Making A Belt with the Embossed Gater Strips
Вставка

- Make yourself an "alligator" belt at the fraction of the cost that a genuine belt would normally sell for in a fancy leather goods store. These 8 to 9 oz. (3.2 to 3.6 mm) cowhide strips are deeply embossed with a beautiful alligator print. Let it age naturally or add some instant color with our selection of Waterstains. Just add some snaps and a nice buckle.

Very nice. I just purchased the materials to make the exact black belt...
super cool channel!!
+ESCAGEDO WOODWORKING Thank you!
Can you recommend a good belt maker that makes these kinds of belts
Just a quick question, why not finish the inside of the belt as well? Great job on the videos, keep em coming!
+bigtruck147 It can be much more difficult to seal the flesh side of the leather, so there is a chance that the color might run. Typically if you were wanting to finish the inside of the belt, you would want to sew in a liner.
I used Feibings Tan Coat and then burnished it with a wooden dowel. It came out great!
So how do you emboss the pattern?
You would buy it pre-embossed. www.tandyleather.com/en/product/embossed-gator-double-shoulders cutting straps from these
@@TandyLeatherCo $90 for a shoulder? you can get a whole hide for $200
Can you stamp this?
Zach Z,
We wouldn't recommend stamping embossed leather. The stamps wouldn't clearly show up.
*Gator but nice
