I took my 82 year young mom to see them, her favorite band! in NYC in August. I’ve been watching all these wonderful posts shared, and sending them to her so she can relive the memories, the experience. Friends, does it really matter? Steve vs Arnel? Agree!! Deen should take over the vocals for a bit to give Arnel a rest. I’m sure he will do a great job and sounds closer to SP in my opinion. Cheers from the land downunder😊
Just let Deen sing, and let Arnell retire...wow. He has not sounded good for many years, if at all. Just wow. I am glad they continue to tour at their ages, but nobody, even Steve could match the notes needed to go live anymore with Journey music.

I've heard Arnel sound really good in the past, this was more disappointing to hear live, the vocals sound pretty shaky at times, pitchy and as another commenter mentioned, running out of gas on some of those notes.
Oh boy! Arnell is flat all over the place. He's had a great run singing these difficult songs but right now, it's not good. I saw him on his first or second tour with Journey and he was just wonderful.
@@mdfens3000 that is a very good point. Deen has an amazing voice and for a number of reasons should be singing more. I have seen long videos of the recent Journey concerts and Arnell's voice is shot.
@@JOHNWLOUCKS Yes, I recently discovered the Journey Through Time concert and Deen is amazing, especially singing while playing drums. As a drummer myself, it is mind bowing that he can sound so close to Steve Perry while paying the drums.

He sounds awful, it's over journey and not even Perry can save them now, unfortunately that ship has sailed, arnel is struggling and Steve Perry is gone but will never be forgotten, best remembered for the band they were circa 1983

Journey isnt Journey without Steve Perry. Arnel is horrible. Saw them a couple years ago , music was good but Arnel cant notes like Perry. Waste of money if you buy tickets. 😒

Hes 57yrs. old already he is singing in the band for 17yrs., maybe limit his movement on stage no jump or run anymore
