ok. Haven’t seen anything from you in a while. Cheers Cruzeoverland (Andrew)

@@BackRoadBikerChuck just what I was thinking!
I'm currently riding a 2014 HD Sportster 1200T and was looking for a bag just like this one to travel
Good video! Please send me the video for your windshield.( couldnt find) thx
Do you think you can fit a full size helmet? From your measurement seams 10inch in the middle section and a full size helmet is like 11 inches
can this bag be use attached to a rear support or is it too heavy? because i ride with my GF
I don't see your video on the windshield
