That's why I like my mid-drive bikes they have plenty of torque, but I do own a Zooz 750 with a hub motor with decent torque as well 😊
what makes an e-bike a mid drive? I got an ariel rider x52v step thru and im wondering if that's a mid-drive
@ahhh a mid-drive has the motor in-between the pedals, and a hub motor is in the rear wheel, my friend 💙👌🏾

I just purchased the Aniioki AQ177 ebike. $1800, Hope it gets shipped soon. Lot heavier than this bike. But it does have 60 amp battery or 3kWh, allowing 100+miles easily. hydraulic brakes 750w (1200 peak) motor and rest pretty much same as ENGWE. So ENGWE may be the better choice for most people.
I just got one a few days ago took it to door dash I only got 80 miles Mosty throttle though under 25 mph and a bit of pedal assist kind of disappointed really 250 miles my ass. More like 250 miles going 9mph

@@aceazar2806 Terrible, tires were crap, motor seized up after few hundred miles and spokes broke. Sat for long while, now I'm in process of putting in new befang motor, solid spoke wheels and new wiring harness with dash control. Thing is I would have been happy to pay a bit more for quality. But many Chinese companies just fail to have quality control. It's a shot in dark as what you get. Oh and I have to fix the seat which will be tricky as they have newer size seat pipe that is larger than almost all seats.
How is the seat and the seating position?

The main thing that concerns me about this bike is the small mechanical brakes. Are they sufficient at stopping? I'm 165lb
At your weight you’d probably be fine, I have a solid steel mountain bike with mechanical disc brakes w/engine cutoff and it stops me fine I weigh 207 in america lbs I think
However upgrading to hydraulic disc brakes is a good thought and can be easily done for about ~$100 maybe a little over if you pay a bike shop to install the professionally for you.

Good to see another Californian with this bike. I live in West LA and I have this bike with a dual battery, hopefully, someday we cross paths. It's an OK bike and I'm not too happy about its performance but I plan to add some things onto like a thumb throttle, better battery, stronger controller, hydraulic brakes, etc. Do you use it for Uber Eats/Doordash?

Hey i hope you don't mind me asking a question, was wondering if you know any cheap ebike thats around $500 and doesn't look like a scooter. Want to get into them but don't want to spend over 1k on them just yet. also love the video like when people give their honest feedback after/while testing instead of that bill board feedback.
You can try to buy a normal bike and convert it into an ebike. A kit is 200$ and a battery is around 300$. Plus the bike it should cost you around 600-700$

Actually I did already try that but the motor didn't fit my bike and couldn't get a refund so was like should have just bought one from the beginning
@@inzetajacklon1278dont buy too cheap..you're gonna regret it. 500 is not even a good pedal bike. an ebike needs better brakes. think about range, speed., etc.

What do you think about this bike for food deliveries? (if you have a backpack of a bag) Just ordered mine to try out food deliveries :D
It’ll probably be ok but as a insurance thing I’d say you may want to add a better rear suspension to keep food from bouncing and in the case of drinks spilling, and extra tip if you use a bag I recommend putting cup holders in the bottom. When I first started I literally just took a McDonald’s cup holder cut it in half and stacked them for strength, that kept them completely good even on my first hard tail mountain ebike conversion.

Man I always get disappointed with bikes that have a battery on the top of the frame. That makes the center of gravity so much higher. They should have at least figured out a way to put the battery upside down.

Not a pro, but let me guess - Made in China? Welding marks are kinda questionable quality.
Everything is made in China, even your phone, and probably every bike sold in the marke has parts and even the whole bike itself made in China, the poor quality status has ended many years ago, because China actually improves their tech and skills
@@mv9197 Nope, there are domestic producers in the USA, like Outrider and Utah Trikes. Same in Europe, I suppose. And yes, I heard about improved Chinese milk with melamine.
