it's interesting to see the stigma the reporters are holding in the discussion without even realizing it! such as comparing "menhera" to "bitch" and also the man heavily implying that mentally ill people might be using their illnesses as an excuse to not do things. i could see bisuko-san and the girl i didn't recognize get uncomfortable when they were saying those things and i felt it too. i think the idols have a good idea about the mental health rest days though, and that absences due to mental health issues should be taken as seriously as absence due to physical health issues if the condition is significantly impairing one's functioning.

5:34 wtf, that's like saying, we can't trust someone if they say they broke their arm, how do we KNOW
if something is clearly wrong internally, you know something's wrong

The man gives off really rude vibes. I understand that he's from another generation, and so may not understand things, but his whole attitude came off to me like "mental illness shouldn't be talked about freely, because it might make healthy people sick". I don't know, maybe I'm just being a bit judgemental of him, but he gives me negative vibes

Alice Starr i agree as well, the things he said were really not considerate and when the girl started to reply he continued going on a tangent... that wasn’t very nice

I see what you mean, I feel it too. But I think another think we can see is that this man is also being realistic, like.... well you have to consider some bad scenarios right? as long as you can take the argument with open mind, you can really find what "value" he was trying deliver with his questions. While honestly I am a bit uncomfortable too with his attitude.

Cool video!! I love Yami Kawaii and Menhera!! Hopefully I can wear it someday!! But um.. how exactly is loneliness, anger, despair, and cowardliness a mental health issue? Aren’t they just regular feelings? I understand that depression is an actual mental illness but the “illnesses” rest of the girls said are just feelings... Just my opinion. Anyways, great video!! I LOVE Ezaki Bisuko!!! ❤️

Due to the stigma in Japan people are not properly educated on the topic and are afraid to go to therapy to get a proper diagnosis.
Loneliness, anger, despair, and cowardliness are symptoms of mental illnesses. For example, loneliness is a symptom of depressive disorders, dementia and alcohol use disorder.

Sometimes I wanna grab all the people in Japan that have mental health problems and bring them to the usa. Becouse I get the feeling those type of people are not taken seriously on japan. I just wanna bring them here and drink strawberry milk with them and talk about art Is that so hard to ask! Lol

they wouldn't be taken seriously in the US either... there's very few places if at all where society actually takes us seriously.
